Abstract: Coiled tubing optimized for long, horizontal completions is provided. The tubing comprises a body portion; at least two tapered portions, each tapered portion defining distal ends spaced apart from one another; and at least one bias weld portion. In some embodiments, the tapered portions are located between the body portion and the bias weld. The tubing has a weld thickness in the bias weld portion(s), a body thickness in the body portion, and a taper thickness in the tapered portions; generally, the thickness of the bias weld portion is greater than the body portion thickness. The wall thickness transitions from one end of each tapered portion to the other end of the same tapered portion.

Abstract: A pressure control valve arrangement is described for controlling a fluid pressure in an ABS brake system of a vehicle such that, in the event of a tendency of individual wheels of the vehicle to lock, the brake pressure in at least one associated brake cylinder can be adaptively adjusted, including: a housing in which is formed at least one pressure-medium-conducting pressure medium duct and in which is provided a diversion of the flow of the pressure medium within the pressure medium duct from a portion of the pressure medium duct leading in one direction into a portion of the pressure medium duct leading in another direction, in which the pressure medium duct is produced together with the housing by primary forming, and in which the cross section of the pressure medium duct is oval and the major dimension of the oval cross section and the central axis of the pressure medium duct are arranged in a common plane, and the minor dimension of the oval cross section is perpendicular to the plane.
Abstract: A pipe connector for connecting to a first pipe includes a second pipe and a fastener. The second pipe has a number of connection sections of difference outer diameters, one of which is fittingly coupled to the first pipe. The fastener sleeves on the first pipe and the second pipe and fastens the first pipe to the second pipe.
Abstract: Recock handle assemblies for bottom loading couplers and bottom loading couplers comprising the same are disclosed. The recock handle assemblies for bottom loading couplers may include a lever portion comprising a first lever arm, a second lever arm and a lever bar oriented in a substantially u-shaped configuration. A handle portion may be joined to the lever portion with a first pivot block and a second pivot block, the handle portion comprising a first connecting leg, a second connecting leg, and a bail. The first connecting leg and the second connecting leg may be positioned in a first plane and the bail is non-coplanar with the first plane. A first base plate may be pivotally coupled to the first pivot block. The first base plate may include a first body guide member and a first sleeve guide member. A second base plate may be pivotally coupled to the second pivot block, the second base plate comprising a second body guide member and a second sleeve guide member.
Abstract: A drain basin has a basin with walls and a cavity therein. The basin can have one or more sleeves coupled thereto. The sleeves are in communication with the cavity. The sleeves form pipe couplings to the basin. Each sleeve has a free end and a fixed end. The fixed end is coupled to the basin. The sleeve has an inside diameter that decreases toward the fixed end, which inside diameter is structured and arranged to receive the outside diameter of a small pipe. The sleeve also has an outside diameter that increases toward the fixed end, which outside diameter is structured and arranged to receive the inside diameter of a larger pipe. In addition, catches are provided to couple a corrugated pipe to the sleeve. The catches comprise fingers that flex or projections on ribs. Thus, the drain basin allows several diameters of several different pipes to be coupled to the drain basin.

Abstract: An open-ended coupler for joining a pipe to a larger opening defines a passageway having straight and angled sections. The straight section has a uniform inner diameter concentric about a centerline sized to receive the outer diameter of the pipe. The angled section has a narrow end with an inner diameter less than that of a wide end and of the straight section, and being at least as large as the inner diameter of the pipe. The angled section has an upper portion above the centerline that at least in part increases in radius from the narrow end to the wide end. A lower portion has a constant radius, at least along a line extending between the narrow and wide ends at a six o'clock position with respect to the open end of the angled section. A face groove holds an o-ring and an alignment tab fixes the rotational orientation of the coupler.
Abstract: In a connecting structure of a pipe of an air conditioning unit and a pipe joint for supporting the pipe, an insertion hole through which the pipe is inserted is formed within the pipe joint. The insertion hole has substantially a L-shaped cross-section and includes a first portion for receiving an end portion of the pipe and a second portion for receiving a flat portion of the pipe. The second portion is elliptical-shaped. In connecting the pipe to the pipe joint, the pipe is pressed into the insertion hole by a pressing punch. As a result, the pipe is bent and shaped along the elliptical shape of the second portion in the pipe joint, thereby forming the flat portion in the bend of the pipe. At the same time that the flat portion is formed, the pipe is clamped in the pipe joint.
Abstract: A split seal component including a seal face comprising two seal face segments rigidly mounted in two holder halves and methods of assembly and installation. The seal face segments may each have a nose that is held snugly by each holder half and is supported axially. Aligning pins received in aligning holes of the holder halves may be used to align the face segments. A fixture may be used to axially align the seal segments. A split o-ring and inner axial wall may be included that position the seal face concentrically with a shaft. Each holder half may have an integral band that clamps and also positions the face segments concentrically with the shaft. The walls of the holder halves may be stress-relieved proximate the junctions of the holder halves. A kit is provided for a rotary seal component with a rigidly mounted seal face.
Another seal component includes a seal face comprising two seal face segments resiliently mounted in two holder halves.
