Patent number: 11267322Abstract: A door rail surround assembly incorporating an anti-rotation feature added to a door rail clamp of the assembly. The anti-rotation feature is a net fit cross vehicle with a hole in the vehicle sport bar thereby eliminating any free movement of the door rail clamp assembly. A second clamp is rotatable for also receiving a fastener of the door rail clamp. A clamp load is applied to the vehicle when the fastener is inserted and torqued to its predetermined value. This clamping load prevents any free movement in the door rail clamp assembly when the door seal load is applied when the vehicle door is closed.Type: GrantFiled: March 12, 2020Date of Patent: March 8, 2022Assignee: Bestop, Inc.Inventors: Stephen J. Lewis, David A. Smith, Duane C. Junkin, Jonathon G. Moore

Patent number: 7527299Abstract: Attaching a fitting having a conduit in a port of a container. A sleeve forming a conduit has a flange adjacent one end and has a groove in an exterior wall. A gasket and a pressure plate is slidably positioned on the sleeve. A securing plate has threaded bolts therein and is slidably positioned on the sleeve to position one end of the bolts to engage the pressure plate. A securing element is positioned in the groove and disposed in the securing plate to prevent the securing plate from sliding off of the sleeve when the bolts are tightened against the pressure plate.Type: GrantFiled: December 5, 2006Date of Patent: May 5, 2009Inventor: William Shawn Collier

Publication number: 20090058079Abstract: A method for the production of an annular connection flange includes producing the annular connection flange from an element in the form of a circular ring. The element in the form of a circular ring has a substantially triangular profile. An annular flange includes a tubular portion configured to be mounted to an end of a tubular component, and a flange collar adjoining an end of the tubular portion and extending radially inwardly therefrom.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 11, 2008Publication date: March 5, 2009Inventor: Aloys Wobben

Patent number: 6371526Abstract: The invention relates to a quick cone (1) for pipe assemblies for conducting fiber suspensions wherein the quick cone provides a transition from a pipe (8) with a greater diameter to a pipe (9) with a smaller diameter as seen in the flow direction of the fiber suspension. The invention is characterized therein that the quick cone (1) has a pipe (2) wherein the pipe (2) has a major portion of its axial extension concentrically enclosed by a jacket (3) that includes a conical jacket portion (4) that is shaped as a cut cone and a cylindrical connection segment (5) where a thicker end of the conical jacket portion (4) is in engagement with the cylindrical connection segment (5) that has substantially the same diameter as the larger diameter pipe (8) and the pipe (2) has substantially the same diameter as the smaller diameter pipe (9) and wherein the more pointed end of the jacket portion (4) is tightly attached to the pipe (2).Type: GrantFiled: August 2, 2000Date of Patent: April 16, 2002Assignee: Kvaerner Pulping ABInventor: Rolf Ekholm

Patent number: 6283157Abstract: A sweat flange, piping system utilizing the same, and method of installing a circulator to a copper pipe. The sweat flange includes a base portion having a predetermined shape and at least two bolt openings dimensioned to accept at least two mounting bolts. A shoulder portion extends from the base portion and includes a substantially circular pipe opening that extends through the base portion and the shoulder portion. The pipe opening includes a first portion dimensioned to accept the pipe and a second portion of decreased diameter in order to limit the travel of the pipe through the opening. The sweat flange is attached to the pipe by inserting the pipe into the pipe opening of the flange and soldering the two together using art recognized soldering techniques. The piping system includes at least one pipe, a sweat, a pair of mounting bolts and a circulator or other pump.Type: GrantFiled: February 1, 2000Date of Patent: September 4, 2001Assignee: Becca Tools, Inc.Inventor: John W.
