An indicator such as a blue color may be used to indicate compatibility of the coupling with the conduit.Type: GrantFiled: October 2, 2003Date of Patent: April 4, 2006Assignee: Orbit Irrigation Products, Inc.Inventors: Kent C. Patent number: 6976710Abstract: A method and device for repair and replacement of pipe broken at a junction. The device includes a coupler having a female end and a male end. The female end of the coupler has an inside diameter that will accept snugly the removed end of the broken pipe. The male end has an outside diameter that will snuggly fit into a new junction. The method and device is normally used with PVC pipe. When PVC pipe entering a junction is broken near the junction, the junction may be removed by cutting back from the broken PVC pipe and cutting the remaining pipe where it enters the junction. A new junction can be replaced with the coupler inlapping the new junction and overlapping the pipe.Type: GrantFiled: January 21, 2003Date of Patent: December 20, 2005Inventor: William D. Bedford

Patent number: 6932390Abstract: A swivel fitting comprising a tubular entry member and a tubular exit member, the internal diameter of the tubular exit member being larger than the internal diameter of the tubular entry member, thus facilitating the transition of an inserted cable or cable or wire bundle from the tubular entry member to the tubular exit member even when the connector is configured at an angle of less than 180 degrees. Planar, relatively rotatable and mating flanges located at the exit end of the entry member and the input end of the exit member provide a common centerline and are joined by means of a threaded collar, thereby permitting configuration of the swivel fitting at angles between about 90 and 180 degrees.Type: GrantFiled: October 28, 2002Date of Patent: August 23, 2005Assignee: Arlington Industries, Inc.Inventor: Thomas J. Patent number: 6843244Abstract: A portable heater comprises a housing, a heating element, and a fuel supply. The fuel supply is preferably a liquid gas type wherein a valve assembly meters the gas to the heating element. A regulator is used to regulate flow of gas from the fuel source, and a connector assembly rotatably interconnects the regulator to the valve assembly. This rotatable connection allows the fuel source, typically in the form of a gas bottle, to be rotated away from the housing for easier removal and replacement of the gas bottle. Rotation of the regulator can be supported by use of a bracket which is attached to the regulator.Type: GrantFiled: July 3, 2002Date of Patent: January 18, 2005Assignee: Vermont Castings Majestic Products CompanyInventors: Steve McCalley, Sung Geun Lee, Sung Boo Yoon

Patent number: 6792937Abstract: A miniature patio heater is provided which has a total height of approximately 3 ft. and which has a shroud with a diameter less than 2 ft. The patio heater includes a base having a vertically extending chamber, which is approximately 1.5 ft. high, for receiving a small gas bottle. A hollow post extends upwardly from the upper end of the chamber. A heater assembly and shroud are supported at the upper end of the post. A gas line extends along the inside of the hollow post between the heater assembly and the chamber. A connector assembly provides a pivotal connection between the end of the gas line and a regulator connected to a gas bottle within the chamber. The chamber is provided with an access opening for inserting and removing the gas bottle. Thus, the gas bottle, with attached regulator, can be swung from a vertical upright position within the chamber outwardly through the access opening to an angular position to facilitate removal of an empty gas bottle and replacement with a full gas bottle.Type: GrantFiled: February 20, 2003Date of Patent: September 21, 2004Assignee: CFM-RMC International, a division of the Vermont Castings Majestic Products CompanyInventors: Michael Resmo, Sung Boo Yoon

Patent number: 6595554Abstract: A pipe elbow is provided having two parts, each part having an arcuate segment and a linking member for connecting to a run of standard pipe. The arcuate segment of the first part fits into the arcuate segment of the second part. By severing a portion of the arcuate segment of the first part at an angle needed for a specific run of pipe and inserting it into the arcuate segment of the second part, the assembled elbow will conform to the required angle. In addition, the arcuate segment of the first part has an inner aspect which is provided with an extended curved region which extends to the collar. The second part is provided with a lip which fits conformingly with the extended curved region of the first part in order to meet industry standards for minimum overlap of mating parts, even at very obtuse angles.Type: GrantFiled: January 24, 2001Date of Patent: July 22, 2003Inventor: Dennis S.
