Abstract: An adjustable length cable system that can be used in association with transmission of an axial pulling force. The cable system, which can be concealed within and/or behind a structure such as, for example, within an interior region of an entryway device, can accommodate adjustments in the axial lengths of a core wire and a conduit system of the cable system. The core wire can extend through, as well as beyond, the conduit system, and be connected to end fittings and/or connectors that can be used to transmit a pulling force to and/or from one or more components. In some embodiments, the conduit system can include an inner conduit telescopically coupled to an outer conduit such that the axial length of the conduit system is adjustable. Further, the relative axial positions of the inner and outer conduits may be retained by activation of a conduit locking device.

Abstract: A pen needle (101) for use with a drug delivery device (100) includes a hub body (113) having internal threads (216) to receive the drug delivery device (100). A post (121) is connected to the hub body (113). A needle (103) is rigidly fixed to the post (121). The post (121) is separable from the hub body (113) such that the needle (103) is removed with the post (121). The fluid path is not disturbed by such removal because the entire needle (103) is removed with the post (121). • Patent number: 9995419
Abstract: A coupling assembly for securing two conduits together includes a coupling sleeve, a compression nut, and a stop seal ring. The coupling sleeve includes an outwardly-protruding stop flange, and the stop seal ring fits over the coupling sleeve without sliding past the stop flange. The coupling sleeve enters an expanded end of a first conduit until the stop seal ring is squeezed by the stop flange and the conduit. The conduit sleeve is crimped with the first conduit, and the nut with a compression ring therein is screwed onto the conduit sleeve. A second conduit is inserted into the nut and the conduit sleeve, and tightening the nut compresses the compression ring to grip and secure the second conduit. With the stop seal ring squeezed between the stop flange and the first conduit, the coupling assembly protects against rain or other liquids from entering the conduits.

The inner wall (4) has a plurality of apertures (12) each aperture leading to a passage (14) through the inner wall. Each of the dogs (16) is slidably seated in one of the passages (14) for movement in a radial direction with respect to the tubular member (30). Around each passage (14) the inner wall (4) is spaced apart from an inner surface (25) of the outer wall (5).

Abstract: A tube coupling to receive and hold a tube (T) includes a coupling body (10) having a throughway with an annular step (24) facing an open end (12). An annular seal (25) is located in the coupling body adjacent to the annular step. An end cap (13) engages the coupling body and is axially moveable. A collett (17) in the cap has legs (20) with outer surfaces that engage with a tapered surface (23) in the end cap to urge the legs inwardly to grip the tube. The seal (25) is compressed axially in response to the forward movement of the end cap (13) to cause the tube end to be pressed into sealing engagement with the seal end. Abstract: Coupling holding means 50 comprising retainers 53 and retainer engaging portions 52 for holding a coupled state is provided between a socket S10 and a plug P10 of a coupler. Engaging pawl portions 54 are formed on the inner sides of a pair of retainers 53 provided on both sides of a nozzle portion 32. By causing the retainers 53 to move outwardly in a coupling operation, a gap between the retainers 53 and the nozzle portion 32 can be made small. By forming interference preventing portions 58 in the engaging pawl portions 54, the retainers 53 can be provided at a smaller interval than the outer diameter of the nozzle portion 32 whereby the coupler can be made even more compact. Further, by forming the retainers 53 higher than the foremost end portion of the nozzle portion 32, the nozzle portion 32 can be protected by the retainers 53 even in an unexpected event such as falling and damage will not extend directly to the nozzle portion 32.

Abstract: Quick connect fluid connectors are described that can be used to connect a first fluid system to a second fluid system for transferring fluids between the first and second fluid systems. The connectors include an eccentric mounted roller mechanism disposed within a slot in a main body and that is in continuous engagement with front and back walls of the slot. The eccentric mounted roller mechanism is used to actuate connection collets when the eccentric mounted roller mechanism is rotated. Since the eccentric mounted roller mechanism is in substantially continuous contact with the front and back walls, this ensures a smooth actuation of the main body and the connection collets without any lost motion.

Abstract: The pipe repair coupling includes a sleeve and two seal retainers that clip to the ends of the sleeve to retain corresponding seals therein. The repair coupling is installed about a damaged section of PVC or other hard plastic pipe without the need for substantial displacement of either portion of the broken pipe or the need to dress or otherwise modify the broken ends of the pipe. A seal retainer and a seal are placed over each portion of the broken pipe, and the sleeve is slipped over one of the broken pipe portions. The two pipe portions are aligned with one another, and the sleeve is generally centered over the break. The two seal retainers are then snapped into place on the ends of the sleeve, capturing the seals between the seal retainers and corresponding seats and distending the seals to bear against the broken pipe therein.
