    Abstract: A geared motor has an electric motor with an output shaft and a gear mechanism, the electric motor and the gear mechanism being adapted to one another such that a bearing plate of the electric motor can be fastened directly to an input shaft side of a housing of the gear mechanism. A coupling thread, which surrounds the output shaft for producing a threaded connection, is provided for fastening the bearing plate to the input shaft side. To that end, a securing section is provided which, in the fastened state, prevents a relative rotation of the housing of the gear mechanism with respect to the bearing plate in a release direction. The securing section is fastened to the bearing plate or to the gear mechanism housing by way of a fastening screw which is screwed into the bearing plate or the gear mechanism housing in a manner which is oriented in the tangential direction of the coupling thread.

    Abstract: A pre-assembled pipe coupling for joining and sealing two grooved-ended pipe segments without disassembling the coupling is disclosed. The coupling has a housing with upper and lower arcuate housing segments and left and right bridge segments. Each bridge segment has at least one set of dihedrally angled faces that engage corresponding faces each in the upper and lower housing segments. Drawing the upper and lower segments inwardly together along a first axis, presses each bridge segment inward along a second axis roughly tangential to the first axis. All segments are loosely pre-assembled with bolts and nuts into a coupling and all segments each have radially inwardly projecting lands that mate with end grooves in the pipes to be joined. The coupling also has a one-piece circular sealing gasket that has an inward circumferential and centrally positioned pipe stop that has an inner diameter smaller than an outer diameter of the pipes to be joined.

The spherical fluid connection end of the fuel rail is formed by plastic deformation. An improved method for facilitating pipe coupling comprises providing clamps fastenable together around ends of pipes, a gasket to be placed between the clamps and the pipe ends and providing at least one retainer to engage the screw to prevent it from being displaced through a screw hole prior to fastening the clamps around the pipe ends.

    Abstract: Engagement section 7a of holder 7 is engaged with a metal gasket 6, gasket 6 is received in tubular section 7b, and tubular section 7b is fitted in step 5a of connection pipe 1a. Subsequently, while a trapezoidal section having slopes 3a, 3b which define both sides is inserted into groove 14, segments 10a-10c are closed to form a ring shape. Bolt 11 which penetrates through cutout 12 of segment 10a is screwed into threaded hole 13 of segment 10c. The screwing of the bolt causes the amount of insertion of the trapezoidal section, which has slopes 3a, 3b which define both sides, into groove 14 to be increased. As a result, the distance between flanges 2a, 2b is reduced and the contact pressure of projections 4a, 4b against both sides of gasket 6 is increased.

The port member includes a flange extending radially from the port member clamping portion having a predetermined shape corresponding to that of the clamp member channel.     Abstract: A vortex gasket for automotive exhaust system, preferably used with a special flange having a conical seal surface, is formed by spirally overlaying a metal hoop (2) of flat strip, and an inorganic filler (3) of tape form, and annularly spot welding a winding start portion (2a) and a winding end portion (2b) of the hoop (2) to itself. The tape form of the inorganic filler is wider than the flat strip of the metal hoop so that edges of the inorganic filler form seal contact surfaces spaced beyond edges of the metal hoop. When an external force is applied in the axial direction, slipping occurs between the hoop (2) and the filler (3), and the gasket is telescopically deformed in the axial direction, so that the seal contact surfaces 1a, 1b, at sides of the gasket, are formed in a conical shape.

A downwardly facing shoulder of the clamp engages the upwardly facing shoulder of an end hub on one of the tubular members. The segmented latch ring includes a plurality of latch segments having a T-slot for receiving actuator screws which, when rotated, cause the latch ring segments to move radially inward to engage a downwardly facing shoulder on an end hub of the other tubular member.
