  • Patent number: 11174710
Abstract: A technique facilitates joining of components without subsequent heat treatments. The components are joined by using a friction stir process which establishes a desired friction stir region at an appropriate location to securely join the desired components. In well applications, various components of sand screen assemblies may be joined by the friction stir process. For example, metal sand screen components may be securely coupled with a corresponding metal base pipe. The joining technique enables retention of the corrosion resistant properties of the materials without applying post weld heat treatments and/or other subsequent treatments.

The enclosures prevent direct contact between the joint and the surrounding water, for example fresh or salt water, and prevent biofouling and corrosion of the joint. An enclosure encapsulates the joint and forms an enclosed space around the joint. Some or all of the enclosure includes a flexible material. The enclosed space is filled with a protective liquid that is retained in the enclosed space and that will be in direct contact with the joint. Abstract: A protector which prevents damage to a solid lubricating coating on a threaded portion of a threaded joint when the protector is mounted on a pin or a box of a threaded joint for pipes in which at least one of the pin or the box is lubricated with a solid lubricating coating comprises a tubular member having a threaded portion on its inner or outer peripheral surface which threadingly engages with at least a portion and preferably 3-5 complete threads of the threaded portion provided on the pin or the box to be protected. The thread height H1 of the threaded portion of the protector and the thread height H2 of the complete thread of the pin or the box on which the protector is mounted satisfy H1>H2, and the difference between H1 and H2 [=H1?H2] is larger than the maximum coating thickness at the thread crest of the solid lubricating coating which covers the threaded portion of the pin or the box.

Abstract: For a hydraulic system of a work vehicle, a fixed connector part fixedly arranged thereon. A fixed connector part has a plurality of hydraulic couplings. A hydraulic work system of a work equipment has hydraulic couplings which are either a movable part having a plurality of hydraulic couplings or a plurality of individual hydraulic connections, each having a hydraulic coupling. The movable connector part is connectable to the fixed connector part by a locking device. The hydraulic couplings of the fixed connector part are constructed to be hydraulically coupled to the hydraulic couplings of the movable connector part and alternatively to the hydraulic couplings of the plurality of individual hydraulic couplings.

Abstract: A cap for a quick connect fitting assembly is a unitary component having a terminal portion and a body portion extending from the terminal portion to define an inner cavity. The body portion defines a first opening opposite the terminal portion and a second opening extending from the first opening toward the terminal portion. The terminal portion has a first locating feature and the body portion has a second locating feature. The first locating feature and the second locating feature are spaced relative to one another such that the unitary component will connect to the quick connect fitting assembly with both of the locating features contacting predetermined locations of the quick connect fitting assembly only if a male fitting is inserted into a female fitting to a predetermined position, the unitary component thus ensuring proper connection of the quick connect fitting assembly. A method of assembly using the cap is also provided.
