  • Patent number: 8205312
Abstract: Apparatus for precision deploy-attaching beam-mount structure to the outside of an elongate column at plural, defined attachment sites that are distributed and spaced along the length of the column. During use, a column support jig with plural openable/closeable yokes in the apparatus supports a column horizontally for selective rotation about its long axis. A carriage in the apparatus, which holds beam-mount structures to be attached to a supported column, is selectively moveable and position-lockable in defined locations distributed along the supported column between yokes in a pair of spaced yokes to enable precision weld-attaching of the mounts to sides of the column.

  • Patent number: 8206053
Abstract: A device can be assembled by a coupling. The device includes first and second body members and positioning structure. The first and second body members are designed to be coupled relative to each other. The positioning structure is designed to provide an interface between the first and second body members, and to position the first and second body members relative to each other via first, second, and third contact areas. The first, second, and third contact areas are each substantially linear and are collectively configured to receive loads, and to limit positioning of the first and second body members relative to each other with regard to five degrees of freedom. A fourth contact area between the first and second body members is designed to limit positioning of the first and second body members relative to each other in a sixth degree of freedom, in a first translational direction.

Abstract: A portable cutting mat for improving safety when using a power circular saw for cutting wood sheeting. The mat has a top surface, bottom surface, top edge, bottom edge, left edge, and right edge. The mat also contains holes through the top and bottom surfaces in a predetermined grid pattern. Disposed and secured within the mat holes are replaceable support pegs of a predetermined height. A wood sheet is to be laid on top of replaceable support pegs so that the top, bottom, left, and right edges along with row markings are visible around the perimeter of the wood sheet. The row markings are contrasting colors of alternate rows of the replaceable support pegs and/or alternate row markings directly printed on the mat to differentiate between rows of the replaceable support pegs. Cutting channels are the open areas between the rows of the replaceable support pegs, and the top surface of mat.
