  • Patent number: 8006374
Abstract: A paperclip fastening apparatus includes paperclips each having a first half loop, a second half loop and an inner half loop. A support has an upper surface, a front end and a rear end. A track is positioned in the upper surface. A driving plate is positioned on the upper surface and is slidably movable toward and away from the front end. A housing, containing the paperclips, is attached to the support and the driving plate is slidable through the housing and engages a lowermost one of the paperclips positioned in the housing. The driving plate engages the paperclips and pushes them outwardly of the housing toward the front end while a flange on the house engages the first half loop to lift the first half loop to allow one or more sheets of paper to be placed between the first half loop and the inner half loop.

  • Patent number: 7521779
Abstract: A multi-layer structure including a base insulating layer and a thin metal film layer (seed layer) is prepared. A plating resist layer is formed to have a prescribed pattern on the upper surface of the thin metal film layer. A metal plating layer is formed on the thin metal film layer exposed by electroplating. Then, the plating resist layer is removed, and the thin metal film layer in the region having the plating resist layer is removed. In this way, a conductive pattern including the thin metal film layer and the metal plating layer is formed. The upper surface of the base insulating layer in the region without the conductive pattern is subjected to roughening treatment. A cover insulating layer is formed on the upper surfaces of the base insulating layer and the conductive pattern. In this way, a printed circuit board is completed.

  • Patent number: 5619789
Abstract: A spring clip in the form of a generally U-shaped clamp, the clamp comprising a pair of holding members for resiliently gripping sheets of paper or the like inserted therebetween. The holding members having forward or leading ends extending outwardly, folded back over themselves with J-shaped hook cross-section, and formed as outer lips portions of clamping jaws with the openings of the J-shaped hooks facing the rear ends of the holding members. The openings of the J-shaped hooks provide access to which leading guides of special opening applicator are engaged to open the normally closed clamping jaws. In contrast to the conventional spring clips of the similar type, the clip disclosed herein has no levers or widthwise, ear-like side projections for opening the clip is thus advantageous over the prior art devices because of its simplicity and ease in use.

  • Patent number: 5400501
Abstract: A non-piercing fastening device employing generally "V"-shaped clips is disclosed. The device contains a magazine channel into which one leg of each clip may be fitted and thereby snapped into place. The channel and its associated vertical walls additionally cause the vertices of the clips to act as a stop for papers or other objects to be fastened, enhancing the uniformity of the edges of the fastened papers. A rotating cam whose surface contacts substantially the entire length of the free leg of each clip is included to provide more constant pressure along and even crimping of the clip legs. The notched cam surface reduces the possibility of concurrently crimping multiple clips, and the cam can be adjusted automatically relative to the magazine's forwardmost clip to accommodate materials of varying thicknesses.

  • Patent number: 4708261
Abstract: A clip dispenser for dispensing resilient, generally U-shaped plastic clips. The clips are useful in holding closed the folded over ends of a paperboard container for a foodstuff, such as a portable liquid. The dispenser is in the general form of a vertically disposed rack having a horizontal lower portion, the horizontal lower portion being twisted at about 35.degree. with respect to the horizontal. In use, a foodstuff container having a folded over and generally top portion is inserted upwardly into the endmost part of the horizontal portion to receive a clip. The container is then withdrawn, the clip pushed down upon the horizontal portions of the container, thereby concealing the container. The dispenser includes a reciprocating blocking gate for use when the rack is loaded with a new supply of clips. The end of the horizontal portion carries a recess through which the clips are dispensed, the recessed provided with a plurality of spring-urged detents which serve to maintain the clips in place.
