Publication number: 20110113623Abstract: The system includes a collar feed assembly which includes a channel within a step assembly at the end thereof, which defines a receiving cavity for the collar. The receiving cavity is configured so that the collar can move slightly therein, permitting a die portion of a die tool to engage a center opening of the collar, so that the collar can come into accurate alignment with the center axis of the die tool. The die tool is mounted to be movable slightly transversely to permit a reliable transfer of the collar onto the bolt. The collar is more compliant than the die tool during loading of the collar onto the die pin and the die tool is more compliant than the collar during transfer of the collar from the die pin onto the bolt.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 20, 2011Publication date: May 19, 2011Applicant: Electroimpact, Inc.Inventor: Scott C. Patent number: 7913380Abstract: A wafer table for providing electrical components of a wafer includes a rotary disk to receive a wafer. The rotary disk is configured to be displaced parallel to a wafer plane in discrete steps such that the components arrive at a stationary pick-up position. A stationary auxiliary facility is assigned to the pick-up position, and a first rotary drive rotates the rotary disk. A carriage supports the rotary disk and is displaced in a stationary linear guide parallel to the wafer by means of a linear drive. The first rotary drive and the linear drive are positioned such that each of the components arrives at the pick-up position.Type: GrantFiled: January 5, 2006Date of Patent: March 29, 2011Assignee: ASM Assembly Systems GmbH & Co. Patent number: 7849579Abstract: Fastener delivery apparatus for automatically selecting and delivering fasteners such as rivets to a setting tool. The fasteners are pre-loaded in a package and dispense via at least one fastener delivery tube that interconnects the setting tool to a fastener feeder device. The fastener feeder device releases selected fasteners from the package into the delivery tube. The fasteners are transportable individually or in groups in the tube from the feeder device to the tool.Type: GrantFiled: January 20, 2009Date of Patent: December 14, 2010Assignee: Henrob LimitedInventors: Rupert Andrew Craythorn, Ralph Fuhrmeister, Shane Peter Matthews, Wojciech Gostylla, Stuart Edmund Blacket, Nicholas Richard Clew, Michael Butler

Patent number: 7774926Abstract: A bearing assembling apparatus is capable of assembling a bearing at a high speed and preventing an excessive unbalanced load from being applied to an outer ring and an inserting means at a time of inserting a rolling element. The bearing assembling apparatus has a compact size, with an inserting means arranged within an outer ring, and a feeding means guiding a needle to the inserting means. The feeding means is provided with two guide paths which can hold needles in line. The inserting means includes a receiving portion receiving the needles, guide grooves directed toward an installation space in the outer ring, and a cam member having two cam surfaces. The cam surfaces press the needles in the receiving portion toward the installation space. The guide grooves and the cam surfaces are provided at positions such that the last two needles can be simultaneously inserted into the installation space.Type: GrantFiled: January 5, 2006Date of Patent: August 17, 2010Assignee: Tanaka Seimitsu Kogyo Co., Ltd.Inventor: Yuji Takiwaki

Patent number: 7735218Abstract: A rivet delivery apparatus and method which is configured to drop a rivet into a position such that the rivet can be threaded onto a guide wire and shot along the guide wire, such as to a rivet tool for broaching. Preferably, the rivet delivery apparatus includes a means to clamp the guide wire at two positions—a first position before a rivet is threaded onto the guide wire, and a second position after the rivet has been threaded onto the guide wire. Specifically, preferably the guide wire is clamped in a first position, and the rivet delivery apparatus includes a plate which shifts, causing a single rivet to fall in place for threading onto the guide wire. Then, the guide wire is unclamped, moved to the second position such that the rivet threads onto the guide wire, and the guide wire is clamped. Then, the rivet is shot along the guide wire, the guide wire is unclamped, moved to the first position, and clamped again so that a new rivet can be received and threaded onto the guide wire.Type: GrantFiled: March 7, 2006Date of Patent: June 15, 2010Assignee: Acument Intellectual Properties, LLCInventor: Wim Bouman

Patent number: 7721420Abstract: Provided is an assembler for assembling a carrier for supporting printhead integrated circuits. The carrier has upper and lower parts that are operatively fastened together. The assembler includes a support structure configured to support the lower part in a pre-fastened position, and a holding mechanism arranged on the support structure for holding the upper part in a pre-fastened position. The assembler also includes a displacement mechanism arranged on the support structure for displacing the holding mechanisms to bring the parts into operative registration with each other, and a fastening apparatus for fastening the parts together.Type: GrantFiled: August 19, 2008Date of Patent: May 25, 2010Assignee: Silverbrook Research Pty LtdInventors: Stephen Richard O'Farrell, Jan Waszczuk, David Bernardi, Toby Desmond Oste, Mark Janos, William Granger

Patent number: 7669317Abstract: In a chip reversing method for holding and vertically reversing a chip placed by a bonding nozzle, the chip is held on a chip holding unit disposed in a reversing member and is vertically reversed by turning the reversing member downward on an reversal shaft. After the reversed chip was received by a chip receiving unit, this chip receiving unit is lowered to a retracted position to return the reversing member to an original position. In this state, the chip receiving unit is raised to position the chip at a height level L for a chip transferring action. As a result, the reversing member does not protrude to above the height level for the chip transfer thereby to interfere with another mechanism, so that the chip mounting actions can be made efficient.Type: GrantFiled: August 14, 2006Date of Patent: March 2, 2010Assignee: Panasonic CorporationInventors: Yoichi Makino, Akira Kabeshita
