  • Patent number: 6959949
Abstract: A driven part can be pivotably mounted to the door frame so that, in a starting position, it engages a driving part fixed to the leaf frame in order to fix the position of the door leaf with respect to the door frame. An electromagnetic brake generates a moment to retain the driven part in the starting position when electrical current is supplied, and allows the driven part to pivot from the starting position when electrical current is not supplied. The driven part is held in the starting position when the driven part returns to the starting position and no moment is generated by the electromagnetic brake.

  • Patent number: 6919797
Abstract: A remote-controlled lock includes a bottom base, a transmission motor, a connecting rod, a sleeve, a deadbolt, a spring and a casing. The transmission motor is started to rotate clockwise together with the stop member on its shaft by pressing the unlocking button of a remote controller, letting the stop member disengaged from the stopper of the sleeve. Thus, the sleeve and the deadbolt can be moved inward to unlock the remote-controlled lock. On the contrary, pressing the locking button of the remote controller starts the transmission motor to rotate counterclockwise together with the stop member to let the stop member block the stopper of the sleeve. Thus, the sleeve is restricted in position, unable to be moved inward, and the engage member of the deadbolt is engaged in the engage groove of the engage base of a doorjamb to lock the remote-controlled lock.

Abstract: An electric door lock includes a lock housing, an operating member, a gear wheel, an actuating member, a driving motor, and a coupling unit. The operating member is mounted rotatably on the lock housing. The gear wheel is sleeved rotatably on the operating member. The actuating member is secured on the operating member so as to be co-rotatable therewith. The driving motor drives rotation of the gear wheel. The coupling unit interconnects the gear wheel and the actuating member such that the actuating member and the operating member rotate with the gear wheel when the driving motor drives rotation of the gear wheel, and disconnects the actuating member from the gear wheel when a rotating force is applied directly to rotate the operating member such that rotation of the actuating member with the operating member does not result in corresponding rotation of the gear wheel.

Abstract: In an electric door lock, a spindle with a manually operable rotary knob is connected operably to a deadbolt, and has a spindle coupling ring sleeved co-rotatably thereon, and a rotary seat sleeved rotatably thereon. The rotary seat has a clutch portion surrounded by a stationary seat and provided with angularly displaced resilient locking units that normally engage the stationary seat, and is disengaged from the stationary seat to permit operation of the rotary knob to rotate the spindle. An electric driving motor has a transmission shaft coupled to the rotary seat. The locking units are disengaged from the stationary seat and engage the spindle coupling ring when the motor is operated to rotate the rotary seat, thereby resulting in co-rotation of the spindle. The locking units include ball members which move rollingly out of locking grooves in the stationary seat when the rotary seat is rotated.
