Discrete Pivotable Or Rotatable Actuator Patents (Class 292/169.17)
  • Patent number: 11181231
Abstract: An actuator (3) for a safety switch (2) with an actuator head (8), said actuator head being mounted to a core body (6) by means of a connection element (7). The actuator head (8) has, at least in parts, a larger cross section than the connection element (7). The connection element (7) is rigid in the axial direction. The actuator head (8) is held in a base position by means of the connecting element (7). In this base position, the longitudinal axis of the connection element (7) runs at an angle of inclination to the surface of the core body (6).

  • Patent number: 9206621
Abstract: A tractor cab has an access door with an associated door latch to hold the door in a shut position and an openable panel such as a window which is secured in a closed position by a window latch mechanism which acts between the window and cab. The window latch mechanism includes resilient means which, when the window is secured in its closed position, allows the window to move outwardly relative to the cab when the door is slammed shut thus ensuring that the door latch can be engaged.

  • Patent number: 8870243
Abstract: A latch assembly (8) for securing and releasing a horse trailer divider (100), the latch assembly (8) having a mechanically leveraged handle (10) coupled to a latchbolt (13), the handle (10) and the latchbolt (13) having a latched position and an unlatched position. In one embodiment, the latch assembly (8) may be incorporated into a divider (100) having a first end (107A) hinged to a first wall (130) of the trailer and a second end (107B) releasably securable to a second wall (122). The latch assembly (8) may comprise a handle (10) operatively coupled to an axle (14) for being extended to its latched position and retracted to its unlatched position by operation of the handle (10). The handle may comprise an angled portion (10A) to improve access to the fingers of the user's hand.

  • Patent number: 8523249
Abstract: A latch assembly comprises a first portion (32) defining an opening and a second portion (54) slidably disposed in the opening for movement of the first portion along the second portion. The second portion includes a stop which is larger than the opening for preventing further movement of the first portion along the second portion in a first direction. A securing element releasably connects the first portion and the second portion in a first relative axially connected position. In a mortise lock (20), the first portion and the second portion are thus movable together relative to the housing so that the first portion at least partially non-rotatably projects outwardly from the opening in the edge wall of the housing in an extended position and is inside the housing in a retracted position. Disconnecting the first portion from the second portion allows the first portion to move along the second portion in the first direction to a second axial position.

  • Patent number: 7155946
Abstract: A mortise lock having a double locking function is provided, which includes: a deadbolt for performing a locking function of a door by going in and out the door; a latchbolt going in and out the door by a handle installed on the door; and a locking member for maintaining the latchbolt in a locked state by keeping the latchbolt projected when the deadbolt is projected, whereby it is possible to improve the security, and reducing breakage and malfunction of the deadbolt due to forced operations of the door, since the door employing the mortise lock cannot be forcedly opened without breaking the latchbolt as well as the deadbolt.

  • Patent number: 7155945
Abstract: A lock including a frame, a handle operated latch bolt, a handle shaft, a latch bolt actuating mechanism and a mechanism for locking the handle shaft. The latch bolt locking mechanism includes a locking lever which is fixed with respect to the handle shaft and arranged to cooperate with a stop element on the frame. The latch bolt locking mechanism further includes an electromagnet which moves the locking lever with respect to the handle shaft or the stop element with respect to the frame so that the locking lever can be unlocked and locked behind the stop element. The locking device, which is either formed by the locking lever or by the stop element, is movable by the electromagnet in a direction forming an angle greater than about 45°, preferably greater than about 65°, with a flat plane extending at right angles to the longitudinal axis of the handle shaft. A more reliable locking and unlocking of the handle shaft can be produced.

  • Patent number: 6735993
Abstract: A lock mechanism for use with lever handles includes a lock core and a latch mechanism that is rigidly connected to the lock core to prevent the lock core from rotating in the door. Through-bolts are not needed, allowing a small diameter rose to be used. Stops and a spring return mechanism are entirely located within the lock core, allowing the rose to be thin. The lock core defines the rest position for the lever handles at an angle slightly above horizontal. To avoid the necessity for producing different locks in left and right-hand configurations, the lock core is made substantially symmetrical about a vertical plane, instead of a horizontal plane, and the inner and outer sides of the lock mechanism can be interchanged. A heavy-duty locking piece, including a pair of locking lugs that directly engage the lock core near its inner perimeter, allow the lock to withstand abusive forces applied through the lever handle.

  • Patent number: 6393878
Abstract: A mortise lock is provided including a housing for a latch bolt and a deadbolt which are mounted in the housing for movement between a retracted position where the latch bolt and deadbolt are inside the housing and an extended position where a portion of the latch bolt and deadbolt extend from the housing. A key-operated cylinder in the housing operates to move the deadbolt between the retracted and extended positions. A latch operator is also provided for retracting both the latch bolt and the deadbolt. A moveable blocking element in the housing prevents movement of the latch operator in one position of the blocking element. A locking lever operatively connects the deadbolt and the blocking element so that when the deadbolt is extended the blocking element is automatically moved to the position blocking the latch operator. The locking lever comprises an arm member integral with the locking lever.
