    Abstract: A dual handled latch device or spindle-free and cylinder-free lockset is provided for opening and closing a door from either side of the door. The latch device comprises an angled lever located on each side of the door, one end of each lever acting as a manipulatable handle and the other end lying under and perpendicular to a latch arm located on the surface of one side of the door. When the handle end of either lever is pulled, the lever pivots about a fulcrum point at the lever angle, lifting and releasing the latch arm so the door can be opened. In a preferred embodiment, the latch lifting ends of the two levers are mutually opposing with one latch lifting leg end is superposed on the other. The latch arm also can be locked in its latched, closed position.

    Abstract: A door lock mechanism for an overhead door employs a sliding pin or rod that passes into the path of the rollers in the track, and obstructs the roller from movement in the direction to open the door. A spring in the door lock frame biases the sliding pin towards a proximal open position. The sliding pin has a swing arm that extends radially from the pin's proximal end, and which engages retaining structure at the proximal end of the door lock frame. In the lock position the distal end of the sliding pin blocks movement of wheels or rollers in the vertical track. The arm is rotated out of engagement with the retaining structure to release the pin so it may slide proximally to an unlocked position. A microswitch in the interior of the lock switches on when the sliding pin is moved to the locked position and turns off when the pin is returned to its unlocked position. A sleeve disposed over the proximal part of the spring engages the actuator of the microswitch.

    Abstract: A door lock with integrated door position sensor includes rectangular magnets positioned behind the door strike to maximize magnetic field strength in available space limited by industry-standard dimensions for the door strike. A beveled or stepped mounting opening for the sensor is formed in a front plate of the door lock and behind a non-magnetic faceplate. The shape of the mounting opening allows the magnetic field to penetrate deeply through the faceplate and front plate to actuate the door position sensor.
