  • Patent number: 11592875
Abstract: A plastic arrangement that includes a first plastic component, a second plastic component, and a plastic lock mechanism for fastening the second plastic component to the first plastic component. The plastic lock mechanism includes a first lock unit and a second lock unit. The first lock unit includes a U-shaped cantilever member, a catch element and a catch element retention part. The second lock unit includes a protruding member and a protruding member retention part. The plastic lock mechanism provides a locked position wherein the catch element retention part restricts movement of the catch element for preventing the second plastic component from separating from the first plastic component, and the protruding member retention part restricts movement of the protruding member for hindering the moving of the first lock unit to a released position.

  • Publication number: 20150022070
Abstract: A self-contained latch module in combination with a pusher and catch (collectively “latch assembly”) allows for the locking of two doors with a single lock. The latch module contains two spring-loaded bolts, one active and one passive. Pushing the active bolt into the latch housing, the passive bolt extends out of the opposite side of the latch housing. Pushing onto the passive bolt in the direction of the latch housing while the active bolt is depressed will allow the passive bolt to retract into the housing without affecting the active bolt on the opposite side. This allows a user to slam closed the associated doors in any order. The self-latching nature of this latch assembly allows for the automatic latching of the cabinet doors without having to manually latch one of the doors before locking the other.

  • Patent number: 4228428
Abstract: The cover of a ceiling mounted smoke detector is hung at one side by a chain from the detector frame. At the other side the cover has a clip which engages the smoke detector battery. Thus if the battery is not in place the cover hangs down from the chain providing a signal indicative of the absence of the battery. A flag is provided which is pivotally mounted inside the cover and movable on the pivot through an opening in the bottom of the cover. A magnet attached to the flag magnetically engages the diaphragm of the horn alarm in the smoke detector and maintains the flag at a raised position within the cover. When the horn alarm is sounded, the vibration of the diaphragm causes disengagement of the magnet whereupon the flag pivots downwardly to a position at which it extends below the cover. This provides a visual indication that the horn alarm has been sounded.

  • Patent number: 4056275
Abstract: The assembly includes a strike component comprising a headed screw and a catch component comprising a base member with a protruding catch member for engaging the head of the screw. The fastener compensates for misalignment by longitudinal motion of the catch component along an elongated screw receiving slot and by screwing the strike component in or out thereby positioning the head. The base member is mounted on an integral flange thereby spacing the slot from the mounting surface so the perimeter of the slot can be deformed when a mounting screw passes through. The perimeter of the slot thereby provides a biasing force resisting longitudinal motion of the base member.
