Cam And Lever Patents (Class 292/34)
  • Patent number: 11873664
Abstract: The unlocking mechanism of the present invention is actuated as a result of contact with the door's existing lever. When an occupant rotates the door's lever, it not only retracts the door's latch, but the handle will also engage the unlocking mechanism of the present invention, the door lever engaging the unlocking mechanism. The door's lever follows the geometry of the cam thereby pushing the sliding bar of the unlocking mechanism thereby engaging a latch release. The latch release moves the locked lever of the door's deadbolt assembly and the deadbolt is retracted. When the door's lever is returned to its normal state, a spring pushes the sliding bar backward to the ready position. The latch release rotates to its ready position and the mechanism is ready for a subsequent activation.

  • Patent number: 11730296
Abstract: Locking device is disclosed for parcel boxes or lockers. The device comprises a user operable handle and a lock mechanism comprising a motor to rotate a pinion to move a rack attached to a handle-blocker and to a deadbolt. The handle-blocker controls transition of the user operable handle between open and closed positions due to movement of the rack, and simultaneously the deadbolt is configured to move between locking and unlocking positions. In the closed position, the handle-blocker and the handle-body have a linear connection with each other and in open position this connection is lost. The handle may be activated by tapping the handle-cover, or by using an RFID, NFC or by mobile technologies. A method to operate opening and closing a parcel box locked with the locking device allows one or more users to access the parcel box via software application paired with the device.

Abstract: A lockset including a bolt mechanism, an exterior assembly, an interior assembly, a driving tailpiece, and a driven tailpiece. The bolt assembly includes a bolt having an extended position and a retracted position. The exterior assembly includes a rotatable exterior manual actuator. The interior assembly includes a clutch having a coupling state and a decoupling state. The driving tailpiece is connected between the exterior manual actuator and the clutch. The driven tailpiece is connected between the clutch and the bolt mechanism such that rotation of the driven tailpiece actuates the bolt assembly. In the coupling state, the clutch couples the driving tailpiece with the driven tailpiece such that the exterior manual actuator is operable to actuate the bolt assembly. In the decoupling state, the clutch decouples the driving tailpiece from the driven tailpiece such that the exterior manual actuator is inoperable to actuate the bolt assembly.

  • Patent number: 8161780
Abstract: A thumb operated door latch and lock assembly has an exterior grip and thumb lever, a motion converter, a key cylinder, a strengthening plate and an interior latch lever and locking knob. The thumb lever moves the converter which turns a latch tongue that extends through a receiver in the latch assembly. The interior lever turns a limited engagement interior hub collar. A figure eight opening in the collar turns the latch tongue to withdraw the latches. Turning the interior lever upward disables the thumb lever. Turning the lever to withdraw the latches moves a slide upward within guide plates. The slide turns an interior lever and an extended tongue on the key cylinder to withdraw the dead bolt simultaneously with the latches.

  • Patent number: 7856857
Abstract: A door lock of key-driven transmission structure which is comprised of a case, a swing arm, a first link bar and a second link bar, whereof the first and second link bars and a lock-bolt structure on the case can be driven by the swing arm to open or close lock. A first transmission piece is driven when the lock-bolt structure is actuated, and an actuator is driven by the first transmission piece to further drive the two top and bottom pull rods which further drive the two top and bottom lock-bolts to extend outward for locking, thereby to reach a combining action between the lock-bolt structure as well as the top and bottom lock-bolts. The lock-bolt structure is further through linking with a labor saving component installed on the second link bar to achieve the labor saving and easy operation effects.

  • Patent number: 7695028
Abstract: A lock apparatus includes a operation handle, a pair of springs movably supported by the container member, a pair of slide pins urged in directions of lock holes defined on the support member by the springs, respectively, and a pair of cam members to which rear end portions of the slide pins are fitted, respectively, to urge each slide pin to project and retract. When the operation handle is operated in a swing manner, a front end portion of each slide pin is retracted from each lock hole of the support member against pressure of each spring. Engagement holes are defined on opposed surfaces of each front end portion of the cam member having a cylindrical shape. Each rear end portion of the slide pin is formed in a bifurcated structure to have elastic pieces. Each of elastic pieces has a protrusion for detachably engaging with each of engagement holes.
