  • Patent number: 11352813
Abstract: An adapter and interface permits a standard mortise lock to drive top and bottom latch mechanisms of a multi-point lock system. An actuator permits in situ adjustment of the top and bottom vertical latch projections of adjusting these projections while the door is hung in the door frame. An installation tool assists in the installation of the vertical rods in a door. A connector and carrier secures the vertical rods to the actuator and permits verification of retention of the rods in a multi-point latching system. A latch dogging indicator allows for end-user adjustment between a single-point lock and a multi-point lock system when desired. These different aspects may be employed in combination or separately with other locking systems.

  • Patent number: 10294702
Abstract: Skiles Locking System enables automatic actuation of multiple deadbolt type locks instantly through use of remote wireless activator, key, or lock button. (inside of dwelling) This is accomplished through a mechanized assembly completely contained inside door. Attached to door knob shaft located in the center of the door, a rotating disc and wire assembly retracts internal spring loaded deadbolts from bolt sleeves in door frame allowing ingress or egress. When the door shuts, beveled internal spring-loaded bolts move back into door frame, allowing locking of door with multiple deadbolt type locks with remote wireless activator, key, or lock button (inside). No manual sliding of deadbolts needed. The system also incorporates brass “weak-link” locking pins, which attach steel connecting wires to rotating disc. These “weak-links” break upon abnormal pressure when door knob mechanism is compromised by force, permanently locking door in place. The system allows for keyed or electronic keyless entry.

  • Patent number: 8333412
Abstract: A locker has a latch bar attached to the inside surface of door by projections that extend through respective slots in the bar. The slots are configured to permit the bar to move parallel to the door between an extended position and a retracted position, the extended position being horizontally offset from the retracted position. An actuator plate is positioned between the inside surface of the door and the latch bar and is connected to a handle on the outside surface of the door. The at least one pair of spaced rollers is provided on the actuator plate. A diagonal rib is attached to the latch bar for each pair of rollers. Each diagonal rib is positioned between a respective pair of spaced apart rollers, such that when the handle and actuator plate are moved vertically, each pair of rollers will move along the diagonal rib positioned between that pair of rollers causing the latch bar to move horizontally.

  • Patent number: 7997630
Abstract: A locking system is mounted to a door with three rods extending therefrom. The rods have a locked position extending beyond the periphery of the door and an unlocked position not extending beyond the periphery of the door. Three rod receivers are adapted to receive the three rods in the locked position. A handle rotatably engages cam plates which are operatively engaged with the rods whereby rotation of the handle rotates the cam which moves the rod ends from one position to the other. A locking tab extends forwardly from the lower cam plate into a recess and is engaged by a circular lock while the recess prevents movement of the engaged circular lock. A second locking tab extends forwardly from the rod-locking link and a stationary locking tab is aligned thereto. Both locking tabs are engaged by a padlock preventing movement of the rod-locking link.
