Abstract: Foldable vehicle cover (armed/unarmed) covers vehicle's front, mid-section, and rear, longitudinally, laterally and vertically. Longitudinal staves in separate cover segments permit lateral collapse of cover with draw cords in lateral cover channels (one cord-end attached at closed channel end and the cord extending outboard from open channel end). The unarmed cover has four operating modes: covered, uncovered, laterally compressed and folded (front and rear segments folded atop mid-sectional segment). An alarmed cover includes either pouches on inboard side of vertical cover portions or module attachment systems on the inboard side. Proximity alarm module is pouch mounted or attached and is removably coupled to vehicle vertical element via an electromagnetic/mechanical attachment sub-system. A proximity sensor generates ALARM sensor not proximate vehicle element. A transmitter generates RF ALARM and a software App on user's causes ALARM annunciation.

Abstract: Systems and methods related to stop signs with traffic control features are provided. One or more assemblies, each with stop signs and traffic signaling devices which signal vehicles to proceed or wait are provided, preferably at a side of a roadway of an intersection. Arrival times for one or more vehicles are determined. A signal indicating permission to proceed is sent from a command center to the assembly associated with the earliest of the arrival times with permission to set the traffic signaling device of the assembly to proceed.

Abstract: A remote access locking system and transportable secure containers are provided with a wireless key fob and optional tamper alarm, location transponder and reversible coupling to secure the container to a vehicle element or to a mounting plate that is fixed to the vehicle. The wireless fob sends wireless command signals to a controller that authenticates the signal and locks or unlocks the container door. The controller may also have a sound generator configured to produce a characteristic chirp when the lock is locked or unlocked by the controller that is different from the vehicle door chirp. The wireless fob for the container may stand alone or have a coupling joining the container fob with a conventional wireless entry fob for a vehicle. The system may also use secondary security measures such as RFID tags for two step authentication.

The vehicle comprises a vehicle body and a retractable device, wherein a cavity is arranged at the top of the cab of the vehicle body, an opening is arranged on the front end of the cavity; and the retractable device comprises a sun shield and an actuating device, the sun shield is mounted in the cavity at the top of vehicle body in an extensible and retractable manner, the actuating device is mounted in the cavity at the top of vehicle body and coupled to the sun shield to drive the sun shield to stretch out and draw back, the cavity at the top of vehicle body is provided with a sliding rail, the sun shield is provided with bending rims at two sides thereof, and the bending rims are slidably engaged on the sliding rail.

Abstract: A support bracket assembly configured to couple to a vehicle body and support a collapsed articulating frame of a vehicle soft top assembly is provided. The support bracket assembly includes a support bracket having a main body portion having a slot formed therein and configured to couple to the vehicle body, and a receiving portion coupled to the main body portion and configured to receive at least a portion of the collapsed articulating frame therein. A strap is configured to be inserted through the slot and wrapped around the collapsed articulating frame to facilitate securing the collapsed articulating frame within the receiving portion and preventing relative movement of the collapsed articulating frame when the vehicle is in motion.

Abstract: A protective device for a vehicle includes a flexible cover duplicating the contours of the car, and a container, in which the flexible cover is arranged. The container can be fastened in the rear part of the vehicle with the aid of at least one fastening element. The flexible cover is polymeric, with a light-reflecting material or coating applied to one side and a light-absorbing material or coating applied to the other side. The container can be fastened on the vehicle boot or on the rear part of the vehicle roof or on the vehicle bumper. In another alternative, the container of the protective device can be fastened on the internal side of the vehicle boot lid with the aid of at least one fastening element. The protective device provides reliable and durable protection for the car from overheating in summer and from super cooling in winter.

Abstract: A bicycle bag protects a bicycle while the bicycle is secured to a rack, such as a vehicle bicycle rack. The bicycle bag includes resealable openings configured to allow the bicycle (and bag) to be securely attached to a wide variety of different rack types. Additionally, because there is risk of obscuring the tail lights of a vehicle for rear-mount racks when a bicycle bag is on the bike and the bike on the rack, the bicycle bag includes pockets designed to support a tail-light system that can be connected to the vehicle to provide additional lighting and safety.

Abstract: The present invention provides a compact covering for automobiles. This device is configured to be located on windshield of vehicles, where it is anchored to the necks of side minors by elastic straps. The device has four rolls of cover-sheets and a housing which is constructed of two halves inserted fitly into each other. It is easily placed onto its working position by means of a wheel and suction-cups. Cover-sheets will be pulled out via apertures on the housing and stretched over the vehicle. To help pulling easily, each of the cover-sheets will have a pipe-shaped stopper attached at its outer end. Each of the pipe-shaped stoppers will have hooks which hooks onto the edge of chassis. The axes of cover-sheets rolls are mounted with the constant springs, so they can rewind after each use. Brushes above the apertures will swipe off dust, tree leaves, etc. from cover-sheets when they are rewound.

Abstract: Provided is an arrangement for stowing away a retractable tonneau cover assembly (50) under a floor of a luggage space (10) requiring a very small space. A recess (36) is formed laterally across a width of a vehicle body in a rear end thereof. When stowing away the assembly, an outer tube (52) of the assembly is received in the recess with a longitudinal slot (54) thereof facing upward. A flexible cover sheet (56) extends out of the longitudinal slot (54), and a rigid free end member (58) attached to a free end of the flexible cover sheet (56) extends along a rear side of the outer tube into a deep section (36B) of the recess (36). Therefore, the recess (36) is required to have a width which is not significantly greater than the height (h) of the outer tube (52).

Abstract: A cover removal and installation roller assembly for an automobile that is particularly suited to be operated by hand, by an individual, in order to install or remove a cover from the automobile. The roller assembly includes a self-storing hand crank that is removably connectable to a cover spool whereby the cover spool can be rotated in order to wind the cover therearound or play the cover out from the spool. The cover in one embodiment is removably connectable to the cover spool. Methods for using the cover roller and installation roller assembly are disclosed.

Abstract: A retractable vehicle shade is provided for vehicles comprising a hollow central box mounted on a rooftop of the vehicle, a front sliding panel slidingly fitted into said box through a slot at the front end and configured to cover at least front glass pane, and a rear sliding panel slidingly fitted into said box through the slot at the rear end and configured to cover at least rear glass pane. The vehicle shade further comprises a detach-ably attached water-proof stretchable fabric member for providing a detachable layer over respective panels and central box, said fabric member having one or more elastic members, causing it to fold up along the end portions of the sliding panels on the top of box, when said panels are retracted backwards into said box.

Abstract: The invention is a storage container for mounting on the bed of a pickup truck. The invention requires that the pickup truck be modified by imparting equally placed left and right cutouts in the sidewalls of the bed of a pickup truck, the cutouts extending from the bed rails to about midway down the sidewalls of the bed. The inventive storage container is mounted in the cutouts and is of a width wherein the sides of the container coexist in approximate flush planar relation with the bed sidewalls and cab of the pickup truck to which the invention is attached. The mounting position of the container is such that it remains suspended in the bed cutouts a substantial distance above the deck of the pickup bed, thereby allowing elongate items such as 4×8 sheets of plywood to be accommodated beneath the container.

The convertible vehicle is configured in such a manner that tolerance compensation is provided in the cover part (6) and/or in the joint connection (12). Said compensation results in a deviation of the trajectory of one part of the cover part (6) and/or the joint connection (12) of the circular trajectory (20, 21), at least during the pivoting of the cover part (6) in order to release the opening for the roof.

Abstract: A control system controls the movement of a convertible top, decklid, and tonneau cover to minimize the overall cycle time of the system. The top is pivotally coupled to a vehicle body for movement between an extended position covering a passenger compartment and a retracted position disposed in a storage space. The decklid is pivotally coupled to the body for movement between a closed position covering the storage space and an open position to accommodate movement of the top into the storage space. The tonneau cover moves between a use position extending outwardly from an end of the decklid to conceal the convertible top in the retracted position and a stowed position disposed beneath the decklid. The control system is preprogrammed to begin movement of the tonneau cover to the use position when the decklid reaches a predetermined angle as the decklid moves between the closed and open positions.

The top compartment lid has a front end interacting with a locking device in the area of a lateral side rail for locking it on the side rail by a push-pivot movement; it is released by a reverse movement. A lifting drive acting on the top compartment lid is supported on the carbody spaced from the hinge device and is pivotably connected to the top compartment lid. The top compartment lid is pivotable in the area of the hinge device relative to support part of the hinge device.

A shaped bracket attached to the cover secures the cover to a rear portion of the vehicle. The cover when deployed completely protects the entire interior of the vehicle and the side mirrors. An adjustable elastic cord sewn into the periphery of the cover secures the cover at the sides and front of the vehicle. A cover storage pocket hangs from the bracket at the rear of vehicle. Abstract: The present invention provides a protective automobile cover apparatus that can be conveniently deployed or stored by one person in approximately one minute. The automobile cover apparatus provides improved storage, anchoring and deployment mechanisms. It includes two containers with a flexible cover sheet stowed in the first container in a free-folded form. The first container has a length similar to the width of the opening of the trunk and is stored in the second container in its storage position. In its operative position, the first container rests on the rear bumper and is anchored relative to the vehicle by straps caught by the second container which is secured inside the trunk compartment of the automobile. The user grasps a handle element to extract and display the cover sheet from the first container without the need of unfolding the cover. The user can also easily uncover the automobile and stuff the cover sheet into the first container, without the need of compactly folding the cover.

Abstract: A drivable flap hinge for connecting a flaps such as a front hood or a trunk lid, to a body of an automobile in an articulated manner. The drivable hinge includes a first retaining part for fixing to the flap, a second retaining part for fixing to the body, at least one connecting member, which is pivotably arranged on at least one of the two retaining parts with a joint, and a driving motor, which is drive-connected to a joint pin of the joint. The flap hinge advantageously enables a front gate or tail gate of an automobile to pivot in a driven manner as a result of the driven joint pin connecting the first retaining part and the connection member.

Abstract: A cover assembly for a vehicle bed includes first and second cover members and a pair of cover mounts constructed to mount the cover members to the vehicle bed. The cover mounts enable the cover members to be moved between (a) a closed position wherein the cover members extend between the side walls of the vehicle bed to close the upwardly facing opening of the vehicle bed, (b) an open position wherein the cover members extend upwardly from the side walls to uncover the upwardly facing opening of the vehicle bed, and (c) a storage position wherein the cover members are retracted downwardly from the open position into the vehicle bed. At least one motor is operatively connected to the cover members to move the cover members at least between the closed and open positions thereof.

In the open position of the top, the extension member is positioned substantially in front of the top cover, when viewed in the travel direction of the convertible.
