Each panel is configured to cover an adjacent portion of the cabin of the vehicle; with one or more panels including a retention mechanism to secure the panels by gripping between closed doors and door frames of the cabin. A storage and deployment mechanism is configured to store and deploy the cover from one or more locations on the vehicle; wherein in operation, when deployed, the cover forms an enclosure over the cabin thereby protecting external surfaces of the cabin and thus its occupants and an internal lining of the vehicle from exposure to radiant heat, burning embers and flames if the vehicle is moving through or becomes trapped in a fire.

The straps may be configured to pass through a hinge gap to secure the vehicle pad to the vehicle. The vehicle pad may include a lock that includes first and second lock straps and a locking piece. The second lock strap may attach to the locking piece and positioned adjacent to a surface of the at least the first layer. The first lock strap may attach to the second lock strap and configured to pass through the hinge gap and attach to the locking piece. The lock may be configured to lock the vehicle pad to the vehicle.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing one or more protective panel for a vehicle that comprises affixing plastic sheeting to a vehicle surface; magnetically coupling at least one magnet strip over the plastic to the surface; spraying a heated mixture of thermoplastic polyurethane and polyurea on the sheeting over the at least one magnet; drying the mixture into a body; cutting at least one panel from the body. The panels are cut according the shape of the surface area to protect, after which the plastic is removed from the cut panel shapes.

Abstract: An exterior truck bed and tailgate armor system is an armored cover for the exterior surface of a pickup bed that is able to be quickly installed to protect the exterior surface of the pickup bed from scratches and minor dents. The truck-bed armor assembly has three sections to cover the left side, the right side and the tailgate of the truck bed. The left side and right side covers have a curled lip at the bottom edge that hook underneath the bottom edges of the bed, and fasten to the top edge of the lip of the bed using clamps that may be attached and tightened without the use of tools. The tailgate section hinges along the width of the upper periphery and uses flush mounting threaded fasteners on the upper periphery.

Said cover is made of an elastic sun blocker material, 84% polyester 16% spandex and custom fitted to each make/model of car so it fits snuggly. Said cover is easily cared for since it is washable in any small non-commercial residential washing machine. When not in use it is stored in a small sack approximately 12 to 15 inches square and made of the same material as the body of said cover. The holding sack is positioned at the trunk end of said cover to help orient said cover front to back when being placed and to add to retention and anti-theft properties when the trunk is closed following placement of said cover.

Abstract: Systems and methods for altering the appearance and/or texture of a vehicle surface include installing a vest relative to a vehicle surface such that an exterior side of the vest, spaced from the vehicle surface, defines a fluid-tight space between the vehicle surface and the exterior side of the vest. Visual media can be provided into and from the fluid-tight space using one or more ports, the exterior side being at least partially transparent or translucent such that the visible media within the fluid-tight space are visible through the exterior side of the vest, thereby allowing the repeatable alteration of the appearance of the surface.

Abstract: An adjustable automobile shade cover and a method for covering the windows of a vehicle are disclosed. The shade cover includes a flexible and collapsible shade panel covering the windshield, the window and passenger compartment of the vehicle to provide temporary shading from the sun and other weather elements, and is adjustably anchored to the closed trunk on one end of the shade panel, and to a front or side area of the vehicle on the other end of the shade panel.

Abstract: A cover that replaceably attaches to a hood having peripheral edges of a vehicle having an engine bay without interfering with the engine bay of the vehicle and to thereby cover and protect an ambient-facing surface of the hood of the vehicle. The cover includes a sheet, and a strap arrangement. The sheet covers, protects, and lies flat on, the ambient-facing surface of the hood of the vehicle. Abstract: A bicycle bag protects a bicycle while the bicycle is secured to a rack, such as a vehicle bicycle rack. The bicycle bag includes resealable openings configured to allow the bicycle (and bag) to be securely attached to a wide variety of different rack types. Additionally, because there is risk of obscuring the tail lights of a vehicle for rear-mount racks when a bicycle bag is on the bike and the bike on the rack, the bicycle bag includes pockets designed to support a tail-light system that can be connected to the vehicle to provide additional lighting and safety.

Abstract: An improved portable golf cart cover made from lightweight material enabling the cart cover to fit within a small storage bag that may conveniently be hung from a user's golf bag or stowed within one of its pockets. The cart cover may weigh 1.5 pounds or less and fit within a cylindrical storage bag. The cart cover may be fabricated from polyvinylchloride (PVC) film material or polyethylene (PE) material. The cart cover seams may be heat bonded, chemically bonded or attached by other means known in the art. The cart cover may be of such low cost that it could be termed disposable. Attachments may releasably secure the cart cover to the upper rear frame and wheel well structures of the golf cart. The cart cover may include provisions for advertising on the non-transparent surfaces thereof.

Abstract: A cover for a motor vehicle or other objects having a top surface and generally used or stored outdoors. The cover includes two sides that together substantially cover the top surface. The two sides meet along two barriers that extend perpendicularly upwards. Magnets, hook-and-loop fasteners and/or other fastening members are used to couple the two barriers together and to mount the sides to the objects. After a snow storm, the two sides are pulled laterally away from each other and then off the object. The barriers and the sides cooperate to drag and remove the snow from the top surface.

Thus, after a car is parked on the floor mat, air enters from an inflation hole into the sidebar to expand the sidebar. The cover body covers the car, and a zipper of the cover body and the floor mat is zipped up to cover the car inside the waterproof cover, to isolate the car from the outside and to prevent the car from soaking water and to prevent a car body of the car from being scratched by drifting sand and stone, and to achieve the effect of floating and balancing the car body.

In one embodiment, the cover fits over the windshield, roof, rear windshield and open trunk of the vehicle, and may be attached to the vehicle using various attachment means. The rear portion of the cover extends beyond the rear of the vehicle to provide a sheltered area adjacent to the rear of the vehicle, without interfering with the use of the car doors and side windows. The collapsible frame assembly may include a pair of legs and an arch assembly to support the rear shelter portion of the cover, and may consist of a series of flexible pole members that fit together, similarly to tent poles.

Abstract: An impact protection device and a method for protecting an object, such as a vehicle, using the impact protection device. The impact protection device is particularly useful for protecting a vehicle from damage due to hail storms. The impact protection device includes a layer of high tensile strength polymer and a metallic layer disposed adjacent to the high tensile strength polymer layer. The impact protection device is advantageously thin and lightweight and can be easily stored in the trunk of a vehicle for rapid deployment during a hail storm.

A drawstring sewn into a hem of a perimeter of the temporary vehicle cover or an elastic loop may be used for the means for securing the transparent cover to the motor vehicle.

Abstract: The hood cover is constructed from a sheet of elastic, weather-resistant fabric, which allows the hood cover to stretch tightly around the peripheral edges of the vehicle hood and lie flat across the top surface of the vehicle hood. The hood cover is secured to the vehicle hood by a draw string and by two adjustable tension straps. The first tension strap pulls the hood cover tight around rear hood corners. The second tension strap pulls the hood cover tight around the convex leading edge and the concave rear edge of the vehicle hood. The fabric from which the hood cover is constructed prevents the distortion of decorative graphic artwork within certain areas of the hood cover. The blend, weave and sett of the fabric gives the hood cover “sequential elasticity” that allows fabric stretch to be isolated and localized around the periphery of the vehicle hood so that the central area of the hood cover remains primarily “un-stretched.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a protective cover having a first panel superimposed over and connected to a second panel. The first panel is connected to the second panel such that the first panel is slidably moveable relative to the second panel so that the first panel will be sheared relative to the second panel upon the first panel being impacted by a force having a component which is non-perpendicular to the first panel. Each of the first panel and the second panel has a top sheet and a bottom sheet. The top sheet is connected to the bottom sheet to form an air chamber. A valve is disposed through the panels and manually operable between an open condition and a closed condition to allow air to be selectively removed from and drawn into the air chamber of the first panel. The air chamber is provided with a resilient, open-celled, foam panel to cause air to be drawn into the air chamber upon expansion of the foam panel from a collapsed condition.

Abstract: A vented transport cover is disclosed for use in protecting vehicles, cargo and other objects during transport. The vented transport cover includes at least one venting member secured within the cover. Each venting member includes a downwardly extending, recessed body portion having an exhaust aperture oriented at the front of the venting member. The venting member includes an upwardly extending air diffuser that disrupts the oncoming stream of air during transport of the object. The air diffuser stabilizes the vent by preventing the vent from flapping during travel. Due to the recessed nature of the exhaust aperture, the air pressure at the exhaust aperture is less than that of the high speed airstream passing over the covered object. Negative pressure at the exhaust aperture induces exhaustion of air from within the cover and causes the cover to conform closely to the surface of the covered object.
