Abstract: A vehicle sunshade device including: a sunshade configured to block at least a portion of light entering a vehicle cabin, by being disposed along a door glass of a vehicle; a knob attached to the sunshade; and a case configured to internally stow the sunshade, such that stowing of the sunshade is complete in a state in which the knob contacts the case.

Abstract: An overhead roll-up door assembly for a vertically moving door to permit and prohibit access to an opening, the door assembly having a door panel with two faces and opposing marginal and lateral edges, and at least two wind locks attached proximate each marginal edge. The at least two wind locks extend away from one face of the door panel in a direction substantially perpendicular thereto, and are spaced apart vertically along each respective side edge of the door panel. The assembly further includes a drum for winding and unwinding the door panel to permit and prohibit access to the opening, and, a pair of opposing parallel side columns aligned and spaced apart such that each of the opposing side edges engage one of the side columns in a manner in which at least a portion of the side columns guide vertical movement of the door panel.

Abstract: A vehicle interior component to which a shade assembly, which includes a shade and a shaft, is mounted includes an interior component body including a top wall, and a protruding member. The top wall is arranged such that a longitudinal direction thereof corresponds to an axial direction of the shaft. The top wall has an opening through which the shade is drawn. The top wall has exterior and interior opening edges at the opening. The interior opening edge includes a straight section and a raised section having a different shape from the straight section. The protruding member is arranged below the raised section and having a protruded edge extending straight in the longitudinal direction and on which the shade leans from an exterior side of the vehicle such that the shade bends toward an interior of the vehicle at the protruded edge when the shade is unrolled.

Abstract: A sunshade device includes a pair of rails disposed so as to have a gradually decreasing spacing therebetween, a windup device disposed between proximal ends of the pair of rails, a shade configured to be drawn from and housed in the windup device, a stay attached to a short side edge of the shade, a pair of shafts respectively inserted into the stay so as to move along a longitudinal direction thereof at both ends of the stay, and a pair of runners respectively provided so as to move along the pair of rails and coupled to the pair of shafts. Provided at least on one end side of the stay is a rotation mechanism causing the stay to change its position upon reception of a force by which the shafts move along the longitudinal direction of the stay as the pair of runners move along the pair of rails.

Abstract: A door-sash hook member is attached to a surface of a door sash of a vehicular door. The door-sash hook member includes a superposed surface superposed on the surface of the door sash, and a circumferential wall surface standing from the superposed surface to form a circumferential edge of the superposed surface. At least a part of the circumferential wall surface is a welded face weldable to the surface of the door sash with a welding material. The circumferential wall surface includes a projecting portion adjacent to the welded face, and the projecting portion protrudes outwardly compared to the welded face along a plane of the superposed surface.

Abstract: A retractable enclosure for open sided golf carts and/or recreational vehicles. Golf cart retractable enclosures have roll-back doors which coil into housings and onto a tube within each housing for storage. The roll-back door panels are made up of sheets of flexible transparent plastic and or flexible opaque fabric material. Each roll-back door panel has an upper side edge which is received in a horizontal upper track extending from the front vertical post to the roll-back panel housing. The tubes are rotated by either electric motors and or springs in one direction to open and store the roll-back doors and rotated in an opposite direction to close the roll back doors.

Abstract: The present invention provides for a frame on the vehicle, the frame operable to accept the window. The frame having a first edge and an opposed spaced apart second edge. A shade having a fixed end and a free end. The fixed end mounted to the first edge of the frame. The assembly further including at least one magnet wherein the at least one magnet is connected to the free end of the shade. The shade is operable to extend away from the first edge of the frame and connect to the second edge of the frame. The magnet attached to the free end of the shade connects to a ferrous material provided on the second edge of the frame. The magnet attachment allows for a user to blindly extend the shade assembly to an extended position.

Abstract: Golf cart weather enclosures have roll-up doors, which coil on spools for storage. The roll-up doors are configured of panels joined by hinges or are configured from sheets of transparent plastic. Each roll-up door has side edges which are received in a pair of spaced vertical tracks extending from the floor to the roof of the golf cart to stabilize the roll-up doors. The spools are rotated either by electric motors and/or springs in a first direction to close the roll-up doors and rotated in the opposite direction to open and store the roll-up doors in the roof.

Abstract: A sunshading apparatus includes a sunshade cloth having top and bottom ends respectively connected to a cross bar and a winding shaft. The cross bar has two opposite end pieces connected respectively to two track rails. The sunshade cloth passes through the passage opening. Two cover units close openably two opposite end portions of a passage opening formed in a rear window shelf of the vehicle. Each cover unit has two cover plates disposed pivotally at two transversely opposed sides of the passage opening and movable toward each other to a closing position that covers the corresponding end piece, or away from each other to an opening position that permits passage of the corresponding end piece.

Abstract: In a rear-window roller blind for motor vehicles in which a rear half of a back-seat shelf, which is located between the rear window and the pull-out slot for the rear-window roller blind, is used as a support element for the roller blind. The back-seat shelf half is made either from a wood material or is a plastic molded part. Through alternative arrangements, it is ensured that the temperature expansion and contraction of the components of the roller blind and its support are accommodated.

Abstract: A bumper with an override feature for a vehicle has at least one impact resisting member having at least one bumper beam with a bumper face and at least one override member having at least one override face extending from the bumper beam to increase an effective face area of the bumper beam.

Abstract: A shade arrangement for a motor vehicle with a drive unit which has a roller tube for taking up a shade, a roller shaft, an electric motor for driving the roller tube around the roller shaft, and a planetary gearing, the inner surface of the roller tube being formed as a ring gear of the planetary gearing. The electric motor has a stator and an armature, the stator being connected to the roller tube and stator turns with it, and the armature turns relative to the vehicle body when the roller tube turns. The electric motor can have sliding contacts by means of which it is connected to the voltage source of the vehicle. Alternatively, the electric motor is connected by means of flexible cables to a body-mounted voltage source of the vehicle. Furthermore a slip clutch can be provided in the drive line of the roller tube.

Abstract: A window shade is stored on a storage roller mounted beneath a vehicle window opening. A trim panel has a slot through which the window shade may be unwound and raised to a use position shading the window. One or more hooks are attached to the window shade to engage with mating hook retainers at the top of the window opening to retain the window shade in its raised position. The lowered position of the window shade is established by the hook being engaged with a corresponding hook retainer on the trim panel. A finger grip is pivotally mounted on the upper end of the window shade so that the finger grip can have a predetermined pivotal position corresponding to the lowered position of the window shade and a different pivotal position when the window shade is in the raised position.

Abstract: A rear window roller blind for motor vehicles which has a pull rod assembly with a contoured plate. The contoured plate is used to close the segmented residual gap between the straight pull rod assembly and the curved top edge of the rear window. In order for the contoured plate to lie flush with a rear shelf below the rear window when the roller blind is in a retracted position, it is pivotable about a longitudinal axis of the pull rod assembly during movement of the pull rod between its retracted and extended positions. Such rotational movement is controlled by the contour of guide rails within which the pull rod is guided during such pull out movement.

By reason of such arrangement, it is possible either to use the window shade support itself for closing the slit when the window shade web is in the retracted position, or the winding shaft can be moved to close to the slit.

Abstract: A device for tensioning a side tarpaulin on a mounting structure, such as a vehicle superstructure, includes an abutment element attachable to the mounting structure, at least one side tarpaulin tightener separate from the abutment element being attachable to the side tarpaulin and swivelable into the abutment element to a closed position therein so as to apply a desired tension to the side tarpaulin, and a latch mechanism pivotally attached to the side tarpaulin tightener and engageable with the abutment element upon swiveling of the side tarpaulin tightener to the closed position for releasably securing the side tarpaulin tightener to the abutment element at the closed position and for retaining the side tarpaulin tightener at the closed position independent of the tension exerted on the side tarpaulin.

Abstract: A windup window shade comprises a preassembled unit, consisting at least of the windup shaft, the associated seating elements and a frame tubing connecting the seating elements. In addition, the electric drive motor and guide tubes for guiding thrust members for actuating the windup window shade are part of the preassembled component. The windup window shade is connected with a traction rod, whose ends are guided in the guide rail elements, which are also a part of the component.

Abstract: A stowable partition assembly for a truck cab provides privacy for an interior sleeping area mounted aft of the operator space. The assembly has an overhead track depending from the cab ceiling, oriented to define a border between the forward operator area and the aft interior sleeping area. A pair of curtains are hung from their upper edges from the overhead track and are positionable on the track to divide the aft living space from the forward operator space when extended. A pair of stowage compartments are located at each end of the track along the interior sides of the truck cab to receive the curtain when retracted. Retraction of the curtains is provided by roll up retractors disposed in each stowage compartment. The curtains are each attached along one of two vertical edges to the roll up retractor to be wound thereon. An interlocking latch provides closure of the curtains when pulled from the stowage compartments.

Abstract: An automobile window shade system comprises a frame (20) formed of hollow horizontal elements (20a through 20d) and hollow vertical elements (22a through 22f) interconnected by T-shaped connectors (24a through 24f). The frame is installed inside the automobile and contains a beaded cord (128) with beads or expansions (130) rigidly attached to the cord. Two adjacent shades (142 and 144) are made of a light-impermeable flexible material and are attached to a yoke. An embodiment with a beaded thread (128) and an expandable spring-loaded C-shaped portion of the yoke makes it possible to shield and unshield windows selectively by fixing the yoke and pulling the beaded cord through the spring-loaded C-shaped hole of the yoke. As a result, the shades are shifted to a new initial position and then moved from this new position.

Abstract: A support post for a curtain sided trailer comprises an elongate member arranged to be hung from an overhead rail on the trailer. The elongate member has a roller assembly at one end allowing the post to be displaceable along the rail. A leg is secured to the other end to pivot about a knee joint. The leg is securable to the base of the trailer. A locking member locks the knee joint with the elongate member and leg extending in a straight line so that the post supports the roof of the trailer.

Abstract: There is disclosed a curtain-hanging track adapted to be mounted in a recreational vehicle having a flat, elongate rail fastened to an interior side wall thereof along and adjacent to the bottom of a window and a support member for said track which is fastened to the outer side end of the rail and disposed between it and the inner side wall.

Abstract: Mountably interposeable along the internal side of a transparent window pane is a sunrays-barrier assembly that shields a vehicular occupant from externally emanating sun rays. The sunrays-barrier assembly utilizes a conventional shade member having non-transparent sheeting convolutely wound around a roller having co-axial terminal pins. In addition to the conventional shade member, the sunrays-barrier assembly includes a bracket having a pair of longitudinally movably associated (but releasably arrestable) elongate bars respectively having inwardly extending terminal wings for removably receiving the shade member terminal pins. For removable attachment along the internalside of the vehicular window pane, the bracket includes at least two independently longitudinally movably and pivotably adjustable hooks that are specially adapted to removably mount the assembly to the encountered top-edge of a variable-elevational type vehicular window pane.

Abstract: A roller curtain is provided, generally in kit form for installation at the rear of a truck, just within the doors, to provide a liquid deflector preventing the general ingress of moisture which is frequently experienced. The curtain roller is installed adjacent the roof, being usually of the spring retracted type. The curtain does not seal the rear aperture, but is generally impermeable and serves to severely limit the ingress of atmospheric moisture when the truck is in motion, to thereby safeguard the load against untoward dampness and spoilation.

Abstract: A vehicle cover assembly including a housing disposed adjacent a passenger compartment of a vehicle, a roller disposed in the housing, a flexible shade disposed on the roller, conveyor wheels attached to the roller at either end thereof, conveyor lines mounted on the conveyor wheels, the shade being connected to the conveyor lines, brackets mounted on upper exterior portions of the passenger compartment and adjacent the passenger compartment at an end thereof remote from the housing, conveyor spools mounted on the brackets and having the conveyor lines mounted thereon; the shade may be moved out of the housing and along the conveyor lines to the passenger compartment end remote from the housing to cover the passenger compartment at the top and either end thereof. The intermediate brackets are preferably mounted on the rain gutters (note FIG. 2) of the vehicle.

Abstract: A portable windshield for a riding type golf cart embodying a transparent, flexible sheet extending across the forward end of the cart with the lower edge of the sheet being under a lower front portion of the cart and the upper edge of the sheet being over the front portion of the roof of the cart. Rigid rod-like members are carried by the lower and upper edges of the sheet and extend transversely of the cart under the lower front portion thereof and over the front portion of the roof thereof, respectively. Flexible members carried by the ends of the rod-like members are attachable to the cart.

Abstract: A windshield has a housing and a bracket to mount the housing in transverse relation on a vehicle. A roller in the housing has a transparent sheet rollably mounted thereon. An edge portion of the transparent sheet of material is securable to a lower portion of the vehicle in extended position.
