Abstract: A golf car canopy extension panel that is connectable to a canopy main panel, wherein the extension panel comprises a first extension longitudinal water channel that is fluidly connectable to a first main longitudinal water channel main panel, and a second extension longitudinal water channel that is fluidly connectable to a second main longitudinal water channel of the main panel, wherein the first and second extension longitudinal water channels each comprise a termination end structured and operable to direct water to exit the respective extension longitudinal water channel at an end of a sidewall of the respective extension longitudinal water channel.

Abstract: A latch arrangement for fastening a panel of a door or a window to a frame element is provided. The latch arrangement includes a locking element mounted on the frame element and displaceable between a locked position in which the locking element can be engaged with the panel locking thereby the panel to the frame element, and an unlocked position in which the locking element is disengaged from the panel unlocking thereby the panel from the frame element. An actuating mechanism, optionally including a manually operable handle, is mounted on the panel and configured to selectively engage the locking element and to displace the locking element to the unlocked position. Where a stop latch provides deadlock functionality, the panel-mounted actuating mechanism preferably sequentially releases the stop latch and then displaces the locking element.

Abstract: A modular retractable door assembly for open-air vehicle and method of articulation during stowage and deployment. The assembly is operable with an open-air vehicle to selectively cover and uncover the passenger side openings of the vehicle with doors and rear panels that pivot and slide inwardly and outwardly to selectively cover passenger side openings in the vehicle, and stow away in a roof enclosure. Two doors and two rear panels hingedly articulate between a deployed position covering the passenger openings; and a stowed position stowed on a pair of stacked rails inside a roof enclosure. The door and rear panel operate independently of each other. Multiple upper hinge members allow the doors and rear panels to pivot about a longitudinal roof support members of the vehicle. The door and rear panels slide in and out of the roof enclosure along traversing roof support members inside the roof enclosure.

Abstract: A skylight assembly for installation in a vehicle wall includes a lens body having an exterior surface and a cap connected to an end of the lens body and a lens flange. There is a nut member to secure the lens body. A gasket is disposed between the lens member and the vehicle wall and includes a first leg portion and a second leg portion. The first leg portion extends into a recess between a surface of an aperture in the wall and the exterior surface of the lens body and the first leg portion has a uniform thickness which is less than a width of the recess thereby forming a gap. The second leg portion extends from the first leg portion substantially at a right angle and is disposed between and in contact along its length with the lens flange and the exterior of the wall about the aperture.

Abstract: An accessory is provided that attaches to an existing zippered golf cart. The accessory includes strips that zip-attach to the mating components of an existing zipper. The strips of the accessory include mating magnets that release upon outward pressure so that a door panel can be easily opened, yet the magnets magnetically automatically reattach when the door panel is released. This makes it exceptionally easy to ingress and egress the golf cart.

A set of abutment surfaces for supporting the panel against applied forces is completed by a displaceable abutment block which selectively assumes an engaged state disposed between an abutment surface of the panel and an abutment surface of a strike jamb. The geometry of engagement is such that forces acting on the abutment block opposing opening of the panel are primarily compressive forces. Certain implementations additionally, or alternatively, employ abutment blocks for locking along the lintel or the threshold of the opening.

Abstract: A zipper less removable window system having removable windows for use with a foldable, stowable roof for a vehicle. A plurality of attachment devices of the zipper less removable window system connect the windows to the foldable, stowable roof and to the vehicle without the use of zippers. The operator zipper effort caused by traditional windows is thereby eliminated and misalignment issues present with traditional zippered windows is eliminated or reduced. The stress placed on the portions of the windows connectable to the foldable roof during installation and removal, including around curved portions of the removable window, is eliminated or reduced.

Abstract: A releasable fastener assembly is affixable through a panel having a front side and a back side and a mounting hole therethrough. The releasable fastener assembly includes a mounting button attachable to the panel back side, the mounting button having a button shaft sized to fit into the mounting hole and a button head with a diameter larger than the mounting hole. A seal may be fit between the mounting button and the panel back side. One part of a releasable fastener is attachable to the panel front side and has an aperture therein in alignment with the mounting hole. A fixing member secures the one part and the mounting button to each other through the panel.

The door-sash hook member includes a superposed surface superposed on the surface of the door sash, and a circumferential wall surface standing from the superposed surface to form a circumferential edge of the superposed surface. At least a part of the circumferential wall surface is a welded face weldable to the surface of the door sash with a welding material. The circumferential wall surface includes a projecting portion adjacent to the welded face, and the projecting portion protrudes outwardly compared to the welded face along a plane of the superposed surface.

Abstract: The invention relates to a convertible top for a convertible vehicle, comprising a convertible top material having a cutout, a profile part, and a window element, the profile part comprising a first connecting region and a second connecting region, wherein the first connecting region is assigned to the window element and wherein the second connecting region is assigned to the convertible top material, wherein a first adhesive layer is substantially encompassed by the first connecting region and the window element, said first adhesive layer defining a first adhesive connection between the window element and the profile part. A convertible top for a convertible vehicle which has an improved connection to a window element is provided in that the profile part is connected to the second connecting region of the convertible top material using a stitched connection.

Such windows and other articles made from DMBPC polycarbonate can be used in various applications including buildings, particularly in agricultural environments and in electronic devices.

Abstract: A modular door system provides a lower door assembly, an upper door assembly and a trim assembly. The upper door assembly is selectively removable and replaceable such that the door system is readily converted between a multiple of configurations. The trim assembly includes the interior vehicle door trim and a hinged trim portion. The hinged trim portion is defined by a trim hinge which is generally parallel to the open edge. By pivoting the hinged trim portion away from the open edge, the cavity is readily exposed for receipt of the upper door assembly. The difference in thickness of the upper door assembly is accommodated by pivoting of the hinged trim portion to permit passage of the components while still providing a seal for the cavity when the hinged trim portion is secured.

Abstract: A three-sided enclosure assembly usable with a golf cart having upright members supporting a roof. The enclosure assembly has first and second side panels positionable adjacent to side portions of the golf cart and adjacent to the roof. A rear panel is between the first and second side panels and is positionable adjacent to a rear portion of the golf cart. A support strap is connected to the top portions of the first and second side panels and is configured to removably attach the first and second side portions to the two upright members of the golf cart adjacent to the roof portion. The support strap supports the first and second side panels adjacent to side portions of the golf cart and the rear panel adjacent to a rear portion of the golf cart.

The protective covering has left and right side curtains that are adapted to hang from the canopy to enclose a portion of the passenger compartment. The protective covering may include a rear bag cover that is adapted to extend over the rear golf bag storage area from the canopy. The rear bag cover is a retractable awning. The protective covering also includes a rear curtain that is adapted to be positionable between the passenger compartment and the rear golf bag storage compartment.

Abstract: There is disclosed a system for suspending a rigid panel in an opening formed in a barrier structure. The system comprises a sleeve of flexible material having an anchor portion attachable to the perimeter of the opening and a grip portion opposite the anchor portion. The grip portion is contoured so as to form a channel disposed between an anterior extension and a posterior extension of the grip portion. Each of the anterior extension and the posterior extension comprises a fold of the flexible material having an apex at its inner end. A first elongated tensioning member received within the apex of the anterior extension and a second elongated tensioning member received within the apex of the posterior extension. The edges of the panel are received within the channel and the first and second elongated tensioners may be made sufficiently taut to prevent easy removal of the panel from the channel. Also disclosed is a method of suspending a rigid panel in a barrier structure employing structure as disclosed.

Abstract: A cover for a golf cart is removably affixed to an attached frame and existing roof support members of the roof of the cart where the attached frame comprises an upper frame, door posts and at least one removable door. The cover thus provides protection to golfers in a golfer compartment during inclement weather and also provides for convenient access to and from golfer compartment whether through door opening when opened or through the door frame when the door is in a closed position with the cover portion removed therefrom. The door may be stored in at least two positions upon the frame or may be removed from the frame and stored separately.

Abstract: A cover for a golf cart, the golf cart having a cart top and a passenger compartment. The cover having at least a top portion overlaying the golf cart's top, a left side portion, a right side portion and a front portion. The left and right side portions and the front portion substantially cover the openings of the passenger compartment on the golf cart to protect the occupants inside of the cart from poor weather conditions. The front portion of the cover includes a retractable windshield made from a flexible transparent material. The windshield can be retracted from the front portion of the cover by rolling it to at least one side.

The flange has a plurality of fastener-receiving structures, each of which are received within a corresponding one of the plurality of apertures in the roof cover. A first frame member extends about a periphery of the glazing and overlaps the flange and sealingly engages the roof cover. The assembly includes an outer frame member having a substantially flat lower body portion and a generally T-shaped upper body portion. The assembly also includes an inner clamping member having a substantially flat lower clamping portion and a generally C-shaped upper clamping portion. To assemble the removable backlight assembly, the opening of the convertible top is attached to the outer frame member. The backlight is then positioned against the lower body portion of the outer frame member. Then, the upper clamping portion of the inner clamping member interlocks or interengages with the upper body portion of the outer frame member so that the lower clamping portion of the inner clamping member engages the opposite side of the backlight.

Abstract: A replaceable or serviceable window forms a portion of the flexible top of a convertible vehicle. The window includes a flexible transparent material which forms the window and a flexible channel retainer which detachably secures the transparent material to the flexible top material. The channel retainer includes a backing member having a longitudinal channel and a locking molding which is lockingly received by the backing member. In a preferred embodiment, the backing member is dielectrically bonded to the transport window material and insertion of the molding sandwiches the top material into the channel retainer. The flexible nature of the window and channel retainer allows the convertible top to be folded into a more compact top stack for storage on the vehicle.
