Abstract: A slide-out room for recreational vehicles, sleeper cabs of trucks, and similar mobile living quarters is supported for movement through an aperture in the side wall of the mobile living quarters by a set of four linkages, two of which are mounted between each side of the slide-out room in the corresponding side of the aperture of the side wall of the unit. When the slide-out room is fully retracted within the mobile living quarters, one of the linkages on each side of the slide-out room is fully extended and the other is fully collapsed. As the slide-out room is moved toward the fully-extended position, the other linkage gradually expands and the one linkage collapses, so in the fully extended, as well as the fully retracted position, the slide-out room is supported and aligned for movement through the aperture in the vehicle slide-out room, and the slide-out room is continuously supported as it travels between the extended and retracted positions.

Abstract: A cammed vertical arm support system is described for the support and control of an expandable room that may be moved between a retracted position within a vehicle to an expanded position outward from the vehicle. The cammed relationship allows the room floor to lie above and generally parallel with the vehicle floor when the room is retracted and beside and generally flush with the vehicle floor when the room is extended. A moveable housing to conceal vertical arms is also disclosed.

Abstract: An adjustable body sub-frame assembly that mounts on a truck chassis, and an adjustable body panel assembly that mounts on the body sub-frame assembly. The body sub-frame assembly includes left and right sub-frame rails that mount on respective truck chassis rails. Each sub-frame rail includes sub-frame brace tubes and body support brackets. The sub-frame brace tubes are fixed to the sub-frame rails extending laterally inward from the truck chassis rails, and the body support brackets are fixed to the sub-frame rails extending laterally outward from the truck chassis rails. The body sub-frame assembly further includes sub-frame brace sleeves that receive corresponding sub-frame brace tubes of the sub-frame rails. The sub-frame brace tubes can be welded at different positions within the sub-frame brace sleeves providing for adjustability in the width of the body sub-frame assembly. The body panel assembly includes left and right body panels.

Abstract: A recreational travel trailer comprising a main housing which encloses a living space having multiple floor levels, and a two level extendable housing having a deployed configuration and an extended configuration. The extendable housing is movably positioned within an opening in the main housing so that a first floor of the extendable housing is positioned adjacent to a first floor of the main housing and so that a second floor of the extendable housing is positioned adjacent to a second floor of the main housing. In the deployed configuration, the extendable housing extends through the opening of the main housing so as to increase the enclosed space within the trailer. In the retracted configuration, the extendable housing is substantially positioned within the main housing so as to provide the main housing with a shape and size that is suitable for being towed on a public road. The trailer is further comprised of a two level actuator assembly which moves the two level extendable housing.

Abstract: A portable stage having at least a transport configuration and a deployed configuration is disclosed. The portable stage includes a chassis having wheels rotatably attached thereto and a main floor panel attached to the chassis. First and second deployable floor panels are pivotally attached to the main floor panel, and a deployable canopy is attached to the chassis. The deployable canopy is stored between the first and second floor panels when the portable stage is in its transport configuration. When the stage is deployed, the main floor panel, first floor panel and second floor panel form a main stage, and the canopy is large enough to cover the main stage.

Abstract: A mobile living quarters unit incorporates a slide-out room which is moveable between an extended position providing an auxiliary living area when the unit is parked and a retracted position retracted into the unit when the unit is moved. A latching mechanism automatically latches the slide-out room to the mobile living quarters as the slide-out room is moved into the retracted position, and releases the room to permit outward movement of the slide-out room when the unit is parked and the slide-out room is extended.

Abstract: The apparatus of the present invention for selectively actuable relative movement in a first direction between a first vehicle compartment mountable or mounted to a second vehicle compartment includes a first actuator mounted to the first vehicle compartment for actuation in a second direction of a follower mounted on a distal end of the actuator. An elongate channel is mounted to the second vehicle compartment in a first plane substantially parallel to a plane containing both the first direction and the second direction. The second direction is angularly offset in the first plane from the first direction. The channel is generally diagonally offset in the first plane from the second direction. The follower is mountable or mounted in the channel for sliding engagement therealong upon actuation of the first actuator. Actuation of the first actuator causes the relative translation between the first and second vehicle compartments.

Abstract: A reconfigurable, dual level trailer has a fixed length, a variable width, a variable height and a longitudinal axis. The trailer includes a lower body portion supported on a set of wheels and having a front wall, a back wall and a pair of opposite side wall. An upper body portion is disposed upon the lower body portion and has a fixed lower segment which telescopically fits within a movable upper segment. The lower segment has a front wall, a back wall and a pair of opposite side walls. The upper segment has a front wall, a back wall and opposite side portions in the form of continuous windows along the entire length of the trailer and a roof. A horizontal partition extends along the length of the trailer between the upper body portion and the lower body portion to define an upper level and a lower level.

Abstract: A recreational vehicle including a “slide-out” cabin portion is equipped with a locking mechanism which comprises a lock door pivotally rotatable to interfere with the wall opening periphery through which the slide-out cabin portion transitions. The slide-out further has an extensible portion front end positioned external to the wall opening such that the dimensions of the extensible portion front end exceed the dimensions of the wall opening. The extensible portion front end contacts the main cabin wall opening periphery along the entire perimeter of the wall opening thus completely sealing the wall opening when the slide-out is in a fully retracted position. Further, the slide-out locks are positioned sufficiently close to the extensible portion front end that when the slide-out is in a retracted position and the slide-out locks are in the locked position, the main cabin wall periphery is pinched between the slide-out locks and the extensible portion front end.
