Abstract: A foldable support device for a purse or other personal item is described. The foldable support device is easily transportable when folded, and can be unfolded into a stable, secure and clean support for placing personal items. The support device includes a support structure, from which transverse wings and longitudinal wings can be unfolded in order to provide a supporting structure to the personal item. In addition, the support device includes outwardly unfoldable leg members configured to support the wings at a certain distance from the ground. The support device can include a magnetic latch to prevent legs from unfolding. The wings and/or legs can be adjustable in length and/or width.
Abstract: A chair including a dynamically-flexible back and seat having a shape that adjusts to the movements of a user seated in the chair to enhance user comfort. Each of the back and seat has an air gap formed therewithin and a resilient frame or liner with a spring memory. The resilient liner is adapted to flex in response to compressive forces that are generated as the user slides his body back or from side-to-side in the chair. Accordingly, some of the chair back and some of the chair seat move into respective air gaps so that the shapes of the back and seat change to conform to the movements of the user. The air gaps also establish air flow ventilation channels which run laterally through the back and seat of the chair.
Abstract: A command chair for a water craft includes a seat with at least one arm defining an enclosure with an opening facing away from the seat. An instrument pod has an instrument display side. Guide tracks in the enclosure support the instrument pod for movement between a stored position and a deployed position. In the stored position, the pod is within the enclosed housing with the instrument display side facing away from the enclosure opening and an opposite face of the pod substantially covering the opening. In the deployed position, the pod extends out from the enclosure with the instrument display side substantially horizontal and facing upwardly to display the instruments on top of the pod. A drive, which includes a drive motor inside the pod, is adapted to move the pod along the guide tracks between the stored and deployed positions.
Abstract: A method of making an armrest that is mountable between adjacent left and right passenger seats includes: separately forming two receptacle parts by molding a prepreg in a first mold assembly, the receptacle parts being adapted to hold personal objects and each having a looped wall surrounding a slot; forming an armrest frame by molding a prepreg in a second mold assembly, the armrest frame including a lower frame portion having a plurality of downwardly extending legs, and an upper frame portion disposed on top of and bridging the legs; and positioning the receptacle parts within the second mold assembly and combining the receptacle parts with the upper frame portion during the forming of the armrest frame in the second mold assembly, thereby providing a one-piece unitary structure having the receptacle parts and the armrest frame.
