A housing is provided on a part of the frame assembly. A receptacle is provided in the housing and is positioned spaced from and faces away from the seat. A storage tray is located in the compartment and defines a storage space on the tray. The tray is movable between an opened position with the storage space and the tray extending outside the housing away from the seat and a closed position with the tray and storage space within the receptacle in the housing.

The back assembly has a pair of vertical length-adjustable members and hooks for attaching to the side of a swimming pool at the top. The back assembly also has a flexible cover secured between each vertical member. The seat assembly and back assembly are connected with a hinge so that the combined assembly can fold together for storage. The height can be adjusted with the adjustable members to suit different sizes of swimmers or different purposes. The chair can also be used out of the water as a deck chair.

Abstract: This is a new padded adjustable seat with attached movable protective see-through screen barrier, and removable leg guards, as to guard the seated person from serious injury, from objects, such as baseballs propelled at the seated person behind the see-through movable guard, by human or machine generated inertia. Variable degrees of lateral movement of the attached see-through barrier enable the seated person to extend outward reached arm and hand, with or without a baseball glove over the hand, with minimal effort as to move the see-through guard with the arm across body and in front of the barrier. The barrier screen will return to original upright oriented position. The see-through barrier, having adjustable receptors, would enable additional attachments as to provide additional protective surface area.

Abstract: A motor vehicle seat assembly has a seat body including a seat base portion and a seat back portion. A swivel mechanism moves the seat body between a first position for entering or exiting the vehicle and a second position for operating or traveling in the vehicle and includes a weight sensor and a motor for rotating the seat body. When a vehicle door is opened, the motor rotates the seat body into the first position and when the weight sensor detects the presence of an occupant, the motor rotates the seat body into the second position and a seat belt is moved into a position to secure the occupant in the seat body. A pulse sensor triggers an alarm if it detects a pulse rate indicating that the occupant is falling asleep. The assembly further includes a massage system, a heating unit and a cooling unit.

The device further includes an expandable handle coupled a second end of the elongated member and operable to be provided in a collapsed state providing a handle. The expandable handle is also operable to be provided in an expanded state to provide a seat for the user.

Abstract: A vehicle seat assembly includes a sensor assembly that is used to provide data for an occupant classification system. The data is used to determine such characteristics as seat occupant weight and position. These characteristics are used to control deployment of a safety restraint mechanism such as an airbag. The sensor assembly is part of a mat that is placed on top of a foam cushion used to form a seat bottom. Fasteners are used to permanently attach the mat to the foam to restrict lateral and vertical movement of the mat relative to the foam.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for detecting an improperly installed auxiliary child seat of the type that is secured in a motor vehicle by the seatbelt, and providing an alert to a vehicle operator in the case of improper installation. A seat occupancy sensor, a seatbelt buckle condition sensor, and a seatbelt tension sensor provides electrical signals to a child seat detection module, which determines that an improper installation condition exists if the auxiliary child seat is present and the seatbelt buckle is unfastened. The child seat detection module further determines an improper installation condition if the auxiliary child seat is present, the seatbelt buckle is fastened, and the seatbelt tautness is not within an acceptable range. If an improper installation condition is detected, the child seat detection module triggers an alerting device, such as a warning light on the instrument panel or audible chime.

The airstream can be regulated by way of a control device. Abstract: A salon chair includes a pedicure basin positioned between the foot of the chair and a front step opposite the foot of the chair. The pedicure basin includes a bottom floor, a perforated stepping surface above the bottom floor of the basin, and a nozzle assembly disposed between the bottom floor and the stepping surface for agitating water in the pedicure basin. Pressurized air is directed out of the nozzle assembly to induce a whirlpool action in the water held by the basin. The stepping surface may remain in the pedicure basin for days at a time, but may be removed when desired for cleaning purposes. The front step includes a cut-out, or groove, allowing allows a technician's chair to pull up closer to a person seated in the salon chair.

A person may be equipped with an identification device, such as a radio frequency identification device. The smart furniture may include a reader for the identification device to identify a person using the piece of furniture. The smart furniture may also include storage in which settings profiles of users are stored. The smart furniture may then receive a profile that matches the person using the furniture and set adjustable features according to the profile. Settings profiles may be uploaded to or downloaded from a remote storage using a wireless communications interface, such as a wireless network interface.

Abstract: A chair for transporting a person from a first location to a second location along a rail in response to an input provided to a control for a hoist and motorized conveyor by the person. The chair includes first and second seat portions that are pivotally attached to a frame and connected by a linkage arrangement to a lever arm. The hoist moves the chair toward a fixed surface while surrounding the person and as the person moves the lever arm from a first position, the first and second seats portions move from a vertical position to horizontal position under the person. Because these holes have inner diameters that are wider than the outer diameters of the bidet nozzles, water is drained away through the interstices between the hole walls and the bidet nozzles.
