The system may include a base portion, a child retaining portion, a sensor, and a controller operatively connected to the base portion and/or the child retaining portion, the controller for operating movement of the base portion and/or the child retaining portion, in some embodiments. The child retaining portion may include a first expandable section and a second expandable section to operatively expand to support a head and neck of a child seated there within.

The elongate support member may have a high-curvature portion and a low-curvature portion, where the low-curvature portion comprises two substantially parallel segments. Abstract: A neck support apparatus has a frame with a pair of risers spaced apart from each other and each having a bottom end and a top end. The frame is positioned on the back of a wearer. A harness maintains the frame in position. A flexible panel spans between the two risers. The shape of the two risers, the initial tautness of the flexible panel, and the material of the flexible panel, and other factors, contribute to the shape of the support surface that the flexible surface presents to the head and neck of a wearer of the apparatus. The flexible panel provides support to the head and neck of a wearer when the head of the wearer is tilted back, such as when a person is doing overhead work.

Abstract: A diaper changing and feeding support device is disclosed. The device includes a U-shaped pillow member with a first arm, a second arm and plurality of securing devices. The first arm includes a plurality of pockets and corresponding zippers, and the second arm includes a plurality of pockets and corresponding zippers. The device also includes a changing pad member with a plurality of detachable changing pads and a plurality of securing devices, the plurality of detachable changing pads adjustable to accommodate a plurality of different lengths and widths.

Abstract: A sleep aid apparatus for assisting side-sleepers is disclosed herein. The apparatus greatly reduces the amount of pressure that is typically experienced by side-sleepers on the inferior portions of their upper body and their arms. The inventive apparatus alleviates these problems by improving cervical nerve decompression, reducing pressure on the side-sleeper's spine, and improving neurovascular circulation in the side-sleeper's arms.

Abstract: The head restraint disclosed in the invention comprises a first bracket, a second bracket, and an elastic pillow back arranged side by side. The first bracket is connected to one side of the elastic pillow back, and the second bracket is connected to the other side of the elastic pillow back. The elastic pillow back is made of soft plastic, which gives a cushioned and comfortable feeling to the relying head. The first bracket or/and the second bracket is/are fixed to the chair back, and the second bracket can slide relative to the first bracket and adjust the length of the elastic pillow back from top to bottom, so as to meet the requirements for the comfort of head restraint for people of different heights and different levels. The invention has the advantages of simple structure and novel design.

Abstract: A headphone case is provided that serves as both a case for storing headphones and other objects, and a cushion to be worn around the neck. The case has either a fixed cushion located on different parts of the case, or a material that can be inflated, where the material has an outside layer comprising a cushion material. The case has two halves, a top half and lower half, which are held together by one or more hinges or other means. The headphone case can have a control unit for electronically inflating the material on the case, and for controlling units inside the case for controlling an amount and intensity of heat and vibration. Software can be uploaded to the control unit via a USB port or a Bluetooth antenna for controlling the different functions of the case. An application running on a phone, tablet or computer may control the functions of the various units inside the case.

Abstract: A therapeutic travel and spa pillow that can be used during travel for therapeutic purposes. In further detail, the therapeutic travel and spa pillow can be worn when riding in a transport vehicle such as, but not limited to, a train, bus, car, or plane in order to receive therapeutic benefits. The therapeutic travel and spa pillow includes a pillow body, a left strap, and a right strap . The pillow body is a cushioned support for the head and shoulders of the user. The left strap and the right strap allow the user to secure the therapeutic travel and spa pillow underneath his or her chin. This prevents the therapeutic travel and spa pillow from falling of the shoulders of the user. The left strap and the right strap are preferably cord-like strips of material.

There are a plurality of pads inside the head-shaped cavity that are selectively removable from the head-shaped cavity to accommodate a variety of head sizes and a washable liner covering the plurality of pads that is selectively removable from the pillow to accommodate laundering. The pillow has a neck portion extending from the open bottom and a circumferential pad on the outer surface of the head portion that is selectively removable to increase or decrease the size of the head portion.

The left and right portions may include a chin support or protrusion so as to increase user comfort. Pillows according to the present disclosure may also include anchor points on each side for adjustment of the degree to which a closure mechanism attached to a connector such as a drawstring can be tightened. A closure mechanism which may be attached to the drawstring portions may include internal components that can prevent or make more difficult disconnection via horizontal force, and may also include magnets for connection of the left and right sides thereof.

The anchor mechanism bodies can be attached to the travel pillow body, such as to the rear of the travel pillow body, or alternatively can be detachable from the travel pillow body. The anchor mechanisms can also include loops through which the anchor mechanism bodies can pass before reattaching to themselves or attaching to another element such as a cover of the travel pillow body. The anchor mechanism bodies can be placed around a portion of a headrest, such as headrest wings, to prevent or make less likely a user's head and/or body falling forward inadvertently.

The sensor device may be physically associated with a user and may communicate with the posture improvement software program. The sensor device may comprise: one or more sensors for monitoring positions and movements of the user. The system may calculate one or more optimum postural positions and breathing exercises for the user, based on data communicated by the sensor device and collected information about the user. Abstract: A head restraint device for improving quality of sleep inside passenger carriers includes a seat attachment assembly and a head restraint assembly including two elastic straps that are attached to the seat strap of the attachment assembly. The restraint assembly includes two adjusters coupled to the two elastic straps respectively, two head straps adjustably attached to the two adjusters, a face strap permanently attached to one head strap and attached to the other head strap via a loop and hook fastener. The two adjusters allow the face strap placed at center and the device to fit heads of different sizes. The face strap of bigger width provides better eye coverage and comfort. The restraint assembly restrains the movement of a head while the elastic straps absorb head motion and keep the passenger sleeping. The attachment assembly includes an adjuster for tightly attaching the device to a seat back or headrest.

The system comprises headwear having an outer surface and an opening that exposes an interior surface configured to receive the head of a wearer of the headwear, a flexible restraining device having a first end and a second end, each of the first and second ends coupled to the headwear, and a central portion between the two ends, an opening between the restraining device and the headwear, and a vertical support member coupled extending through the opening. The restraining device accommodates the vertical support member holds the headwear in place relative to the vertical support member.

Abstract: A system and method for supporting a user's head in an upright position. A strap is provided that has a first end, a second end, a first attachment section proximate the first end, a second attachment section proximate the second end, and a center section. The center section of the strap is anchored to the head of the user. Tension is applied to the strap in order to lift the user's head and hold the user's head in an upright orientation. The tension in the strap is maintained by anchoring the strap to the user's torso. The strap can have elastic characteristics that enable the strap to stretch. As such, the strap can provide resistance to neck movements without preventing those neck movements. This enables muscle groups in the neck to be exercised and provide the possibility of rehabilitation.

Abstract: The present invention is directed towards a travel pillow for sleeping in a vertical or near-vertical reclined position. When sleeping in these positions, gravity tends to pull the head forward of the shoulders causing it to droop. The current state of the art travel pillow does not provide a support means to counter this forward drooping tendency. Moreover, its rear support displaces the cervical spine forward, further increasing the tendency for the head to slump forward. The present invention holds a resting head in an upright and stable position to prevent forward head drooping and does so without forwardly displacing the cervical spine. The five novel elements of the present invention are integrally configured to maintain a healthy alignment between the occipital bone of the head, the cervical spine of the neck, and the thoracic spine of the upper back.

Abstract: A head and neck restraint system includes a vertical support and a head and neck restraint assembly coupled to the vertical support. The head and neck restraint assembly includes a pair of spaced members coupled to the vertical support. The pair of spaced members have a spring memory that permits movement of one of said members toward and away from the other member or movement of both of said members toward and away from each other. One or more spring biased wedges avoid the spring memory from returning one or both of the spaced members to a starting position after movement of one of the members toward the other member or movement of both of the members towards each other.

Abstract: Head support (10) for a person for use primarily during air travel, comprises a head piece (12) adapted to fit around the forehead of the person and a harness extending from the head piece to an anchor section which is connected to the person. The harness (14) includes one or more adjustable straps (16) so that the person can sleep in an upright seated position while supporting his or her head. The anchor section may be a portion of the harness (14) which passes under the person's upper thighs so that when the person is seated on the portion it provides an anchor for the head support (10).

Abstract: An integrated adjustable headrest includes a first curved head support and a second curved head support. Each of the curved head supports is secured to an adjustable rail, which itself is connected to the vertical track of a respective interior compartment. The interior compartment is located near the top of a chair, near a headrest section, inside a cavity. The curved head support can slide in and out of the adjustable rail slot. When extended, a person can rest their head on the curved head support. The curved head supports are also tiltable and extendable by manipulating the interior compartments or the adjustable rails. Locking mechanisms allow a user to adjust both the extension of the curved head supports and the angle of the adjustable rail slots. Once adjusted, the locking mechanisms secure the curved head supports in a desired position.

The head and neck support device comprises a rear supporting panel, primary supporting panel and a secondary supporting panel for defining a pillow enclosure frame and a pillow cavity. The pillow cavity receives the generally U-shaped pillow. The primary supporting panel applies a first opposing force for supporting the head and neck in a generally vertical position. The secondary supporting panel applies a second opposing force for supporting the head and neck in a generally vertical position.

Abstract: The disclosure herein provides compact portable head supporting devices that secure a user's head in a position sufficient to enhance the user's comfort in a seated position. Abstract: An apparatus is provided for facilitating sleeping while seated. Typically the device includes a headband, which may be a portion of a hat or a cap, and the device includes a tensioning device made of a flaccid or pliant material such as a ribbon or flexible cord. A user wears the headband and the tensioning device is positioned between the user's back and the backrest of a chair. With any forward motion of the person's head a tension is increased in the tension tie and that limits the forward motion of the person's head and facilitates sleep.

Abstract: An embodiment is a travel head support to support a traveler's head as, for example, they sleep while sitting substantially upright. By supporting the traveler's head, the travel head support of an embodiment may increase the comfort, quality, and restfulness of the traveler's sleep. Abstract: An inflatable comfort means for a child car seat includes a pair of inflatable pillows each of which further comprises a cover and a fastening means. The pillows each comprise a kidney-shaped pillow with a soft exterior which provides comfort to a child occupying the child car seat. The fastening means comprises a pair of fabric strips provided with fasteners in order to allow the strips to removably attach to the straps of the child car seat and to removably secure the pillow in place. The inflating means is a user-activated means to inflate and deflate the pillow.

Abstract: A head restraint for a vehicle child seat includes an elastic head band, at least two head support straps, a first attachment strap and a second attachment strap. The straps are elastic or non-elastic material. An inner perimeter of the elastic head band is sized to firmly fit around a child's head. One end of the first attachment strap is attached to one side of the elastic head band and one end of the second attachment strap is attached to an opposing side of the elastic head band. First and second releasable attachment devices are formed on the first and second attachment straps. First and second mating releasable attachment devices are attached to opposing sides of a vehicle child seat. There is a stretchable material covering the head attached to the elastic band and bias tape.

The right side of the headrest includes a right side occipital support portion and a right side mandible portion which extends outwardly from the right side occipital support portion. The left side of the headrest includes a left side occipital support portion and a left side mandible portion which extends outwardly from the left side occipital support portion. Abstract: Disclosed is an infant's headrest system that is adapted to be secured to a car seat, booster seat, or high chair. The headrest includes two halves that can be independently secured to the seat and that can be joined to one another via hook and pile fasteners. The two ends can be brought together around the periphery of an infant's head to prevent the infant's head from bobbing forward while they are asleep.

Abstract: A novel salon chair having a salon chair portion with a seat portion elevated above a floor surface on a support portion and a seat back portion.
