Connectable To A Chair Or Seat Patents (Class 297/423.4)
  • Patent number: 6948777
Abstract: A seating system is provided having a chair with a storage bay below the seat thereof and a cart-like ottoman which is storable within the storage bay. A connector arrangement is provided within the storage bay which positively engages the ottoman with the chair when the ottoman is rolled into the storage bay to a fully docked position. The chair and ottoman both include casters and the connector arrangement allows for both components to be moved simultaneously to a new position. In particular, preferably the chair includes casters on the front thereof and a handle on the back whereby lifting of the handle allows the chair as well as the docked cart to be tilted upwardly and rolled in unison to a new position.

  • Patent number: 6648417
Abstract: An auxiliary footrest for removably mounting to a chair having a post is disclosed. The footrest includes a clamp configured to be removably mounted to the post of the chair and generally C-shaped frame fixed to the clamp. The frame includes a foot support bar and opposite ends which define respective mounting rods for mounting the frame to clamp. The clamp includes a first bracket and a second bracket, each of which may be generally W shaped. Each of the brackets is mounted between the respective mounting rods of the frame, receiving the post between opposed V-shaped wall sections of the brackets. The brackets are secured to exert a squeezing force against generally opposite sides of the post, thereby fixing the footrest to the chair so that the foot support bar is cantilevered forwardly and elevated above the floor. The user can install and/or adjust the footrest at a desired vertical level for custom comfort.

  • Patent number: 6561588
Abstract: A child's car seat accessory with a footrest and/or storage pockets. The combined footrest and pocket version is made of cloth in a T shape. The middle of the top of the T fits in the seat of the car seat, with an opening to allow the fastening mechanism to pass through. To the right and left sides are the storage pockets, which hang over each side of the car seat. The pockets can be elaslicized on the outside to allow for greater storage and to hold items in the pockets. The bottom of the T has a foam footrest covered with the same cloth. Above the foam piece on both edges are snaps to allow the length of the foam to be adjusted to the child's leg length. The pocket accessory version is formed of a generally rectangular piece of cloth with a seat portion in the middle and the two opposite ends having pockets extending over each side of the car seat. The footrest accessory version is formed of a generally rectangular piece of cloth with a seat portion at one end and the footrest at the opposite end.
