Abstract: An entertaining cushion is provided, wherein the user can change the shape and visually enjoy such shape changes. The cushion includes an outer cover member formed by integrally combining a plurality of individual bag members that have different shapes such that the respective interiors of the bag members are in fluid communication with each other and a particulate filling material provided in the outer cover member that is capable of changing the appearance of the outer cover member by moving between and among the interiors of the bag members. Beads are used as the filling material.

Abstract: The stool with leg supports which may be used as a footrest, a table, or a chair. The stool has a flat wooden platform, a cushion that is disposed upon the platform and either three or four legs which depend from the platform. Each leg includes is formed by a post and padding which is wrapped around the post. Each leg is also provided with socks, nylon hosiery, pant legs, or other suitable clothing or accessory commonly worn over the legs and feet. A second end of each leg is affixed to a shoe to provide a broader base for the stool, and thereby increase the stool's stability.

Abstract: A saddle seat (1) which has a rounded center part (2), and side parts (3) which at least partially curve downwards at an angle from the center part in order to support the pelvis and thigh muscle of the seated person, the side parts (3) having front edges (4) which form an acute angle and between them is formed a space (5). The central edge section of the front edges (4) of the seat are curved backwards at an angle towards the center part of the seat (1) in order to form a space in between the edges which extends backwards.

Abstract: A stool includes a base and a post extending from a top of the base with a seat pivotably connected to a top of the post. A foot rest has a collar through the post extends and a recess is defined in an inner periphery of the collar. A cam member is received in the recess and a lever is connected to the cam member. A fastening member is received in the collar and mounted to the post. The cam member urges against an outside of the fastening member by operating the lever.

Abstract: A chair having a seat plate supported by legs, the seat plate having a top side with two concaves therein below where a seated person's hip bones project and optionally an additional concave rearward of the two concaves and below where the seated person's coccyx projects. The positions of the concaves are selected to be where a performer on a drum is likely to be seated when playing a drum while seated. The two concaves may be circular or may be elongated in the forward-rearward direction. The seat plate may be circular or it may be a bicycle seat shaped with downward and outward sloping concaves for the femoral thigh regions at the sides and toward the front.

Abstract: A dynamic sitting device includes a seat 20, a means for supporting the seat 30, and a novel floor-contacting element 40. Said novel floor-contacting element includes an outside edge 60 and a point 50. Said outside edge is circumferential to said point, and is positioned approximately perpendicular to said means for supporting seat. Said point is positioned near the center of said floor-contacting element and sits a short distance below a plane defined by said outside edge. A user can either balance the sitting device on said point in order to rock and spin, or rest the device on both said point and said outside edge in order to rest or to roll in a circular fashion. This invention promotes active sitting through the function of said floor-contacting element. The invention allows for both a dynamic sitting position that allows the body to be involved in maintaining balance and posture, and also a position of lesser activity and bodily involvement.

Abstract: A stool includes a post with a seat and a base respectively connected to a top end and a lower end of the post. A foot rest having a tube located at a center of the ring is movably mounted to the post. A C-shaped secure bush is received in the tube and mounted on the post. The tube has a semi-circular lip extending from an end thereof and a secure piece has a fist end pivotally connected to a first end of the lip. A second end of the secure piece is connected to a second end of the lip by a quick release device so that the secure piece pushes the secure bush toward the post by operating the cam device. The position of the foot rest can be adjustable by operating the quick release device.

Abstract: A cushion, a system of cushions, and a method for stacking cushions are provided. The cushion may have two sections or may be integrally formed. The cushion may have an opening within the lower section of the cushion to receive a portion of another cushion. When placed upon a second similarly structured cushion, a system of cushions results. The cushions may be stacked for the purposes of height manipulation, space conservation, or the like. The cushions may also be transported from one location to another by providing wheels on the cushion or by a dolly.

Abstract: A chair capable of stacking like a ladder is disclosed. The legs of the chair are alternatively arranged. The inner lateral sides of the chair have longitudinal supporting protrusion so that one chair may stack upon another chair by the supporting protrusion. Buckling devices are used to transversally connect chairs so as to be formed with a ladder shape chair frame.

Abstract: An article of furniture is disclosed. The article of furniture includes a multi-purpose article of furniture for use by at least one worker in a work environment having a horizontal support surface such as a floor and at least one vertical support surface such as a wall. The article includes a core formed by a first core section coupled to a second core section at an angular displacement and a cover configured to fit around the core. The core can be oriented in a first position for a first purpose and a second position for a second purpose. The article may be stored adjacent another article of furniture in a first arrangement and in use adjacent another article of furniture in a second arrangement. The article may also be a pocket for storing items attached to a covering skin. The covering skin may include a marking identifier.

Abstract: A furniture unit comprising a base unit, leg portions and a flat platform that rests on a support members within the base unit. The platform has a first and a second face, where the first face is structured to be a table surface and the second face has a cushion securely attached to it. The furniture unit may further comprise a back support unit securely attached to the base unit. The furniture unit may also comprise a pair of arm rests that are securely attached to the base unit.

Abstract: A portable stool useful for hunting, spectator events, and other uses which can be supported by any generally vertical surface such as a tree, wall, post, etc. and the ground is disclosed. The stool can be easily and quickly converted from a use mode into a compact mode for easy carrying and storage and back to a use mode. The preferred stool has a primary support member, a secondary support member, preferably pivotly attached to said primary support member, having a fork on one end, and a seat. The seat can be padded and preferably locks onto either the primary support member or the secondary support member, or both, in the compact mode. The primary support member can also have projections for attaching to a rope or cable making the stool also useful as a handle to pull or drag a heavy object such as large game.

Abstract: The stuffed child's stool has a typical seat and four legs for the structural members. These are then covered with a cloth material which is stuffed. There may or may not be a back portion attached to the seat for support. A shaped character, such as a bear, with head, partial shoulders and arms extending therefrom is attached around the edge of the stool, and over the back portion if one is included. The arms may or may not be attached around the seat edge. The head and arms which extend partially around the edge appear as a back and arms for the stool. The feet of the character may be formed with the shaped cloth material and stuffing.

Abstract: A holding structure for an upper post which supports a seat of a chair, such as a drum chair, in order to permit the seat to be rotated and preventing its undesired rotation, without loosening of the seat. The underside of the seat plate carries a holder having an accommodating part and a tightening part which are screw connected to clamp them against the top end region of the upper post. A synthetic resin compressive member surrounds the top end region of the post and includes a radially projecting flange extending between the accommodating and tightening parts for preventing rotation of the compressive member with respect to the accommodating part while permitting the seat to be rotated with respect to the post. The compressive member has a radial cut forming a split ring which are squeezed together as the compressive member is clamped and has a further cut from the first cut extending circumferentially half-way around.

The chair seat is attached to an upper support post by a holder that clamps around the upper support post. The holder includes two opposite holder parts which are drawn together by tightening screws. The upper support post is received in the interior of a lower support tube. A shaking prevention compression bush is disposed on the lower part of the upper support inside the interior of the lower support and presses against the interior wall of the lower support preventing shaking of the upper and lower supports.

Abstract: A seat cushion assembly comprises a cushion for placement on a top surface of a seat and a skirt extending downwardly from the cushion over an edge of the top surface of the seat. The seat cushion assembly can be removably retained over edges of the top surface of a seat, such as a stool. Abstract: A gardening stool that can also be used on hard surfaces. The stool includes a seat, an upright column and a rounded base. The rounded base allows the stool to be rocked. Spheres are provided along the outer periphery of the base which prevent the stool from being rocked on a hard surface, thus providing stability but still allow the stool to be rocked in the soft soil of a garden. A tool holder can be mounted on the column to hold gardening tools. A series of holes may be provided in the column to support the tool holder by means of pins.

The legs are dressed with socks or stockings and shoes are passed over the feet with padding disposed between the feet and the shoe interior. Alternatively, the legs are made of plastic molding having the appearance of human legs and feet. The plastic legs preferably have a surface coating of elastomeric material to provide the consistency of human flesh.

The front leg is shaped to allow the stool to be used in close proximity to work stations like kitchen counters or workbenches, while the rear legs and front leg are arranged so as to provide generous clearance for the legs of a person rolling about on the stool.

Abstract: A collapsible footstool is disclosed and includes a platform and a pair of legs adapted to support the platform in an elevated position. The legs are hinged to the platform so that they can be folded inwardly below the platform and stop means are provided for preventing outward movement of the legs beyond positions in which they support the platform. Bracing means are also provided and include respective struts pivotally coupled to the underside of the platform and adapted to co-operate with the legs for bracing them in their operative positions.

Abstract: A furniture support structure includes a pair of front legs and a pair of rear legs each having bore holes therein for receiving rungs that extend therebetween. The pairs of legs are locked together by rungs in the form of dowels which have grooves adjacent the ends thereof through which pass screws that register with threaded inserts in front and rear rungs which extend between the front legs and the rear legs respectively. In a preferred embodiment, the furniture support structure is used to form a seat in which an additional pair of dowels extend between the front and rear pairs of legs and support a trapezoidal-shaped web extending therebetween. In order to absorb the force applied to the structure when a person sits in the seat, the front legs and rear legs are held spaced apart by front and rear dowels. If the seat is to be configured as a chair, or the like, the rear legs extend above the front legs to support a back panel.

Abstract: A pedestal stool is disclosed having a base carrying a stem on which a seat portion is supported.The base includes a sand-filled, bulbous, ground-engaging bag or sack to enable the stool to be tilted at any angle and held at that angle by virtue of the change in shape of the sack in response to the resultant flow of sand which produces a new equilibrium position for the stool.
