  • Publication number: 20140290068
Abstract: I claim to have invented a tool to cut multiple pizza slices simultaneously in order to reduce pizza slice cutting time. This invention provides an improved method of rapidly and quickly cutting pizza into anywhere from 4 to 12 slices. The tube contains a spring that immediately retracts the blades back into the blade guards once they have cut the pizza into the number of slices for which the specific model and size is designed to produce. Each model is equipped with Kuhn Rikon type non serrated ceramic blades. The blades come down out of the metal blade guard. With this device cutting pizzas into anywhere from 4 to 12 slices is as simple as pushing down on the handle, and then letting go of the handle. The pizza is instantly cut into equally sized slices.

Abstract: The present invention relates to cake cutters that may cut a cake thoroughly different from any cake-cutting device on the market or previously claimed. The invention is a modified corrugated cardboard circle or square, commonly known as a cakeboard. There are two iterations of said invention, one that is designed to cut a circular cake into slices, and another one to cut a rectangular cake into rectangular or square pieces. Both iterations involve using string to cut the cake, as opposed to a knife, and both are disposable and can be built into the cakeboard itself. The circular cake cutter is made with a center pivoting ring with a string strung through the center, designed to cut the cake into slices. The rectangular iteration involves dowels with strings that can be cut off depending on personal preference of the size of the piece of cake.

  • Patent number: 7658010
Abstract: A cutter includes radial cutting blades connected by a hinge about which the blades may be rotated between collapsed and extended positions. A rotary body and rotary cap form a handle which holds the inner ends of the blades. The members are mounted for rotation about the hinge axis relative to free blades. Circumferentially spaced stop faces on the body are spaced apart in the axial direction. Circumferentially spaced abutment faces on the cap are spaced apart in the radial direction. The abutment-engaging faces of adjacent free blades are correspondingly spaced apart in the radial direction. To extend the blades, the cap is rotated relative to the body, with the cap and body holding the portions of each free blade between a respective stop face and abutment face for locating the free blades in the extended positions.
