Abstract: The invention relates to a manual cutting tool including two jaws each provided with a cutting blade, the two jaws being mounted movable in rotation with respect to a securing system so as to define a closed position and an open position of a cutting area. The tool also includes two cams mounted rotating with respect to the two jaws and each including an aperture, and a bearing surface having a variable curvature, the two bearing surfaces being configured so as to be in permanent connection. The tool includes two connection parts positioned on the axes of rotation of the jaws and configured to connect the cams to the jaws.

Abstract: A kitchen tool that cuts a zig-zag pattern into a vegetable or fruit which encompasses the total circumference is disclosed. This is accomplished by rotating two handles relative to each other so that movable blades, via cams, are forced into the fruit/vegetable. The movable blades are constrained to a linear motion by guiding surfaces in top and bottom plates along with cams and pins. The entire cutting assembly is readily cleanable by easy disassembly or thorough rinsing/washing.

Abstract: A cutting shear which is formed of a pair of members pivotally mounted in a scissors arrangement. Each member has a jaw member and a handle member, and within one of the handle members is mounted an internal chamber which is closeable by a removable cap located at the outermost end of this handle member. A bail is mounted on the cap and is to be connectable with the opposite handle member to lock the cutting shear in a closed position. One of the jaw members includes a cutting blade with the cutting blade having a cutting edge which is mounted non-parallel to its jaw member.
Abstract: A cuticle trimmer having a first cutter assembly, wherein pivotally mounted within the first and second cutter plates of the first cutter assembly is a second cutter assembly. The first cutter assembly terminates in concave blade edges for cooperation relative to one another, with the second cutter assembly having cooperative convex blade edges to accommodate various cuticle cutting conditions. A file plate is further employed mounted between the third and fourth cutter plates of the second cutter assembly.
Abstract: A mechanical hand tool converts random-sized boards or planks into small, uniformly sized pieces suitable for use as kindling wood for stoves, fireplaces, and campfires. The device as a whole works on the principle of pincers or nippers, comprising two handles connected by means of a series of pivots and levers to jaws carrying opposing splitter blades. The mechanical advantage of the tool is increased significantly by the compounding action of the multiple pivots such that the physical effort involved in applying the tool is minimized. The tool is applied by holding the work, consisting of any of a broad range of predetermined sizes, edge-up between the feet of a user, who stands erect and astride the board or plank as it lies on the floor or ground.
Abstract: A medical pill breaker comprising two complementary elongated members pivoted together intermediately of the opposite ends thereof, one end of the members being formed into at least a partial loop to comprise handles and opposite portions of the opposite ends of the members being concave and V-shaped in cross-section and comprising opposed members for breaking relatively lsrge pills, the opposite ends of the elongated members terminating in relatively shorter portions respectively V-shaped in cross-section and comprising breaking members for relatively smaller pills, and abutting portions on said elongated members comprising stop members to limit the closing of the V-shaped breaking members toward each other.
