Abstract: An electric trimmer has an electric motor and power source, a pair of blade plates, at least one of which is connected to an oscillator mechanism in the electric motor, and a pair of guard plates disposed one on each side of the at least one of the pair of blade plates, the guard plates hosting a matching radial or linear pattern of slots having a uniform spacing, a uniform slot width, the slots breaking out past at least one edge of the guard plates, the guard plates, in assembly, creating a gap space there between. One or more operators may insert branches having buds or flowers thereon through any one of the matching slots in the slot pattern, the branch oriented orthogonal to the blade set with the blade plates oscillating to harvest the buds or flowers within the gap space.
Abstract: A pair of long-arm gardening shears include a main body, a first casing, a second casing, a cutting blade assembly, a retaining member, a push button, and a spring. Thus, the angle between the cutting blade assembly and the main body is adjusted so that the length of the long-arm gardening shears is adjusted, thereby facilitating a user operating the long-arm gardening shears to shear the lawn at a lower height and the branches at a higher level. In addition, the use only needs to press the push button so as to rotate the cutting blade assembly and to release the push button so as to lock the cutting blade assembly, thereby facilitating the user adjusting the angles of the long-arm gardening shears.
Abstract: Arthroscopic cervical discectomy instruments include a push knob for a guide wire, a pair of telescopically mounted dilator tubes, one of which includes a water port so that the tube provides the additional function of an irrigation tube, a ligament cutter, a continuous suction punch, a cervical osteotone, a cervical cureet, a nucleus extractor and a cureet nucleus extractor. The dilator tubes, the ligament cutter, and the continuous suction punch are all centrally bored to receive the guide wire. All of the instruments are of arthroscopic proportions and each instrument, exclusive of its handle, is slidably insertable through the bore of the largest in diameter dilator tube. The largest in diameter dilator tube serves as a dilator, an irrigation tube, and as the main sheath through which the other tools are inserted.
Abstract: Scissors have a pair of pivotally interconnections blades and a ball-shaped handle. One embodiment has a pair transversely spaced, outwardly-convex, partly ball-shaped handle members at the rear end portions of the blades and an elastomeric member compressibly interposed between the handle members biasing the blades toward an open position. The handle members and elastomeric member have complementary, partly ball shapes providing an overall external configuration of a single ball. Another embodiment has a hollow, flexible ball completely covering and enclosing partially ball shaped handle members, the pivotal interconnections between the blades is concealed within the ball shaped covering, and a formed wire spring member is anchored at the interconnections and its opposite ends are seated against inner surfaces of the handle members. In each embodiment, manual squeezing pressure applied by a user's palm or fingers closes the blades against the bias of the elastomeric or wire spring member.
Abstract: A pair of manually operated de-ending shears for removing split ends. The shears float like shears but cut like clippers. The device includes a moving blade slidably mounted to a still blade and handle wherein a moving handle is provided for moving the moving blade through a cutting stroke. A spring pocketed by the blades provides the means for a reverse clipping stroke.
