  • Patent number: 11806222
Abstract: A method for accurately, rapidly and consistently cutting an opening in drape material for negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) uses a cutting device that includes a plurality of cutting members that can extend from a bottom surface of the cutting device. A cover may fit over the bottom to protect the cutting members. The cutting members may be positioned to define a cut-out shape having dimensions designed for use with a NPWT system. An adhesive material may be formed on the bottom surface of the cutting device, inside of the cut-out shape defined by the cutting members. In use, the user presses the cutting tool onto the drape to cause the cutting members to cut into the drape and the adhesive to stick to the drape. When the user lifts the device, the drape, cut to the correct size and shape, is removed from the foam dressing covering the wound.

  • Patent number: 4969269
Abstract: A device for punching cutouts through sheets of drywall or similar wall covering sheets that are typically installed on framing members to which utility boxes are mounted. A cutting assembly is removably mounted over the utility or electrical boxes and the cutting assembly has substantially the same projected contour of these boxes with a puncturing member that cuts through the drywall. A pulling assembly engages with the protruding end of the puncturing member and adapted to pull it, and the cutting assembly to which it is rigidly connected, thereby producing a cutout that substantially follows the contour of the utility box that needs to be exposed through the drywall.

  • Patent number: 4922615
Abstract: The punching tool of the subject invention has a handle and a hand grip which can be rotated to any position convenient for use, so that the punching operation can be performed easily, irrespective of the shape of the object being treated. The manual hydraulic pump of the tool is connected for rotation to one end of a tubular connector, while the other end of this tubular connector is connected to a hydraulic cylinder in such a manner that the tubular connector can be turned about an axis perpendicular to the axis of the hydraulic cylinder.

  • Patent number: 4905557
Abstract: The punch comprises peripheral cutting edges and lateral cutting edges. The peripheral edges cut a slug in the desired shape, for examples, rectangular, square, oval, trapezoidal, D and double D-shaped, etc. while the lateral edges cut transversely from one peripheral edge to an opposite peripheral edge, thereby splitting the slug. Lateral cutting edges provide a dividing line across the working face. Surfaces and cutting edges on each side of the dividing line are similar and canted at opposite angles. Lateral cutting edges and peripheral cutting edges at their juncture provide pyramidal cutting sections which initially pierce the workpiece and initiate lateral slug splitting. This split grows from the slug periphery toward the center. Splitting is complete before a substantial portion of the slug periphery is cut.

  • Patent number: 4823468
Abstract: A tool which has spacer sleeves displaceable on a center punch and hollow shafts are adjacent to one another is intended for rapidly and precisely finding the center of holes and the longitudinal center of slots and channels, so that center marks and linear scribes can be made. The spacer sleeves and the hollow shafts have different diameters, and the hollow shafts are inserted one into the other in telescopic form. When a hollow shaft is fittingly inserted into hole (5) or slot (5) the center of the former or the longitudinal center of the latter can reliably be found by the center punch for making center marks or linear scribes in the slots. The tool can also be used for producing center marks on shafts and pins.

  • Patent number: 4674187
Abstract: A pool light installation device is provided which quickly and easily cuts holes in the walls of above-ground pools. A cutting plate and a cutting base member are placed one on either side of the pool wall at the chosen location, joined together by a threaded bolt which passes through a small hole made previously in the pool wall. The threaded bolt is rotated by the use of a wrench or other tool causing the cutting plate to be drawn towards and into the cutting base member. The cutting plate has teeth formed therein which penetrate the pool wall and commence a shearing action between the cutting plate edge and the opening in the cutting base member, which then cuts a hole in the pool wall in the exact shape of the cutting plate.
