    Abstract: A concrete cutting saw is provided for the cutting of grooves in the surface of wet concrete. The concrete saw generally comprises a motor driven rotating cutting blade mounted on a support structure. The concrete saw is supported during cutting by wheels, and has a skid plate with a slot through which the rotating cutting blade passes to cut the concrete. The skid plate is movably attached to the concrete saw and resiliently urged against the concrete during cutting so that it remains in contact with the surface of the concrete surrounding the cutting blade during cutting. The skid plate is constrained into a bowed configuration so that it is substantially flat during cutting. A variable speed transmission is drivingly connected to the wheels to propel the saw across the concrete during cutting.

The fence comprises a base, a handle and a fastening mechanism. The base is shiftably affixed to the plate joiner body and has a planar surface forming a first fence oriented generally perpendicular to the plane of the cutter. The base also has a guideway parallel to the first fence. The handle is movably adjustably affixed to the base and has a grip portion adapted to cooperate with a hand of an operator and a planar surface forming a second fence forming an angle relative to the first fence. The handle cooperates with the base guideway enabling the second fence to be adjusted along a guideway axis parallel to the first fence relative to the planar cutter. The handle is pivotal about a transverse axis parallel to the first and second fences to vary the angle of the second fence relative to the first fence.

    Abstract: A portable electric cutting and scoring saw for use on laminated or veneer products is disclosed. The scoring saw is disposed in front of the cutting saw and turns in the opposite direction. The saw is designed primarily for the craftsman cabinet maker where the use of large industrial bench saws is not feasible. In one embodiment, the scoring saw cuts at a fixed depth and the cutting saw depth of cut can be varied by changing the blade with one of a different diameter. In another embodiment, the cutting and scoring saw depth of cut and angle of cut can be adjusted simultaneously with depth and tilt adjustments. In addition, in this embodiment, the saw motor can be easily removed and replaced with one of different horsepower and R.P.M. In yet another embodiment the electric motor has a battery power-pack attached thereto that can be readily recharged. The battery power-pack makes the portable electric cutting and scoring saw completely self contained.

    Abstract: A hand-guided power tool comprises a housing and a base plate mounted below the housing. The base plate is adapted to be juxtaposed with an object which has material to be removed therefrom. A tool element such as a reciprocable cutting blade extends through a slot formed in the base plate and is operative for removing material from the object with concomitant production of undesirable particulate material in the circumambient region of the element. A channel member is also mounted below the housing but at a distance from the base plate to thereby form a suction channel which is in communication with the circumambient region of the tool element and which is operative for removing and guiding the particulate material from the tool element.
