Abstract: A handle for a shaving razor in which the handle comprises a frame and a movable member assembly operably coupled to the frame such that the frame is disposed between the movable member assembly and where the movable member assembly portions are configured to move both above and below the frame. The movement can be linear or rotational. The movable member assembly comprises one or more springs. A razor handle includes a rigid member, a first member having one or more movable elements wherein a portion of the first member is connected to a first surface of the rigid member, a second member, the second member coupled to a second surface of the rigid member wherein a benefit delivery assembly is disposed in an area between the rigid member and the second member.

Abstract: A handle for a shaving razor is described in which the handle comprises a grip portion and a neck portion coupled to an end of the grip portion. The neck portion comprises a frame coupled to the end of the grip portion, the frame comprising a pin; a pod rotatably coupled to the frame, the pod defining an aperture to receive the pin of the frame, wherein the pod is configured to rotate about an axis substantially perpendicular to a length of the grip portion; and a spring coupled to the pod, wherein the spring generates a return torque when the pod is rotated.

Abstract: A razor handle having a handle body and a lock/release mechanism that includes two arms, each having a bearing for pivotally connecting a shaving head, the arms extending substantially symmetrically on both sides of a medial axis, the arms being elastically biased opposite to one another toward a head locking position wherein the bearings are adapted to pivotally bear the shaving head, and the arms being movable toward one another into a head release position wherein the bearings are adapted to release the shaving head. The razor handle also includes a plunger which is movable between the two arms, substantially parallel to the medial axis, and a spring biasing the plunger away from the handle body, such that the plunger is adapted to cooperate with a cam surface belonging to the shaving head for biasing the shaving head toward a rest position.

Abstract: Razors adapted to support a razor head during shaving while permitting the razor head to move relative to the razor in response to forces encountered during shaving. Preferred embodiments allow a razor head to swivel and also to pivot about an axis normal to a central axis of the razor and normal to an imaginary axis defined by the points of attachment of the razor to a razor head. According to another aspect, an engagement arm comprises a novel slot for controlling the movement of the engagement during shaving, as well as during loading/unloading of a razor head. Embodiments of this invention enable the razor head to maintain optimum shave relation with the skin regardless of the angular differences between the cartridge head, razor handle/grip and shaving motion during shaving.

Abstract: A shaving system includes a replaceable shaving cartridge and a shaving razor handle. The replaceable shaving cartridge has a housing carrying blades, a guard, a cap, and a camming surface. The cartridge includes an interconnect member having a pivotal support structure that pivotally supports the housing and a base structure adapted to be removably and fixedly attached to the handle. A shaving razor handle has an elongated hand gripping structure and a cartridge support structure extending from an end of the hand gripping structure. The cartridge support structure has an extension with outer side surfaces that mate with inwardly directed surfaces of a recess on the cartridge and an end surface with an opening. The extension has an asymmetrical shape to ensure proper orientation. A spring-biased plunger is retained in the cartridge support structure and extends through the opening of the cartridge support structure.
