Abstract: A wheel includes a rim, and a disc by which the wheel is attached to a hub. The disc is attached to the rim by generally axially extending fasteners each of which passes through a respective opening of the disc and is received in a respective generally axially extending passage of a connection member. Tolerances in the openings of the disc and/or the passages of the connection member or members and/or the fasteners permit variation in the position of the disc relative to the rim. At least two indicators are provided, the positions of which are fixed with respect to the rim. Each indicator may be aligned with a corresponding additional opening in the disc.
Abstract: A programmable electronic engine controller includes customer programmable engine and vehicle operating parameters. A communications device is connectable to said engine controller. Stored in the communications device are a predetermined set of parameters. The communications device downloads the engine and vehicle operating parameters that are present in the engine controller, compares those values to corresponding predetermined parameters, and prints an exception report based on that comparison.
Abstract: A circuit and its connecting structure assembly provided in a motorcar door includes an inner unit being able to joint to a door panel, and an arm rest unit attached on the inner unit. The inner unit has an inner panel provided with a circuit, a plurality of auxiliary components connected to the circuit, and an integrated connector section. The arm rest unit includes a connector portion corresponding to the integrated connector section, a control circuit board connected to the connector portion and to a switch section for the auxiliary components, a circuit provided in the arm rest body and connected to the control circuit board, and an optional switch connected to the circuit. In the optional switches connected to the circuit provided in the arm rest unit, software replacement of the control circuit board can change the functions of the optional switches.
Abstract: A multi-piece, non-take-apart vehicle wheel disc and rim assembly and method of making the same. The wheel rim has a disc mounting flange extending radially inwardly of the rim which radially overlaps the disc. The disc and rim are each finish formed prior to assembly and each have a set of assembly-mounting holes extending parallel to the wheel axis which are generally registered in initial assembly. One assembly hole set is preformed slightly larger in diameter that the other. The rim is fixture on an assembly apparatus to orient the average axis of the rim bead seats on a predetermined first axis of the apparatus. Then the disc is placed loosely on the rim with the sets of disc and rim assembly holes generally registered.
Abstract: A compound resin wheel with two or more moldings integrated to form the resin wheel, wherein at least one of the two or more moldings made of a long fiber reinforced thermoplastic resin, the other molding or moldings made of metal and/or FRP.
Abstract: A composite vehicular wheel having inner and outer sides, having a hub with a peripheral circumference, and a wheel rim having a tire attachment surface, and a recessed base with inner and outer ends and having a flange at its outer end at a substantially right angle to the base, the wheel rim being releasably attached along respective contact surfaces to the hub, and means on the outer side of the flange for attaching the wheel rim to the hub, the peripheral circumference of the hub conformingly matingly adjoins an axially disposed transitional surface on the inner side of the recessed base of the wheel rim, the transitional surface having a flat hump and extends from the inner side of the flange of the recessed base to an edge of the tire attachment surface.
