    Abstract: Provided are: vent pieces, which can easily be added later and with which the occurrence of spew can be suppressed without restriction in the locations where the vent pieces can be orderly arranged in vulcanized molding of a pneumatic tire; and a manufacturing method for pneumatic tire in which vulcanization molding of a raw cover is performed by using a vulcanization mold in which said vent piece has been embedded. A vent piece, which is used by being embedded in a prepared hole for air vent provided on the inner surface of a pneumatic tire vulcanization mold, is a cylinder without a hole in the axial direction and is configured to perform air vent from a gap formed between the vent piece and the side surface of the prepared hole. A vent piece has a saw cut extending in the axial direction formed on the side surface of the cylinder.

Moreover, each wing typically comprises a wedge shape body having a set of engagement peaks for inserting and securing the wings between the tire and the wheel.

    Abstract: A wheel and tire assembly for recreational vehicles, such as mountainboards, motorized carts and pedaled carts is provided. The tire comprises a tire made of substantially inelastic material that will not stretch under a load. Thus, the tire will flatten under a load to provide a high level of traction on soft and irregular surfaces, as well as on hard and flat surfaces. The tire includes protrusions on its inner diameter surface for securely engaging the wheel. The wheel includes a rim that supports the tire and includes protrusions for engaging the protrusions of the tire in an interdigitating manner. The interdigitating engagement of the protrusions on the tire with the protrusions on the wheel prevents slippage and rotation of the tire relative to the wheel. The wheel also includes support flanges that extend radially inward from the rim in order to protect the tire from damage as the tire deforms under a load.

In addition to an exterior shield for tires such as motor vehicles, the tire shield covers both sides of a tire, such as for a motorcycle. The material used would have abrasion resistance properties.

    Abstract: The invention is a structure for reducing the thermal signature of an assembly on a vehicle that includes a hub, a wheel on the hub and a tire on the wheel. The structure comprises a generally planar cover disposed outboard of the assembly so that an air gap is between the cover and the assembly. A set of multifunctional elements lock the wheel to the hub, space the cover from the wheel and help retain the cover in connection with the wheel. In one embodiment, the cover is an eccentric, lobed sheet metal member that completely eclipses the wheel and partly eclipses the tire from a point of view outboard of the vehicle. In another embodiment, the cover has an inner unit comprised of metal plates having an insulating disk therebetween and further comprises a flexible flange encircling the inner unit.
