    Abstract: An automobile wheel having a hub and a cap assembly configured to removably attach to the hub is provided herein. The cap assembly includes a base component, a lug hole cover, and a center cap. The base component is removably coupled to the hub, and includes a cylindrical portion with an outer threaded surface that extends outward from the hub when the base component is coupled to the hub. The lug hole cover removably fits over the cylindrical portion of the base component to cover the plurality of lug hole openings of the hub. Additionally, the center cap is removably coupled to the base component and retain the lug hole cover against the hub.

The universal wheel cover assembly comprises: (a) a covering disc sized to cover the vehicle's wheel, (b) a universal bolt pattern plate, the universal bolt pattern plate including (i) a series of sections, each of the sections having a plurality of engagement members, wherein the sections are adapted for matching a pattern of threaded rods welded on the vehicle's axle hub used for attaching the vehicle's wheel, and (ii) a retaining system for connecting the universal bolt pattern plate to the covering disc, and (c) a spring biasing base comprising of a plurality of coil units, each coil unit for coupling one bolt in the pattern of bolts to the engagement members of the universal bolt pattern plate. The removable wheel cover assembly may be used in a variety of different vehicle tire rims and is aesthetically pleasing.

The system provides a single wheel that may be used on several different hub arrangements having different bolt circles. The system includes a lug nut having a washer section and a bushing section with a threaded internal diameter. The washer section has a diameter smaller than a diameter of the recess, and the washer section of the lug nut fits into the recess and the bushing section of the lug nut fits into the hole.

    Abstract: A wheel liner system for attaching a wheel liner to a wheel of a vehicle having a mounting surface and lug nuts engaging lugs adjacent the mounting surface. The wheel liner has an annular peripheral portion with an inner perimeter, and a center portion with a step sidewall extending from the inner perimeter to a plateau having a plurality of holes which receive the lug nuts. The plateau is preferably spaced from the mounting surface to position the plurality of holes adjacent corner portions of the lug nuts, which enables the wheel liner to transitionally contact and support the corner portions of the lug nuts during installation. Preferably the wheel liner is releasably secured to the wheel using a hub cover having a deck portion with at least two apertures and an outer skirt extending below the deck portion. The outer skirt matingly abuts and surrounds the step sidewall of the wheel liner to center the hub cover and the wheel liner relative to each other.
