Abstract: A rim for a braked aircraft wheel includes an outer circular portion whose ends are terminated flanges for receiving a tire. The outer circular portion is connected by a wheel disk to a hub for fitting on an undercarriage axle in order to rotate about an axis of rotation coinciding with a central axis of the rim. The rim is designed to receive the tire on the outside of the outer circular portion and a brake on the inside of the outer circular portion, the outer circular portion presenting on one side of the wheel disk that is to receive the brake, in a plane containing the central axis of the wheel, a profile that has two slopes forming non-zero angles with the central axis, the two slopes extending in the continuation of one another from the wheel disk to the corresponding flange and flaring towards said corresponding flange.

Abstract: An integrally formed wheel for cooling a brake assembly of a vehicle, comprising a barrel for mounting a tire thereon, a center disc, and a plurality of spokes. The barrel extends from an outboard face to an inboard rim edge and defines a chamber radially inside the barrel. The chamber is located adjacent a brake mechanism when the wheel is on a vehicle. The center disc has a center bore and a plurality of lug holes. A plurality of spokes interconnects the center disc to the barrel. A plurality of cooling passageways is integrally formed with the barrel, the spokes and the center disc. The plurality of passageways is disposed circumferentially around the spokes and extend from the outboard face to a location inside the barrel to direct air into the chamber through the passageways when the wheel is in rotation.

Abstract: A bicycle brake apparatus comprises a securing bracket with an axle opening dimensioned to receive a bicycle wheel hub axle therethrough, a braked member that has a braking surface and is adapted to rotate with a bicycle wheel hub rotatably supported by the hub axle, a braking member adapted to contact the braking surface, and an operating unit that selectively causes the braking member to contact the braking surface. A locking unit is structured for attachment to the securing bracket, wherein the locking unit extends in an axial direction of the hub axle and is dimensioned to nonrotatably engage the bicycle frame radially inwardly of a rotating portion of the brake apparatus.

Abstract: A wheel support for providing a connection, rotatable about an axis (S), between a wheel of a vehicle which can be braked by a disk brake and the stub axle (6) of the vehicle comprises a bell (24) suitable for supporting a braking band (25) and a connection flange (14) for the connection of the vehicle wheel. The bell (24) and the connection flange (14) are formed integrally, constituting a single body (2) which can be connected rotatably and releasably to the stub axle (6) of the vehicle.

Abstract: A mount bracket attached to a vehicle body is formed by pressing a metal plate to constitute a structure substantially in a shape of a flat plate having a circular plate portion overlapping a circular disc portion of a backing plate and a flange portion extended from an outer periphery of the circular plate portion as a portion attached to the vehicle body. A pair of brake shoes, a shoe drive mechanism and an anchor pin are constituted to be directly attached to the circular plate portion of the mount bracket without interposing the backing plate.
