Including Intermediate Material Or Member Between Disc Members Patents (Class 301/64.306)
  • Patent number: 11198321
Abstract: The disclosure provides a wheel, drive wheel and wheel chair. The wheel includes an annular rim and a disk covering the rim on one side in an axial direction of the rim. The disk of the wheel includes a skin and a cushion member. The skin is formed of a fiber-reinforced material. The cushion member includes a cushion part and a shape retaining part. The cushion part is formed of a shock absorbing material and is disposed adjacent to the skin. The shape retaining part is formed of a fiber-reinforced material and is disposed adjacent to the cushion part.

  • Patent number: 10279622
Abstract: A one-piece composite wheel has a disc core made from a three-dimensionally reinforced honeycomb structure, with the disc core embedded by a composite material to form a disc section of the wheel. The composite material also forms the rim of the wheel, with the rim being integral with the disc section.

  • Patent number: 9688096
Abstract: In a disk wheel, a metal insert member is embedded in a resinous bolt-fastening part having a bolt hole. The insert member includes: an opposing surface which is opposed to a resin member of the bolt-fastening part; a bonding area a bonded to the resin member within the opposing surface; and a non-bonding area within the opposing surface. The non-bonding area is not bonded to the resin member, but extends from the bonding area so as to receive a load generated when the resin member deforms. It is thereby possible to provide a technique to effectively suppress the influence of residual stress remained after molding of the resin member of the bolt-fastening part, and to ensure the strength required for the bolt-fastening part.

  • Patent number: 9061543
Abstract: A wheel hub includes a wheel rim and a support. The wheel rim has an inner rim surface, an outer rim surface and a connection concave. The wheel rim is composed of a metallic layer and a carbon fiber layer. The outer rim surface has an outer wall to be the metallic layer. The wheel hub is composed of the metallic layer and the carbon fiber layer. Compared to the conventional wheel hub made of a single metallic material or a carbon fiber material, the wheel hub made of metal and carbon fiber of the present invention is light in weight, endurable, and cost-effective. The outer wall of the outer rim surface of the conventional wheel hub is easily to be damaged by an external force when in use, which result in a break of the carbon fiber to lose the strength of the carbon fiber.

  • Patent number: 8491063
Abstract: The invention relates to a wheel rim for a motor vehicle which can be economically manufactured, with a wheel disc made of steel sheet and a rim flap running around the circumference of the wheel disc. Due to the fact that the steel sheet of the wheel disc is formed from at least three superimposed steel layers, joined to one another by roll-bonding in a non-detachable manner, of which the inner core layer has a lower strength than the outer layers, it is thereby guaranteed that the wheel rim according to the invention, with a low weight, can safely accommodate the forces arising in practical operation.
