  • Patent number: 11583104
Abstract: An adjustable child carrier includes an adjustable bucket seat that can be adjusted to accommodate children of a wide range of sizes. The child carrier includes one or more adjustments that work alone or in cooperation to adjust the depth and width of the bucket seat area provided by the child carrier. The carrier is capable of supporting children of various sizes in an ergonomic position appropriate for the child's size.

  • Patent number: 5721683
Abstract: A system for electronically controlling brakes on a train is responsive to a brake handle positionable into any one of a plurality of discrete positions. The discrete brake control system includes a cab station unit, a brake control unit, a comm channel and a direct communication device. The cab station unit generates both a base signal stream and a dedicated signal stream. The base signal stream is indicative of parameters for operating the system including the discrete brake handle positions. The dedicated signal stream is solely indicative of the discrete brake handle positions. The brake control unit controls operation of the brakes in coordinated response to both the base and the dedicated signal streams. The comm channel is the route through which the base signal stream is communicated from the cab station unit to the brake control unit.

  • Patent number: 5503469
Abstract: A microporccessor based electro-pnuematic brake control system for a railway train including both an automatic brake control system and an independent brake control system, in which the independent brake control system includes an application electro-pneumatic valve to control application of air pressure to locomotive brake cylinders in response to an application control signal, and a release electro-pneumatic valve to control release of air pressure from the locomotive brake cylinders in response to a release brake control signal.

  • Patent number: 4645270
Abstract: A vehicle brake system for an arrangement having a prime mover and at least one tandem trailer. The system includes a respective sub-system for the prime mover and each tandem trailer and each sub-system has a plurality of spring brakes which are held out of a park mode by pressurized air in a hold-back chamber and are caused to operate in a normal manner by pressurized air supplied to a service chamber. Each sub-system includes a service relay valve which is operable to connect pressurized air with the service chambers of the respective spring brakes and the prime mover sub-system includes a control relay valve which is operable to cause operation of the service relay valves of that sub-system and the adjacent tandem trailer sub-system. If there are two or more tandem trailers, each tandem trailer sub-system apart from the last includes a control relay valve and each succeeding control relay valve is operated as a consequence of operation of the control relay valve of the respective preceding sub-system.

  • Patent number: 4509801
Abstract: A fluid pressure brake control system of the direct release type for a freight locomotive comprises a first pipe bracket having a manually controllable automatic brake valve device connected thereto on one side for governing fluid brake control pressure in a train pipe, and a manually controllable independent brake valve device is connected on another side of the bracket for governing brakes of the locomotive independent of brakes of freight cars in a train. There is a locomotive brake control valve device comprising a second pipe bracket having a service valve portion secured to one side thereof corresponding to a service valve portion such as is conventionally used on freight car control valve devices. A quick release and emergency valve portion is secured to another side of the second pipe bracket for governing emergency brake pressure and for governing independent direct release of brakes of a locomotive in response to actuation of the manually controllable independent brake valve device.

  • Patent number: 4052109
Abstract: An air brake system for a vehicle includes both automatic braking and direct braking. The equipment for direct braking requires the installation of a main air reservoir pipe in the longitudinal direction of a train. A single pipe serves both as the brake pipe for automatic braking and as the main air reservoir pipe for direct braking. A control valve for automatic braking is connected to the air pipe via a pressure-adjust valve for adjusting the pressure of the air supplied to the control valve to a specified value, and via a check valve arranged parallel thereto. An air pipe supplying the pressure from the control valve to the brake cylinder and an air pipe supplying the pressure from the direct brake equipment to the brake cylinder are respectively connected to the brake cylinder via a double check valve.
