Longitudinally Outwardly Biased By Coil Spring Only Patents (Class 305/152)
  • Patent number: 12012175
Abstract: A snow vehicle, comprising a frame (102, 202), and to the frame (102, 202) operationally connected track system for moving the snow vehicle on the snow, which track system comprises a track (110, 210), and a slide rail (216) for slid-ing of the track, the snow vehicle further comprising a suspension structure (120) for attenuating impacts to the track system of the snow vehicle, which suspension system (120) comprises one or more suspension members (128). The suspension member (128) it at least partially arranged in the space between the track (110) and the frame (102).

  • Patent number: 8523298
Abstract: In a tracklaying gear with a frame having an idler wheel linear guide in which at least one guide piece holding the idler wheel axle is movable, and on which a tensioning means of a tensioning device supported in the frame can act in the guidance direction, at least one mechanically guided and centered elastomer spring body is installed to bulge under axial compression, such that the spring body can be readjusted, the elastomer spring body consisting of an elastomer material largely incompressible as a spring.

  • Patent number: 7229140
Abstract: A pretensioned spring track tensioning system provides a two stage loading of a tension roller on the interior of a vehicle drive track. The two stage loading first loads the track under a lower tension load for normal operation, but when the track is highly loaded, such as when digging, or when debris is forced between the track member and its drive sprocket or guide rollers, the compression of the lighter spring will be stopped mechanically and a second heavier compression spring will provide the tension loading. The additional spring tension under unusual conditions prevents detracking of the track and buckling of the track. A lighter tension load during normal operations reduces the loads on bearings, particularly in relation to a drive motor. The tensioning system has particular adaptability to “high” drive type tracks which have a drive sprocket elevated above the tension roller.

  • Patent number: 6517173
Abstract: An endless track system for providing a plurality of rigid grouser members attached about the exterior surface of a rubber track. The inventive device includes an endless rubber track having an outer surface and an inner surface, a plurality of gripping members attached to the outer surface of the endless track, and a plurality of inner members attached to the inner surface of the endless track and to the gripping members. Each of the inner members is comprised of an elongate support member with a pair of opposing side walls attached orthogonally to. The gripping members are preferably comprised of a center member surrounded by an outer coating. The outer coating may be comprised of any plastic or rubber material for reducing damage to surfaces traveled upon. The gripping members are preferably attached to the inner members by a plurality of fasteners that extend through the endless rubber track.

  • Patent number: 6283239
Abstract: A disclosed auxiliary brake apparatus of a hybrid automobile includes a braking detector for detecting an operation of braking the hybrid automobile, an auxiliary brake electric motor capable of braking the hybrid automobile, and an auxiliary brake controller capable of controlling the auxiliary brake electric motor. The auxiliary brake controller controls the auxiliary brake electric motor to generate a counter torque in the auxiliary brake electric motor to thereby brake the hybrid automobile in accordance with the operation of braking the hybrid automobile detected by the braking detector when the controller determines that a failure occurs to the electric powered brake of the hybrid automobile.

  • Patent number: 5851058
Abstract: A tensioning device has an inner end plate mounted on a frame, a sleeve fixed to the end plate and extending along an axis toward an idler wheel over which is spanned a flexible endless element (e.g. a drive chain or conveyor belt), and an axially compressible stack of inner and outer spring rings. The stack is closely surrounded by the sleeve, forms an annular friction spring, and has one end bearing axially on the plate and an opposite end. An outer end plate bears axially toward the frame end plate on the opposite end of the annular friction spring, and a hydraulic unit is braced axially between the outer end plate and the idler wheel. The inner spring rings have substantially frustoconical outer surfaces and the outer spring rings have substantially frustoconical inner surfaces engaging the outer surfaces of the inner rings.
