Ac And Dc Patents (Class 307/26)
  • Patent number: 5283474
Abstract: A circuit of a detection switch for generating an output signal for driving a load device in accordance with the detection result by a detector is composed with a reduced number of components externally attached to an IC substrate which mounts integrally main circuit units such as a power source circuit unit, a detection circuit unit and an output circuit unit. The output circuit unit comprises a comparator which compares a judgment signal from the detection circuit unit with a reference signal when the load device is driven by DC power, or compares the voltage of an external DC power source with a predetermined voltage when the device driven by AC power, and an output driver which generates a driving signal for the load device in response to the output signal from the comparator. The detection circuit unit produces the judgment signal only when either the output circuit unit or the power source circuit unit is active.

  • Patent number: 5270577
Abstract: An input module used in a factory automation apparatus, which is constituted by a bidirectional conduction circuit for connecting to an AC power source or DC power source with both plus or minus common line, a constant current circuit for supplying constant current, and a load circuit accepting the constant current. When the voltage range is less wide, a bidirectional conduction circuit and a filter circuit are used.

  • Patent number: 4740883
Abstract: A universal solid state power controller for controlling the application of a source voltage to a load comprising a semiconductor switch having a predetermined non-bounce switching characteristic. The switch is responsive to an operating signal for connecting the load to the source voltage. A control means has a microcomputer following a predetermined program. The control means is responsive to a command electrical signal and provides the semiconductor switching means operating signal. The microcomputer program has an ac subprogram for SSPC operation with a source voltage of sinusoidal character and a dc subprogram for SSPC operation with a source voltage of direct current character. A voltage selection circuit provides a logic signal of a first polarity to the microcomputer to direct the microcomputer to use the ac subprogram for SSPC operation with an ac source. The logic signal has a second polarity to direct the microcomputer to use the SSPC dc subprogram for operation with a dc source.

  • Patent number: 4326133
Abstract: A control circuit for alternately actuating a pair of loads includes a voltage doubling circuit having a capacitor common to a pair of charge storage devices and switch means which are alternately actuated to discharge the charge storage devices through a pair of loads. Coupled to the circuit is a holding current power supply for maintaining the loads in an actuated position once the charge storage devices are discharged. The circuit thus provides an initially high current pulse for rapidly actuating inductive loads such as solenoids.

  • Patent number: 4303875
Abstract: A device for the remote control of the angular position of an aerial rotor comprising a d.c. motor for the rotation of the rotor and a drive circuit adapted to cause the rotation of the motor in one direction when it receives as input a d.c. voltage higher than a reference value and in the opposite direction when it receives as input a d.c. voltage lower than the reference value. The device provides for a feeder, in proximity of the receiver, for generating at least one d.c. control voltage and comprising a regulator of the value of the voltage as a function of the desired angular position of the rotor of the aerial, and a regulator and stabilizor of the d.c. control voltage, located in proximity of the drive circuit of the motor, to obtain from the d.c. control voltage a stabilized constant voltage of a value lower than the minimum value of the d.c. control voltage, for the feeding of the drive circuit and the motor.

  • Patent number: 4017845
Abstract: A transmission line having a pair of wires enclosed in a shield is used to simultaneously transmit high frequency signals and low frequency power between distant locations. At the sending end of the line a high frequency source is connected between the first and second wires by circuitry which prevents the low frequency power from being coupled into the high frequency source. A low frequency power supply is connected between the shield and both of the wires by circuitry which prevents the high frequency signals from being coupled into the low frequency supply. At the receiving end of the transmission line circuitry is provided which separates the high frequency signals from the low frequency power.
