Abstract: A vibration actuator includes a coil that extends in a vibration direction and has a flat shape and a magnet that extends in the vibration direction and has a flat shape, so that a case can be made flat or low profile. A weight portion is supported by a shaft, so that, when a drop impact is applied, the weight portion can move along the shaft and the weight portion is not freely moved in the case. A coil spring is disposed between a spring receiving portion and a weight portion. Therefore there is no unnecessary space in the case, so that space can be saved and the vibration actuator can be made compact.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a linear vibration motor. The motor includes a stator and a vibrator. The stator includes a magnet. The vibrator includes a coil facing the magnet. A weight is coupled to the coil. A PCB is connected to the coil and the stator. An elastic member is coupled to stator and the coil. A damper is provided on the weight at a position facing the elastic member. The damper may be provided between the elastic member and the weight or between the elastic member and the inner surface of a casing. The damper can mitigate metallic high frequency noise attributable to friction between the elastic member and the weight or between the elastic member and the casing. Furthermore, the spatial utilization is increased, thereby enhancing the degree of freedom in designing the linear vibration motor.

Abstract: Provided is a vibration actuator the amplitude of which is increased without reducing the number and width of arms, even in a structure that supports a magnetic circuit section by a single suspension. Both increased amplitude and stabilized vibrating properties are achieved by using a structure in which the middle part of each arm of a suspension is provided with a bent portion in the planar direction, and the metal fatigue of the suspension produced when vibrating is reduced by incorporating the suspension in a state in which the suspension is deformed in advance in an expansion/contraction direction (i.e. the vibrating direction of said magnetic circuit section). Additionally, these advantages, which extend the life of the whole component, allow the component to be environmentally friendly.

Abstract: An elastic support member that supports a vibrator includes a first elastic deformation portion and a second elastic deformation portion that are integrally formed from a leaf spring material. When the first elastic deformation portion bending-deforms in an X direction, the vibrator vibrates in the X direction. When the second elastic deformation portion bending-deforms in a Z direction, the vibrator vibrates in the Z direction. The elastic modulus of the second elastic deformation portion is higher than the elastic modulus of the first elastic deformation portion. A magnetic core and a coil are provided in the vibrator, and a magnet is provided on the case side. Driving signals of different frequencies are applied to the coil, and the vibrator resonates at a low vibration frequency in the X direction that is a first direction and resonates at a high vibration frequency in the Z direction that is a second direction.
