Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods for visual displays are described. Such visual displays may be used in a retail environment to provide interactive presentations to customers. The visual displays may include a display panel, a visual source, and a controller. The display panel may present images and/or video to a user, in which the images and/or video are generated by the visual source. The controller may determine the types of images and/or video to be presented based upon communications received from a user via a communication device or a user kiosk. The display panel may be a variable height and may be offset from the floor or a shelf by a variable distance. A plurality of display panels may be arranged on a display floor to provide retail experiences to customers and/or may be received by one or more docks placed in the display floor.

Abstract: Apparatus and methods for assembling, installing, and operating a manually operated gate (e.g., a safety gate) are provided. The manually operated safety gate can include a gate frame and a spring assembly. The gate frame can include a proximal upright member, a distal upright member, an upper arm, and a lower arm. The proximal upright member can be anchored to a stationary surface. The upper arm and lower arm can be pivotably coupled to the proximal upright member and distal upright member to form a parallelogram. The manually operated gate can be configured to pivot between an open position and a closed position at a constant angular velocity. The gate can freely pivot to the closed position from a self-close position. A kit can contain the required structural components and instructions and can be used to assemble the manually operated gate assembly.

Abstract: A variable capsule-shaped hot-air bath apparatus, includes: a first hot-air bath including a first cover covering and protecting an upper part thereof, a first film heater attached to a lower part of the first cover, a first frame attached and fixed to a circumference of one side of the lower part of the first cover and formed in a U-shape, legs coupled to the lower part of one side of the first frame, and wheels coupled to lower parts of the legs; and a second hot-air bath including a second cover covering and protecting an upper part thereof, a second film heater attached to a lower part of the second cover, a second frame attached and fixed to a circumference of one side of the lower part of the second cover, rail parts mounted on and fixed to inner sides of both sides of the second frame for smooth movement.

Abstract: A portable baggage compartment that will fit snugly within the confines of a passenger airplane and conform to the shape of the plane's interior curvature is contemplated by this device. The device will be made from suitable material that can be securely fastened to the interior compartment of an airplane. The device will comply with all Government regulations and will be comprised of a series of compartments that can be used to stow material.

Abstract: A laundry treating apparatus is provided that may include a cabinet having an introduction port for introduction of laundry and an opening that communicates with an outside of the cabinet, a tub arranged in the cabinet and provided with a tub introduction port that communicates with the introduction port, and a detergent supply module that stores a detergent and provides the stored detergent to the tub, the detergent supply module being detachably provided at the opening.

Abstract: A device for sliding door leaves with co-planar closure, particularly for furniture and the like, including a bracket system for connection to each one of the door leaves and with which a first pair of wheels is associated in a lower region. The device includes a second pair of wheels which are, together with the first pair of wheels, slideably engaged with the head respectively of a first guide and of a second guide which are T-shaped in cross-section, arc-shaped in plan view and the stem of which protrudes from the top of the piece of furniture.

Abstract: A press brake tool cabinet with a downward opening transparent door. The door included a number of rectangular polycarbonate slats in frame members. The cabinet included a frame assembly and a number of drawers. Left and right door track systems are connected to the cabinet, and the door moves from an upper closed position in front of the drawers to an open position beneath and behind the drawers. Stop plates defined the position of the door in the open position and hanger plates supported and retained the door in the upper closed position.

Abstract: A merchandising system that improves the merchandising of product by limiting the number and the frequency with which product can be removed from, for example, a merchandising shelf. The merchandising system may include a base configured to support product and a housing configured to engage the base. The housing may comprise a top wall, a first side wall, a second side wall, and a front retaining wall. The merchandise system may be configured to hold a number of products, such as cans (for example, baby formula cans) in the merchandise system that would be accessible to the customer one at a time out of the front of the merchandise system. The front of each merchandise system may include its own individual security window attached to the merchandise system that allows the customer to remove one can at a time.

Abstract: A merchandiser including a case defining a product display area for supporting and displaying food product. The case includes a case frame having at least one mullion that defines an opening into the product display area. A door is positioned over the opening and is pivotably coupled to the case frame for movement between a closed position and an open position. A door hold open mechanism includes a housing attached to one of the mullion and the door, while the other of the mullion and the door defines a channel. The door hold open mechanism further includes an engagement member outwardly biased from the housing and is engageable with the other of the mullion and the door within the channel to hold the door in the open position to provide access to the product display area.

Abstract: In an acceleration and deceleration device which includes at least one energy storage device and a cylinder with at least one piston movably disposed in the cylinder and moved therein by a carrier element and a sliding door including a slidable door panel provided with an acceleration and deceleration device, a second carrier element is provided guiding either the first piston or the second piston for movement in the cylinder so as to control the movement of pistons and of the sliding door near its end positions.

Abstract: A retail product display system 72, comprising a retail product drawer 20 slideable between a closed position and an open position, a demonstration product locator 30 arranged at the front of the retail product drawer 20 and movable between two extreme positions respectively an inclined display position and a horizontal display position, wherein the system is arranged for allowing the demonstration product locator 30 to be in the inclined display position when the retail product drawer 20 is in the closed position and for allowing the demonstration product locator 30 to be in the horizontal display position when the retail product drawer 20 is in the open position. The invention makes it possible to offer greater space for accommodating demonstration products or displaying information with easy access to the retail product for purchase by the customer.

Abstract: A system having an adjustable pivot length assist mechanism for a cover or door of an enclosure. Adjusting lengths of a link may change a differential ratio of mechanical advantage in that a small change in the force transfer link length yields a large change in the gas spring load for a given force at the other end of the link. The mechanism may utilize one or more gas springs. One end of a spring may be connected to a bellcrank rotatable on a shaft attached to a portion of a hinge secured to the enclosure. Another portion of the hinge may be attached to and support the door relative to the enclosure. Attached to another location on the bellcrank may be a force transfer link connected to a lever attached to a door portion of the hinge. The force transfer link may have a length adjustment. At least one end of each of the one or more gas springs may have two-dimensional movement.

Abstract: A storage cabinet comprises: a container having a floor, upright side walls and a rear wall attached to and extending upwardly from the floor, and a ceiling attached to the side walls and rear wall, the floor, side walls, rear wall, and ceiling defining a storage cavity; a vertical support member extending upwardly from the floor; at least one door pivotally attached to one of the side walls and movable between an open position, in which the cavity is accessible from a position forward thereof, and a closed position, in which the door contacts the support member and prevents access to the cavity from a position forward thereof; and a latching mechanism attached to the support member. The latching mechanism includes two release members protruding forwardly from the support member, wherein an upper one of the release members is positioned above a lower one of the release members.

Abstract: There is provided a simply-structured showcase which can lock a door without damaging an appearance. The showcase comprises a door pivotally supported on one side of an opening of a display room constituted in a main body to close the opening to be freely opened, main body side key metal fittings rotatably mounted to a surface of the door side of the main body on the other side of the opening, and door side key metal fittings rotatably mounted to a surface of the main body side on a non-pivotal support side of the door. The key metal fittings comprise through-holes for lock insertion, and are usually positioned in a space between the main body and the door. Portions in which the through-holes are positioned are protruded outward from the space in a rotated state, and the through-holes match each other in the state.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a hidden door hinge that is hingedly coupled to an outer door of a vending machine for the purpose of securing the vending machine and to prevent theft and vandalism. The present invention prevents unauthorized access to the interior of a vending machine by providing a hinging system that is used to attach the outer door to the cabinet of the vending machine. The hinging system provides a hinge having a pivot that is supported by an arching member that allows a portion of the outer door to swing within the hinge itself. The outer door has a small cutout at the hinge area through which the hinge passes. The small cutout is covered by the cabinet and not accessible from outside the vending machine. Hinge pins allowing the hinge to pivot are located on the inside of the outer door. The door can be nestled in the cabinet to strengthen the cabinet frame and improve security for the vending machine.

Abstract: The showcase includes a closure mechanism which compresses a seal by pulling the door panels against the main frame from inside. To this aim, a closure rod is mounted to the main frame which has alternating segments with expanded and contracted cross-sections, and a plurality of binding elements are mounted to the door panel for engagement by the rod. Each binding element has a rod-receiving socket of sufficient width to accommodate the expanded cross-section segments of the rod; the socket is formed with a side gap for admitting the rod whose width allows the contracted cross-section segments of the rod therethrough but not the its expanded cross-section segments.

Abstract: An improved outdoor illuminated display device. The device generally comprises a modular housing, a base member and a plurality of lights positioned in the housing--either horizontally or vertically. A plurality of display modules are positioned on the housing and backlit by the lights. A door member is pivotally connected along its upper edge to the housing covering the modules. A pair of gas-assisted spring members are provided between the door member and the housing. Air gaps or air vents are provided in order to allow air circulation in the housing. A second member above the door member is provided for holding and displaying posters and other advertising and promotional materials. A plurality of clamping members hold the display materials in place. The second member can be illuminated or non-illuminated. Various modular units can be provided to increase the size and display space provided by the device.

Abstract: A display case having a tubular framework with a display window pivotally mounted thereto has a lifting and supporting mechanism for the display window including a strut member having a rod end and a cylinder end. A hinge is pivotally mounted to the cylinder and is adapted to be secured to the display window. A strut body slidably receives a strut member and hinge thereon. A retention arrangement pivotally connects the rod end of the strut and the hinge to the strut body so as to define a strut module which is slidable into and out of the tubular framework of the display case.

Abstract: The invention relates to a closure device for cabinet doors and drawers, which serves in particular as securement against unauthorized actuation by children. On the outside of a cabinet door or drawer, two push-buttons are herein provided the spacing of which from each other is greater than the distance which can be bridged by the hand of a child. Only if both push-buttons are actuated can the cabinet door or drawer be opened.

Abstract: A cabinet for displaying objects comprises a top part (1) resting on an under part and which consists of a top face, a rear side (3), left (4) and right (6) sides, a bottom face (10) and a front side (5) consisting of a glass sheet (25) pivotally fitted on the top face (9) to swing upwardly. The glass sheet (25) is surrounded by a frame (11) on all sides. In the region of the front side (5) a gas spring (13) is rotatably attached to the bottom face (10) in the region of each of the left (4) and right (6) sides and acts in the region of the middle of the frame (11). The pivoting movement of the front side (5) is effected by screw jacks (14) acting above each of the gas springs (13) and driven by electric motors. Synchronous operation of the two electric motors is ensured by an electronic control device.

Abstract: An improved outdoor illuminated display device. The device generally comprises a housing, a base member and a plurality of lights positioned in the housing. Abstract: A currency operated display device is disclosed, the device being in the nature of a public bulletin board and having a mounting structure, a plurality of modules attached to the mounting structure each with at least one normally closed and secured display area access, and a centralized user interface for user selection of display area, duration of material display and receipt of currency. A default display area is provided in each module behind the user display area for material display when the user display area is not in use. The device is configured so that all operations, including maintenance, are undertaken from the front of the device.

Abstract: A glass front merchandiser having a refrigerated cabinet with a product zone normally closed by a glass front panel having a hinging side margin, the glass front panel including an outer glass pane and a structural frame member secured adjacent to the peripheral edge thereof along its hinging side margin, a hinge directly connected to the structural frame member and being constructed and arranged for hinging movement of the glass front panel on the refrigerated cabinet to open up the product zone, the outer peripheral edge of the structural frame member overhanging the hinge in a closed sealing position of the glass front panel with the merchandiser cabinet, and other seals constructed and arranged along the side margins of the glass front panel.

Abstract: A refrigerator display case having a plurality of insulated glass window panels mounted in side-by-side relation for pivotal movement about an upper horizontal pivot axis. Each of the window panels has a substantially all glass front appearance, unencumbered by external hardware, trim or moldings. To achieve such appearance, the upper spacer element of the window panel is in the form of a pivot bar completely concealed by an outer glass pane of the panel, but which has an exposed underside mounting surface to which a hinge plate is connected. Each window panel has side sealing members secured to respective side spacers and with a blade portion extending outwardly from the peripheral edges of the glass panes of the window panel for side-by-side sealing engagement with the side sealing members of adjacent window panels when the window panels are in a closed position.

In the region of the lower part of the cabinet a gas pressure spring is fitted horizontally in the region of the lower part of the cabinet between the lower sheet metal frame and the door.

Abstract: The invention is directed to a hinge assembly for pivotably interconnecting a frame and a glass door of a refrigerated display case. The hinge assembly is pivotable about a horizontal axis and includes a hinge movable between a first position and a second position. The hinge includes a spring biasing device for biasing the hinge to the first position or second position. A clamp is connected to the hinge and holds the glass door using only frictional force.

Abstract: A gas spring is connected between a cabinet and a lift-top lid and releasably holds the lid upwardly in a fully open position with respect to the cabinet. Gravity automatically pivots a safety latch into latching relation with the cylinder of the gas spring as the lid approaches its fully open position. If the gas spring loses pressure, the latch operably engages the cylinder to mechanically hold the lid in its fully open position and to prevent the lid from falling toward its closed position.

Abstract: A display case security apparatus has a lower chamber having a top partition wall and a bottom wall. There is an upper chamber. A partition wall has a plurality of ports therethrough that provide access between the lower chamber and upper chamber. There is at least one trapdoor, hingingly connected to the partition wall. There is at least one trapdoor biasing device, that has one end attached to the trapdoor and that has another end attached to the bottom wall. At least one security door, slidably attached to the partition wall, slidingly closes the ports when the trapdoor has moved to the open position. There is at least one security door biasing device that has one end attached to the partition wall and that has another end attached to the security door. The security door is secured in an open position by at least one first lock device attached to the partition wall.

Abstract: A refrigerator display cabinet having a front opening and a thermally insulated multiple-glass pane window panel mounted for pivotal movement about a horizontal axis adjacent the upper marginal end of the window panel. The window panel has an internal solid spacer bar adjacent the upper marginal end thereof which permits secure clamping of the window panel by hinge supports without crushing or other damage to the window panel. The hinge supports have a relatively streamlined configuration, which, together with the substantially frameless window panel, provide an esthetic modernistic appearance.

Abstract: The prevent invention is directed to improvements in vending machines of the type having an access door which is opened by a purchaser for removing a purchased article from within the machine.A two-stage hydraulic door closer is provided with a spring to return the access door through its arc of movement from the open to the closed position at a relatively slow, controlled, substantially uniform rate which allows a purchaser to open and release the door and then to remove an article from the interior of the vending machine with one hand without interference by the access door while the article is being removed.

Abstract: A display counter for use in supermarkets and like establishments for temporary storage, cooling and displaying of foodstuffs has a case with a hollow upper section having a pivotable front panel at the customer side and a horizontal counter top. The front panel can be pivoted by one or more fluid-operated motors with assistance from an attendant and through the medium of hinges which are mounted on forwardly extending arms of the skeleton frame of the upper section of the case. The top marginal portion of the front panel is held between discrete or integra rails of the hinges so that its exposed side is normally flush with the upper side of the counter top. One of the rails has a portion which extends rearwardly and overlies the adjacent portions of the arms and of the counter top to seal the interior of the case from the surrounding atmosphere when the front panel is held in its operative position at the customer side of the counter.

Abstract: A record player comprises a player cabinet and a slide base supporting a turntable and movably mounted in the player cabinet for movement into and out of the latter. The record player also includes a front door movably supported by the player cabinet for movement between a vertical position in which the front door closes an open front face of the player cabinet and a horizontal position within the player cabinet. When the front door is opened, it is withdrawn back into the player cabinet so that the front door will not interfere with operator's activities to manipulate the record player. The front door may be pivotably supported by swing levers so that the front door can easily be opened and closed without striking a top plate of the player cabinet. The front door may be actuated by a mechanism operatively connected to a substantially central portion of the front door laterally thereof for smoothly actuating the front door without distorting the front door while it is being opened or closed.

Abstract: A door construction for an appliance such as a baking and broiling oven for domestic use. The door has a counterbalance spring mechanism at each side of the door that includes a swing link interposed between the tension spring and the hinge lever of the door to obtain a door balancing torque that substantially follows the torque of the door as it moves between a vertical closed position and a horizontal fully open position.
