Abstract: A locking device for movable furniture parts comprises a guide rail with a plurality of blocking elements that is held displaceably along the guide rail, wherein each blocking element comprises a run-up-slope which can be contacted by an activator attached to a movable furniture part, and each locking element has a wall which can form a stop for the activator in order to lock the movable furniture part with the activator in a closed position. The guide rail moves between an anti-tipping position, in which all activators are arranged adjacent to a run-up slope on different blocking elements, and a blocking position, in which all activators arranged in the closed position are arranged adjacent to a wall on different blocking elements. In the anti-tipping position the guide rail is displaceable into the blocking position and is held in the blocking position via a holding device.

Abstract: An interlock system for an enclosure can include a power switch movable between an OFF position and an ON position with a defeater arm coupled to the power switch. The defeater arm can be selectively movable between a locked position and an unlocked position and when the defeater arm is in the locked position the power switch is prevented from moving from the OFF position to the ON position. An interlock can include a pivot bracket pivotally supported by a support bracket within the interior of the enclosure and movable between a first orientation, in which the pivot bracket is out of engagement with the defeater arm, and a second orientation, in which the pivot bracket displaces the defeater arm into the unlocked position. When the door is moved into a closed position from an open position, a door bracket displaces the pivot bracket into the second orientation.

Abstract: Methods, devices and program products are provided for a medical instrumentation storage cabinet. First and second instrumentation retention trays are configured to receive surgical instruments. The housing includes a top plate, a bottom shelf and at least one intermediate shelf there between. The bottom and intermediate shelfs and the first and second instrumentation retention trays include a plurality of holes there through to allow passage of a sterilization medium during a sterilization process. Standoffs are distributed about a perimeter of the housing. The standoffs separate the intermediate shelf from the top plate and bottom shelf to define first and second tray storage areas there between. The first and second tray storage areas have a shape and dimension to receive the first and second instrumentation retention trays. The standoffs are spaced apart from one another to define tray passages there between.

Abstract: A wirelessly controlled blocking apparatus to enable a single-point locking system for securing multiple access points on a cabinet panel. Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide for a wirelessly controlled blocking apparatus to enable a single-point locking system for securing multiple access points. In accordance with certain embodiments, the wirelessly controlled blocking apparatus is utilized to secure an access panel of an enclosure, such as an electronics cabinet. In accordance with certain preferred embodiments, an electronics cabinet comprises a plurality of quarter-turn cam latches being installed on the access panel and configured to selectively secure the access panel to an opening of the enclosure.

Abstract: A lock bar-on-slide rail style drawer antitipping safety device includes a cabinet body, a top drawer, at least one middle drawer, and at least one bottom drawer. The drawers are each provided with a sliding portion projecting from one side thereof. The cabinet body includes a vertical slide rail slidably mounted at one side that corresponds to the sliding portions. The vertical slide rail includes, in sequence from top to bottom, a first lock bar, a second lock bar, and a third lock bar slidably mounted thereto. Each of the first lock bar and the second lock bar is provided with a stop portion projecting from each of a top end and a bottom end thereof toward the corresponding sliding portion. The stop portions are provided to selectively block the sliding portions so as to prevent the drawers from accidentally sliding out or being opened simultaneously.

Abstract: An interlock system is provided that limits the ability of a user or seismic event to dislodge or partially remove more than one chassis from a rack at any one time. Thus, embodiments reduce the potential for the rack to be toppled by the weight of too many chassis extending from the rack at the same time. The interlock system includes a dynamic rail with locking blocks that move to engage hooks on the rear of the chassis. A trigger at each chassis slot is depressed with installation of a chassis. Upon the removal of any chassis, the associated trigger extends and causes the dynamic rail to be pulled down into a locking position in which the locking blocks engage the hooks on the remaining chassis, which prevents their removal.

In one embodiment, a latch for restricting motion of a substrate with respect to a fixed component within a slot of the telecommunications chassis is described. For example, the latch may include a mounting section allowing the latch to be mounted to the substrate. The latch may also include a cantilever section and an arc section connecting the mounting section to the cantilever section. Furthermore, the latch may include a retention component extending from a surface of the cantilever section. The retention component may be configured to restrict motion of the substrate when engaged with the fixed component within the slot.

Abstract: A rectangular shaped lockable bin is defined by four walls and a bottom wall. A lid is hingedly mounted to the rear wall and has a slot located in a front portion thereof. A lock having a latch is pivotably mounted to the front wall of said bin at a pivot point and is configured to be selectively rotated between a locked position and an unlocked position by an actuator. A tail extending from the lock contacts a post located on the wall of the bin and basis the lock in the unlocked position. A series of such bins may be received in a delivery module, which may be received in a drawer.

Abstract: An improved locking cover assembly to prevent access to rack-mounted equipment and the connections to and from conventional rack systems without trays or hinges. The locking cover assembly includes a three-sided front cover that slides onto mounting brackets, which are fastened to either the rack system via rack holes, rack ears, or over rack-mounted equipment. An internal tie bar allows the user to secure connections to the tie bar within the cover assembly. A locking mechanism attached to the front cover locks into the mounting brackets, and when locked, the cover assembly and mounting brackets preclude unauthorized access to the rack equipment, its connections, and the fasteners securing the both the rack-mounted equipment and mounting brackets.

The first protecting cover covers a data port of the computer case by sliding the first protecting cover in the first and the second locating grooves. The first protecting cover is mounted in the first and the second locating grooves by moving the first locking pole into the first restriction hole.

Abstract: An arc-resistant switchgear enclosure has a vent opening and a vent flap. Normally the vent flap is open to allow air to circulate through the enclosure. However, in the event of an arc fault explosion in the enclosure, the vent flap is forced to close by the explosion. As the vent flap closes, a flexible latch member moves along a keeper and prevents the vent flap from reopening. In some embodiments, the latch member contacts the keeper and props the vent flap open for normal operation.

Abstract: A lockable cabinet comprising a case, a drawer, a ganging lock mechanism, and a lock box recessed into the case. The lock box contains an external lock for securing the cabinet through a hasp style locking structure. The ganging lock mechanism prevents drawers from slidably moving from the cabinet when in the locked position and allows the drawers to be slidably moved to an open position when in the unlocked position.

Abstract: An arc-resistant switchgear enclosure has an interior compartment with a door opening and a vent outlet. The door is mounted to close the door opening. The door receives pins that extend from the enclosure. The pins have stops thereon that are received by a keyhole in the latch member. The latch member can slide so as to position the pin in a large opening in the keyhole and unlatch the door or a narrow opening in the keyhole to latch the door. The latch members are ganged so that a handle operates all of the latch members.

A mechanical interlock controls the order in which the doors are closed. The mechanical interlock is mounted to the cabinet and is in contact with the doors when they are closed, the interlock being biased by a biasing device to bear against the first door when any of the other doors is opened. A locking bar is movably attached to the first door, and releasably attached to the secondary door. wherein attachment to the secondary door prevents both doors from inadvertent opening.

Abstract: A switchgear door latch system is provided which prevents a door of a switchgear enclosure from opening should an arc-fault explosion occur within the enclosure. A slide bar is fixable in a locked position and an unlocked position, wherein the slide bar is biased in the unlocked position. A servo motor is adapted to rotate a servo cam in a second rotational direction to move the slide bar into the locked position, and is adapted to rotate the lock cam in the first rotational direction to move the slide bar into the unlocked position.

Abstract: A locking mechanism to minimize access to a portion of a rack-mounted electronic device is provided. The locking mechanism includes a bar supported at one end to a first vertical post of the rack, and a locking member supported at a second end of the bar for locking to a second vertical post. In one embodiment, the bar is pivotally supported at the one end to the first post. The bar is movable between an open position where unimpeded access to a first portion of the electronic device is provided, and a closed position to restrict removal of components from the first portion of the electronic device. A clearance space may provided between the bar and the electronic device in the closed position to allow a user to access an electronic component to remove power from the component, but not to fully remove the component without unlocking the locking member.

Abstract: A storage unit having a frame, drawers and a carrying handle. When the unit is lifted by the handle, or the handle is moved to a position suitable for lifting the storage unit, the handle arms lift the bottom drawer of the stack of drawers which in turn lifts each of the above drawers relative to the frame. As each drawer rises, the clearance gap between adjacent drawers is reduced and the drawers are moved to a locked position where they are blocked by detents mounted on the inside of the frame. In an alternative embodiment (not shown), the handle is coupled to drawer locking slides instead of the bottom drawer and detents on the drawer locking slides engage with the drawers to lock them in the closed position as the drawer locking slides are moved relative to the frame.

When one of the drawers is open, the guiding member of the open drawer will link the relative locking member to move the linking frame, which then links the other locking members. The guiding member of the open drawer triggers the relative locking member to lock the linking frame temporarily, and the other locking members block their relative guiding members so that the other drawers are unable to slide.

Each pin has a seat for supporting the biasing element and engaging a notch within the actuator. The position of the seat determines whether the actuator is moveable. When all seats are substantially aligned the actuator is traversable to an unlocked position by a manually moveable member. A manually moveable member disengages the device from the enclosure allowing the enclosure to open.

Abstract: The drop-bin unit has at least several bins arranged to pivot outwardly about a generally horizontal axis, from a closed position where outer faces of the bins are generally aligned vertically with each other, to an open position where the outer surfaces angle outwardly from their closed positions. The bins are stacked one above another within a housing, and are connected together, for example via at least one gang bar, such that pivoting one bin outwardly causes all of the bins to pivot outwardly in unison. Abstract: A child safety lock to selectively secure cabinet drawers and doors by using tie-wraps to mount a horizontally oriented base standoff onto the front rail of the cabinetry in a manner that won't hinder opening and closing the related doors and drawers. At least one spring-loaded latch member is pivotally disposed on the base standoff above a notched out section. The latch member stays frictionally engaged in the horizontal position due to the bias provided by spring-loaded pivot point when access is desired. To restrict access therein, the adult simply turns the latch member to the vertical position to block the door/drawer wherein the spring bias pulls it into the notched out section thereby necessitating the more complex action of simultaneously pulling and turning the latch member to allow access thereto.

A bin or shelf arrangement may also be positioned within the storage cabinet interior. The various support and storage modules or components may be used in various combinations, and may be moved to various positions within the storage cabinet interior.

The actuator includes a release that allows the lock bar to be moved by the striker from the locked to the unlocked position when the striker impacts a camming surface on the catch.

Abstract: One aspect of the invention relates to an assembly comprising a plurality of bins with a plurality of lids associated therewith. Each of the bins has a lock assembly that includes a catch operable to lock the lid in its closed position and a mechanical indicator responsive to the catch. Another aspect of the invention relates to an automated dispensing cabinet that includes a control computer and a plurality of drawers having a plurality of row assemblies therein. Each row assembly has bins that include a tabbed lid, a lock assembly with a catch operable to engage and disengage the tab, and an indicator responsive to the lock assembly. Methods for dispensing from and restocking the remote dispensing systems are also given, as well as a method for indicating which item is to be dispensed from one of a plurality of bins.

An indicator is disposed on the safety cabinet for, among other things, making the safety cabinet easy to locate and indicating the nature of the contents stored in the safety cabinet, especially in situations where the safety cabinet is located in a room where there is smoke or low light.

Abstract: A personal digital assistant protection system for protecting a PDA along with receiving various PDA accessories. The personal digital assistant protection system includes a housing with an upper opening within an upper surface, and a tray removably positionable within the housing. The tray includes a support member that supports a PDA in a manner aligned with the upper opening when the tray is positioned within the housing. An auxiliary power source and other items may positioned within the tray.
