    Abstract: The sheet-metal casing comprises at least two sheet-metal parts (1, 2) and has a plastic seal (9) arranged in between. A first sheet-metal part (1) is folded over along the seal (9) to form a fold (10) and comes into contact with the second part (2) in such a way that, in addition to the fold (10), a gap (13) for accommodating the seal (9) forms. The fold (10) ensures good electrical contact between the two parts (1, 2) and thus good screening. At the same time, it defines the width of the gap (13), so that the seal (9) is subjected to defined compression.

Four of the sections of meal sheet are formed to define the four corner posts (18), each having a long side (144) and a short side (146) which are perpendicular. The longer sides (144) of the corner posts (18) are aligned parallel to a depth of the cabinet (12). Lengths of the four corner posts (18) extend for the height of the cabinet (12), with end portions (78) of the corner posts (18) overlapping and fitting flush against the outer sides (62, 64) of respective ones of the corners (15, 17) of the top (14) and base (16).

    Abstract: A main board support panel retains a main computer board in a computer enclosure. The main board support panel has a plate for supporting the main board. The plate has a bottom edge and an opposite top edge. Two retaining tabs are formed on the bottom edge. Two offset tabs are formed on a bottom plate of the enclosure and gaps are defined between the offset tabs and the bottom plate of the enclosure for receiving the retaining tabs therein. Two retaining lugs are formed on the top edge of the plate. Each retaining lug has an inclined first edge and an opposite second edge with a recess defined therein. Each retaining lug is inserted between first and second bosses formed on the enclosure by moving the main board support panel in a first direction substantially normal to the panel.

The casing cover has a cover plate abutting against the stop member so as to be prevented from sliding in a rearward direction. An elongated spring plate is disposed on the frame plate, and includes front and rear inclined plate sections extending through the front and rear spring-retaining holes and an abutment plate section abutting against a lower surface of the frame plate in such a manner that intersection of the front and rear inclined plate sections press the cover plate away from the frame plate in a direction perpendicular to the latter, thereby fixing the cover plate with respect to the frame plate.

Floor panels (116, 118) and lid panels (154) are provided compatible with the I-beam edge configuration of the side panels (30) such that the lid, floor and sidewalls mutually interlock with high structural integrity. The modularity of the side panels (30) allow for enclosures of larger or smaller size to be created using the same panel componentry.
