Abstract: A laundry appliance includes a cabinet that includes a front panel that defines an aperture. A user-interface assembly is positioned within the aperture and includes a retaining bracket assembly. The user-interface assembly is biased by a force of gravity toward an open rest position. A spring pin is selectively engaged with the retaining bracket assembly. The user-interface assembly is retained in a retained position by the engagement between the spring pin and the retaining bracket assembly. A spring bracket is coupled to an interior surface of the user-interface assembly. The spring bracket engages an inner surface of the front panel to stop the user-interface assembly in the open rest position when the retaining bracket assembly is released from engagement with the spring pin.

The interior comprises several cooling compartments in a stacked arrangement, each cooling compartment having an inner door. At least one upper cooling compartment has a supplementary seal for sealing its inner door compared to at least one lower cooling compartment.

Abstract: A mobile technology cabinet includes a compartment having a work platform mounted for rotational motion between a substantially vertical storage position and a deployed position. A monitor support is operatively connected to the work platform such that movement of the work platform between the storage position and the deployed position causes the monitor support to rise from a storage position to a deployed position. The work platform may be rotated relative to the cabinet to simultaneously deploy the work surface and to raise the monitor. A base supports the cabinet for movement on wheels. A frame extends from the base and supports a cabinet such that the cabinet is movable between a raised position and a lowered position.

Abstract: “The Fold Up Dormitory” is intended for use in situations where living and working quarters for a small or large number of people are required on short notice or irregular intervals. The apparatus is made of wood, steel and premanufactured hardware, and comprises components for sleeping, working and storage of small items. It is mobile, simple to operate and offers many options to those who use it. The apparatus comprises: a central core; a pair of folding frames, each pivotally connected to the central core on opposite sides thereof, for rotation about vertical frame-to-core axes of connection; a bed platform pivotally connected to a first side of the central core, for rotation about a horizontal bed-to-core axis of connection; a desk surface pivotally connected to a second side of the central core, for rotation about a horizontal desk-to-core axis of connection; and storage shelving within the central core.

The refrigerator also includes a storage chamber defined by interior walls of the cabinet and configured to store food stuffs. The refrigerator further includes a door configured to open and close an access point to the storage chamber by rotating about a rotational axis. In addition, the refrigerator includes a supporting member positioned at the storage chamber and configured to be moved in connection with opening and closing of the door.

Abstract: An opening-angle restricting device includes a main casing, a cover member, a string member, a take-up unit, and a stopper unit. The main casing has an inner space for accommodating an image forming unit that forms an image on a recording medium. The cover member is coupled to the main casing via a hinge. The cover member has an inner side that faces the inner space when the cover member is closed. The string member has one end fixed to the main casing. The take-up unit is provided at the inner side of the cover member. The take-up unit is configured to pay out and take up the string member. The stopper unit restricts paying out of the string member when an amount of payout in the string member reaches a predetermined amount, thereby restricting an opening angle of the cover member at a predetermined angle.

Abstract: Disclosed is a decorative wall mounted container system. The system includes a container with an opened front and a pivotal forward cover. The cover has both a closed orientation, overlying the opened front of the container and an opened orientation. The front face of the cover can take the form of a decorative picture, which is displayed when the cover is in the closed orientation. In the opened configuration, the cover is retained at a 90-degree angle relative to the container, such that the rearward face of the cover can be used as a work surface and the contents of the container can be accessed.

The pivotable vertical wall includes at least one horizontal work surface that extends forwardly. A stationary vertical wall may be positioned adjacent the pivotable wall and may provide partial support for another horizontal work surface that extends forwardly from the stationary wall. The stationary wall may include a pivotable panel that allows easy access to wires positioned behind the stationary wall. A top shelf may extend across both the pivotable and stationary walls and include apertures positioned behind the plane defined by the two walls so that wires can be inserted through the apertures to the space behind the walls.

Abstract: The invention is a combination toolchest/workbench. The toolchest/workbench has a base member with an upper surface, and front, back and side edges. An upright rear panel with lateral edges and a top edge, is affixed to the back edge of the base member. A pair of opposed upright side panels, each having a lower edge adjacent to one of the side edges of the base, an upper edge, a forward edge, and a rear edge, are each pivotably attached to one of the lateral edges of the rear panel. The inside surfaces of at least certain of the rear and side panels have tool-holding device receptors. The toolchest/workbench has a top member and an openable front panel. The toolchest/workbench can thus present an array of tools in a securable enclosure.

Abstract: A galley unit 10 for an aircraft is equipped with a utility mechanism (a counter equipment 20 and 200, a decorating wall 131B, and a cabinet 60) provided to at least one wall surface of a box body (closet) 13B, and a cover body (door member 30, cover member 70) with at least its outer wall surfaces made of a special fireproof material. The cover bodies 30 and 70 are construed so as to be movable between a first position for covering the wall surface provided with said utility mechanism, and a second position for opening the wall surface. When the cover bodies are in the first position, outer wall surfaces of the galley unit are all construed from special fireproof material, and the counters 20 and 200 are folded and stored to the side wall surface, and decorators are stored inside the storage space inside the box body.

A desk panel is mounted in the outside of the door and is connected to the door by a pair of four-bar linkages. Abstract: A sun shield device for automobile includes a tubular central axle, a revolving sleeve which has a diameter larger than and a length shorter than that of the central axle being rotatably supported around the central axle, a shading sheet engaged on and wound around the revolving sleeve, an auto-rewinding device which is installed between the central axle and the revolving sleeve for driving the revolving sleeve to rotate so as to automatically rewind the shading sheet around the revolving sleeve, a supporting device including a pair of supporters extendably connected to two ends of the central axle respectively, and an adjusting device for adjusting the length of at least one of the supporters so as to adjust an overall length of the sun shield device until two supporting end members of the two supporters respectively firmly pressed against two interior side walls of a trunk of an automobile so as to horizontally support the sun shield device within the trunk.

The front cover is spring biased toward the closed position. An inner storage bin or binder holder is pivotally mounted inside of the compartment. The inner storage bin is pivotable between an upright position and an angled forward position. The inner storage bin is constructed to remain in either the forward or upright position, whichever is its current position.

The unit comprises a stationary desk having a partially open front, with a kneehole opening forming at least a portion of the open front. A moveable return pivotally mounted at on one side of the desk comprises a vertical face panel and a work surface mounted at a rear side of the face panel. The return is pivotal between a closed position, wherein the face panel covers the open portion of the front of the desk and the return work surface is concealed behind the face panel, and an open position, wherein the face panel is pivoted outwardly from the front of the desk, exposing the kneehole opening in the desk. The return work surface extends forwardly from the desk alongside the kneehole opening when the return is opened. The face panel is configured so as to create the impression that the furniture unit is a credenza with no kneehole opening when the return is closed.

Abstract: A self-retracting, wall-mounted desk and chart holder especially useful as a decentralized nurses' station is provided having a slim profile, compact construction, and being specifically designed for mounting on walls outside patient rooms. The chart holder includes a body having structure for defining a side entry storage slot of sufficient width to receive a medical chart standing on edge and extending parallel to the wall on which the chart holder is mounted. The slot is shorter than the chart so that a portion of the chart may project out beyond the slot and above the slot to make it visible at-a-glance. The chart holder further includes a desktop which is swingably attached to the body for movement of the desktop between a horizontal open position for use as a work surface, and a vertical closed position.

At one end of the desk is a rotating platform assembly (68) which is adapted to support a slide projector or the like. At the other end of the desk is a foldable, semicircular conference assembly (86) which can be folded to lie adjacent the other end of the desk.

Abstract: The stowable shelf bag cart of the present invention includes a base portion resting on a wheeled chassis. The base portion includes a fixed lower shelf. A frame extends upwardly from the base portion, and includes four upright corner members connected at their upper ends by four lateral braces. The two ends of the cart are enclosed by end walls and a cover extends over the top of the cart. A stowable shelf is placed approximately halfway between the base and the top of the frame. The shelf includes axial projections at both ends that glide within a track fixed to each end wall. One other projection is located at each of the four corners of the stowable shelf. These projections are slidably received in tracks that are integral with the four upright corner members above the level of the stowable shelf. Latches are provided that securely lock the stowable shelf in the shelf position, yet permit the shelf to be easily adjusted to a right or left side wall position by one person without using any tools.

Abstract: A mobile desk apparatus is set forth for use in inclement environmental conditions including horizontal legs spaced at one hundred twenty degrees relative to one another integrally and orthogonally secured to a central telescoping mass structure. An internal tube of the mast structure is fixedly mounted relative to an external tube by use of a friction lock directed through the external tube to impose upon an exterior surface of the internal tube. The desk portion includes a plurality of spaced "L" shaped brackets positioned on either side of the internal tube with arcuate slots directed therethrough to enable angular orientation of the desk relative to the mast structure. A transparent, polymeric cover is pivotally mounted to overlie the desk structure with a rear flange hingedly mounted adjacent a rear bottom edge of the desk and removably relative to the desk to present a selective writing surface or its removal enabling convenient access to interior contents of the desk.

Abstract: A cover for a stowage compartment can pivot about a pivot axis running along the lower edge of the stowage compartment. On a stay projecting into the stowage compartment it has an eye, which engages in a guide on one side wall of the stowage compartment. This guide narrows towards the end at the opening side so that the eye is increasingly braked by clamping action as the cover is opened.

Abstract: A cabinet-type bed comprises a cabinet having a pair of sidewalls upon which a bed frame is hingedly received to enable it to swing from an upright position within the cabinet into a position in which the ends form the cabinet. The pivots include a pin extending through the frame and into a housing therewithin, the pin carrying a segment with a curved edge to which a chain is anchored at one end. The chain runs over a pulley fixed in the housing and terminates in a holder attached to the wall of the housing opposite the idler by a first spring. The holder is also engageable by an end of a second spring after a certain travel to tension this second spring when the bed is swung out of the cabinet, the first spring being continuously tensioned by the chain during such swinging movement.
