Tilting Support Causes Recording Medium To Roll Out Patents (Class 312/9.18)
  • Patent number: 11406189
Abstract: A furniture assembly system including: a horizontal member; a vertical member arranged to cross said horizontal member as viewed in a plan view; a cross axis extending in an axial direction; a binding element to bind the horizontal member to the vertical member along the cross axis. The horizontal member crosses the vertical member at a crossover interface where the horizontal member is keyed to the vertical member at a keying interface adjacent the crossover interface to limit circumferential rotation therebetween about the cross axis.

  • Patent number: 6578935
Abstract: CD player apparatus comprising a case having a front opening and side walls, and a slider in the case to carry a CD or DVD, and forwardly movable toward and partly through the front opening; a release at one side wall to be actuated to release the slider for forward movement relative to the front opening; an arm at the outer side of the side wall and supported to pivot toward and away from the release; and an actuator carried by the arm to be manually moved to pivot the arm toward the release to activate the release, whereby the slider can then move forward relative to the front opening.

  • Patent number: 6332656
Abstract: A system for the storage and retrieval of discs (e.g., CDs, DVDs) and the like. An outer housing contains a tiltable inner housing having grooves on upper and lower walls for holding discs by their edges in a vertical orientation. A portal element, formed with a vertical slot for loading and retrieving discs, is movable across the front of the outer housing into alignment with individual disc positions of the inner housing. Flexible shutters are attached to the portal element, maintaining the entire front of the outer housing closed, except for the portal opening. The inner housing has a stable position, tilted slightly to the rear, causing the discs to roll to storage position at the back. A selected disc can be retrieved by tilting the inner housing forwardly, causing the discs to roll forwardly. All discs except the selected disc, aligned with the portal slot, are held back by the flexible shutter, while the selected disc is allowed to roll through the portal slot to an exposed retrieval position.
