Abstract: A mechanical finger for a mechanical hand, has: a proximal phalanx pivotably mountable to a support of the mechanical hand to pivot relative to the support about a finger pivot axis; a distal phalanx pivotably connected to the proximal phalanx via a first living hinge to pivot relative to the proximal phalanx about a first pivot axis; and a skeleton member pivotably connected at one end to the distal phalanx via a second living hinge to pivot relative to the distal phalanx about a second pivot axis offset from the first pivot axis and at another end operatively connected to an actuator of the mechanical hand to be selectively movable by the actuator to pivot the distal phalanx relative to the proximal phalanx and to pivot the distal phalanx relative to the support when the finger is in use.

Abstract: A chuck mechanism enables downsizing of the device with a simple structure, has a wide open/close width of clamps, and hardly causes a dent or scar on pipes. The chuck mechanism includes a horizontally arranged shaft, a frame, a pair of dog leg shaped link members, parallel link members, a pair of clamp members, and a swing drive mechanism.
Abstract: An index control apparatus for the tool rest of an NC lathe for driving the tool rest to a desired indexed position on the basis of an NC machining command. In order to make the swivelling velocity of the tool rest adjustable as desired and to index the tool rest quickly and with a high accuracy, a servo motor is used as the driving source for swivelling the tool rest. The swivelling angle and the swivelling velocity of the tool rest are optimized in accordance with an index command and the current position of the tool rest, and quick indexing operation is enabled in respective of the indexed position. The output torque of the servo motor is limited at the time of clamping/unclamping the tool rest, thereby facilitating the clamping/unclamping operation.
Abstract: A circuit provides an electrical output signal proportional to but electrically isolated from a current flowing in a power circuit, and more particularly, to the current supplied to the field or armature winding of a DC motor load which receives power from a rectifier circuit coupled to an AC power source. The circuit includes a transformer including at least two windings, a primary and a secondary, wound on a saturable core. The primary winding is coupled to the power circuit, whereas the secondary winding is coupled to an output circuit along with control circuit means which are adapted to keep the core out of saturation in response to a power current flowing in the primary winding which by itself is adapted to drive the core into saturation. Accordingly, the time the core is not in saturation an output current flows in the secondary winding, which is related to the primary current by the turns ratio of the transformer.
Abstract: Negative sequence compensation apparatus for reducing, and thereafter minimizing the increase of, negative sequence currents flowing in a three phase motor includes variable impedance elements, and means for adjusting the impedance thereof, disposed in the motor supply lines. Alternate embodiments disclose saturable reactors as the variable impedance elements electrically connected with the supply terminals by way of alternate transformer connections.
