Abstract: The current marking gauges, mortise gauges and circle marking gauges on the market require use of a ruler to measure distances prior to marking, which is inconvenient and time consuming. Moreover, the accuracy of the marked dimension is inexact due to the low accuracy of using a ruler. Furthermore, parallax error created by transferring the measured distance between the rule and the gauges also needs to be accounted for, which reduces accuracy even further. This present invention helps to improve the accuracy of the measurement and marking of the gauges, increases efficiency, convenience, saves time and is easy to use. The new product is a digital multifunctional marking gauge, that includes a Digital Unit, Main Slider, Beam, Display, Fixed Pin, Adjustable Pin, Adjustment Slider, Fence, Calibration Frame, Calibration bar, Setting Block, Scriber, Set function button of the Digital Unit, Locking Screw, Fixing Screws and related components.

Abstract: A user manipulated apparatus for producing straight construction lines on sheet material includes a linearly extensive frame with integrally formed handle and an expendable marking strip affixed to a bottom edge of the frame. A user positions the frame so that its ends are in registry with the endpoints of a desired construction line, with the marking strip contacting the surface of the sheet material. The user then linearly displaces the frame a short distance along its length so that the marking strip rubs along the surface of the sheet material and produces a visible construction line. The portion of the frame that supports the marking substance may be compliant to ensure that the marking substance fully engages the surface of the sheet material even when the sheet material has surface irregularities or is not perfectly planar.
Abstract: A device for locating vertical wall features and for translating those features onto drywall board or sheeting material to be placed onto the vertical wall. The device includes a main body having a top edge and a bottom edge, at least one channel, the at least one channel being substantially perpendicular to the bottom edge. A rail is provided having first and second terminal ends sized to be slidably and selectively retained within the at least one channel and a lock that selectively prevents sliding of the rail within the channel The rail is of a length such that as its first terminal end locates the features, the second terminal end translates the position of those features onto drywall board to be later placed upon the vertical wall proximate the features.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for scribing tile is disclosed. The disclosed scribing tool preferably comprises a scribe member, a tile engagement member, and an extension member. The scribe member is preferably connected to the tile engagement member via the extension member. The extension member is preferably pivotally connected to the scribe member and both pivotally and slideably connected to the tile engagement member.
Abstract: The invention is a device and method that allows a user to easily and efficiently hand cut a mat and liner without the need to reposition the mat board. The notched features of the top frame and the different widths of the cutter guides set the parameters for the beginning and of each cut on a mat or a liner for a framed and double matted piece of artwork. Consequently these cuts may be made by a user with limited need for the degree of care which is commonly required in mat cutting using current technology.
Abstract: A tool for scribing a longitudinal groove on an elongate cylindrical rod suitable for implanting as a prosthetic in a living being supports the rod in a linear groove on a bed of a frame of the tool. A track is mounted on the frame and runs parallel to the groove. A carrier mounted on the track can slide on the track in constant spaced relation to and along the groove. A scribe mounted on the carrier extends toward the groove to contact a rod in the predetermined position. A preferred version of the tool has a clamp mounted on the bed for clamping the rod in the predetermined position. Additional features allow for precise angular positioning of the rod and for scribing a dashed line on the rod. In use, the tool operator places the rod in the predetermined position in the groove. The scribe is then pressed into contact with the rod. While the scribe is in pressed contact with the rod, the operator slides the carrier along the track.

Abstract: The present invention is a tool for scribing a paver. The tool allows for the alignment and scribing of rectangular pavers to be placed in an arc pattern. The tool includes an alignment head having a left end and a right end. A scribe guide extends from said alignment head, said scribed guide including a scribing side. A first guide pin extends from said right end of said alignment head and a second guide pin extends from said left end of said alignment head.
Abstract: First and second guide plates are engaged for linear sliding between them by a channel and rib engagement system. A grooving tool is carried by the plate associated with the rib, and the rib is in axial alignment with the tool head, such that the tool head can lead the rib. When a groove is being cut into a workpiece, the rib can follow the tool head into the cut groove to extend the range of the guide. Ribs of different size can be selected to coordinate with the tool and groove width. Filler strips similarly coordinate the channel width. An alternate or supplemental guide system joins the first plate to a series of accordion style hinged and foldable plates. These plates guide the first plate in linear movement as they fold or unfold.

Abstract: A tool for cutting the ends of conveyor belts square includes a T square having a cross leg standing transverse to the belt when the tool is used and a primary leg extending longitudinally along the belt. A pair of end links are adapted to engage opposite sides of the belt when the tool is used. The end links are pivotally connected to each of three cross links, which are pivotally connected to the primary leg of the T square at the midpoints of the cross legs. Accordingly, the primary leg lies along the center line of the conveyor belt when the end links are brought into engagement with the sides of the conveyor belt. By cutting along the cross leg, the belt is cut square to the center line of the belt.
