  • Patent number: 11111109
Abstract: A method and a mounting device for carrying out an installation operation in an elevator shaft of an elevator system include introducing a first elongate reference element into the elevator shaft oriented in a main direction of extent of the elevator shaft. The mounting device is introduced into the elevator shaft, which mounting device has a carrier component and a mechatronic installation component held by the carrier component. The mounting device is displaced into a fixing position in the main direction of extent of the elevator shaft. The relative position of the carrier component of the mounting device is determined with respect to the first reference element in the fixing position with a sensor arranged on the installation component. The relative position of the first reference element is determined with respect to at least two different sensor positions and thus positions of the installation component.

  • Patent number: 7631435
Abstract: The invention relates generally to plumbing control joints in masonry walls, and apparatus for plumbing a control joint in a brick wall surface. A mounting bracket supports a bracket rod and cylindrical collar which may slide axially along and pivot about the bracket rod. The plumb rod is slidably received in an adjustable holding member. The plumb rod is then secured relative to the holding member. A spirit level is fixed within a circular bore of the holding member, which can be adjusted to the user's desired position. To ensure the plumb rod is perpendicular to level ground, the holding member is pivoted until the spirit level indicates the desired result and the position is secured. A plumb control joint is guaranteed by successively laying the brick layers against the plumb rod in a manner which is typically known in the art.

Abstract: A system for laying and leveling a tile walking surface, i.e. indoor floor or outdoor patio or pathway, where the system relies upon the use of inserts embedded within the adhesive for securing the tile. A preferred insert is a single plastic member, preferably circular in configuration, and contains plural through openings for receiving and securing the insert into the adhesive. Optionally, removable space dividers may be provided where the space dividers are initially positioned in the openings for spacing adjacent tiles, then removed to allow grouting of the spaces. Alternately, the insert may be a two-piece member that can be vertically adjusted where needed to ensure a level substrate and hence a level walking surface.

  • Patent number: 6601309
Abstract: A system for marking a corner angle in a working area with the aid of light planes, wherein a straight, elongate guide is disposed on each respective side of a planar working surface in the working area. Each guide carries a carriage that can be moved to chosen positions alongs its guide. Each carriage carries a laser unit which is adapted to emit a light plane that intersects the working surface, as well as the light plane of the other laser unit, at a chosen angle. Each laser unit is adapted to maintain its light plane in a set orientation relative to the longitudinal axis of its associated guide, regardless of the position to which the carriage has been moved along said guide, and both laser units are adapted to be activated simultaneously for marking said corner angle.
