Abstract: The present teachings provide for a weeding table including a table portion, a clamp device, and a heating mechanism. The table portion can include a table member and a work-surface. The clamp device can include a clamp and a cylinder. The clamp can include a base fixedly coupled to the table member and an arm coupled to the base. The arm can be movable relative to the base between a first position and a second position. The cylinder can be coupled to the arm to be translated thereby such that the cylinder is a greater distance from the work-surface when the arm is in the first position than when the arm is in the second position. The cylinder can be rotatable relative to the arm about a longitudinal axis of the cylinder. The heating mechanism can be coupled to the table member and can be configured to heat the work-surface.
Abstract: The present invention provides a measurement apparatus particularly suited for layout work. More specifically, the present invention is useful for taking a single measurement of a span or object, dividing the measured length into a desired number of equal segments, and providing indicators for marking those points.
Abstract: A drawing board assembly includes a rectangular board including two opposite end portions each having a side wall transversely defining an elongate guiding track therein and a top wall. Two inverted L-shaped sliding bases are each slidably supported on a corresponding one of the two end portions of the board and each include a first plate abutting on the top wall and a second plate abutting on the side wall. Two slides are each fixedly mounted on the second plate of a corresponding one of the two sliding bases and are each slidably received in the guiding track A ruler is slidably mounted on the board, and an elongate frame is fixedly mounted on the ruler and includes two end portions each connected with the first plate of a corresponding one of the two sliding bases.
Abstract: A device for marking lines on a piece of sail cloth for cutting out sections therefrom for making a sail, comprising an elongated and horizontally extending table for supporting a length of sail cloth thereon and being wider than the width of the sail cloth, a continuous strip of gearbelt material extending along each side edge of the table whereby the strips of gearbelt material are parallel to each other and to the longitudinal axis of the table, each strip of gearbelt material being pliant and being provided with internal reinforcements to prevent substantial longitudinal stretching thereof, the upper portion of each strip of gearbelt material being provided with uniformly spaced gear teeth for the length of each strip. A longitudinally moveable carriage is mounted on the table, and a transverse rotatable shift is mounted in the carriage.
Abstract: Apparatus for sign-making using dry transfer of letters from carrier sheets allows any of a number of different character sizes and row spacings to be provided. A carrier sheet bearing characters of a desired size is positioned relative to a carriage in dependence upon whether a row to be formed contains all upper case characters, or some or all lower-case characters. The carriage is movable smoothly in a horizontal direction to allow any desired horizontal spacing of characters, but movable vertically only in discrete increments. A plurality of row spacing indicators are positionable adjacent a sign blank to afford a preview of how characters of a given size having a given spacing will appear on a sign blank.
