  • Patent number: 5459937
Abstract: A mat board cutting guide for use in cutting mat board for flamed pictures, for example, is disclosed. The cutting guide includes an elongated straight edge having a top and a bottom surface, a first and a second end, and a first and a second edge. The first and the second edge are parallel to each other and extending along the entire length of the straight edge. The cutting guide also includes a squaring head having a thickness substantially equal to the thickness of a standard single mat board, approximately 1/16 of an inch. The squaring edge is attached to the bottom surface of the straight edge at the first end of the straight edge. The squaring head includes a squaring edge adapted to engage a first edge of a piece of mat board when the bottom surface of the straight edge is placed on the piece of mat board. The squaring head is attached to the straight edge such that the squaring edge of the squaring head is perpendicular to the first and second edge of the straight edge.

  • Patent number: 4499667
Abstract: A guide clamp is disclosed which includes a clamping jaw at one end of a guide bar. An opposing shifting jaw is slidably carried on the guide bar to permit a workpiece to be embraced by the jaws. The guide bar is a flat, rectangular channel member open at the undersurface which engages the workpiece surface. The jaws, extended below this undersurface engage the opposite sides of the workpiece, such as a board, with the shifting jaw being shiftable and lockable in the channel at a jaw-engaging position and with the clamp jaw being shiftable in the channel a short distance by lever action to lock the clamp onto the workpiece. When so mounted and locked upon a workpiece, the guide clamp may be used as a clamp, a marker guide or a tool guide. Suitable guideways to guide and hold tools, jegs and the like may be provided on the guide bar.

  • Patent number: 4196674
Abstract: A multi-level drafting table construction including a table base supporting a drafting board, and an arrangement of link members pivotally interconnecting the drafting board and table base. One of the link members, which is pivotally interconnected at one end to the drafting board, has its other end selectively receivable in ratchet teeth provided on the table base for adjusting inclination of the drafting board in multi-level positions of the board. A front link member is pivotally connected at one end to the table base at a first pivot axis which is a common axis for inclination of the drafting board about said axis for inclination of the board in a first range of inclined positions. The front link member is pivotally connected at its other end at a second pivot axis to the drafting board to provide pivotal movement of the drafting board about said pivot axis in a different range of inclined positions and at different levels.
